Bug Bite (Japanese: むしくい Bug Bite) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Generation IV
Bug Bite inflicts damage. If the target is holding a Berry, the user will then eat the target's Berry and gain its effect. Bug Bite's Berry-stealing ability will not work on a target that is behind a Substitute.
Generation V
Bug Bite's power doubles to 120 if the target is holding a Berry. It steals and eats the Berry as usual.

Trivia
- This move was more widely distributed in Pokémon Platinum. Only four Pokémon were able to learn it (without breeding) in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and even then, only by way of move relearner.
- Kuitaran and Drapion are the only non Template:Type2 Pokémon that are capable of learning Bug Bite by leveling up.
