Liquid Ooze (Japanese: ヘドロえき Oozing Liquid) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. All Pokémon that have this Ability are Poison types.
Effect
In battle
This move effect may be in need of research. Reason: Checking effect of Big Root of damage dealt You can discuss this on the talk page. |
Liquid Ooze causes HP-draining moves to cause injury. If a Pokémon with Liquid Ooze is hit by an HP-draining move such as Giga Drain or Leech Life, or takes damage from the effect of Leech Seed, the amount of HP that would be recovered by the opponent is dealt as damage instead. The damage dealt by the move is not affected. Prior to Generation V, Dream Eater is not affected by this Ability.
Even if the user of the HP-draining move cannot heal from its effect due to having full HP or the effect of Heal Block, it will still take damage.
HP draining moves
Outside of battle
Liquid Ooze has no effect outside of battle.
