Beat Up (Japanese: ふくろだたき Gang Up) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation II. Prior to Generation IV, it was the signature move of Sneasel.
Effect
Generation II-IV
Beat Up inflicts damage on the target from each conscious Pokémon in the user's party which does not have a non-volatile status. Each attack is typeless and has a base power of 10; damage is determined using each attacking Pokémon's base Attack and the target's base Defense. IVs, EVs, Natures, and type advantages are not considered. Beat Up skips the randomization factor, but does apply same-type attack bonus for Template:Type2 Pokémon. Beat Up ignores Wonder Guard, as it is considered a typeless attack.
In a double battle, if a Pokémon uses Beat Up on its partner, the partner will attack itself (unless it suffers from a status ailment).
Each attack is preceded with the message "<name>'s Attack!", where <name> is the name of the Pokémon in the player's party.
Generation V
Beat Up's power is now based solely on the user's base attack (rather than each team member individually), divided by 10, with 5 power added to the result. Beat Up no longer lists the Pokémon that is using Beat Up, and has a chance of landing a critical hit for each hit. Beat Up now receives STAB from Template:Type2 users and no longer deals typeless damage. Beat Up ignores changes to stat levels like from Swords Dance, but each hit does increase in power from attack boosting items like Choice Band, provided that that item is held by the user.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
Beat Up warps enemy Pokémon to the user's position. It can warp up to four, but may also fail.

Trivia
- A glitch in Gold, Silver, and Crystal Versions allows the player to turn a hatched Sneasel knowing Beat Up as its third move into a Celebi by exploiting the fact that Celebi and the move Beat Up share the same index number.
