Question
Hey Kogoro, sorry if this the wrong area but I see that this talk is more active than the one on Bulbagarden Archives. When I try to upload new scans for new TCG cards, it will not allow me to do so stating that I must be an autoconfirmed user or a confirmed user. Please help! Thanks, SirFinkleBottom 16:15, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- Confirmed is an Archives-exclusive usergroup that executive staff can apply to uploaders who have been approved to upload Generation VI game images, but don't meet the requirements for Autoconfirmed. Autoconfirmed, on the other hand, is applied automatically when an account has reached a specific number of edits & has existed for a specific number of days. If you want a file uploaded to the Archives and do not have the permissions to do so, you can make an upload request on an active Archives staff member's talk page. Keep in mind, that we will require access to the image(s) (and approval from the person who originally digitized the image(s)) to upload them for you. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 07:08, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
500 edits/day milestone! :D
Hey! I'm currently writing my 501th edit on the wiki today.
I've earned the template, right? :3
My first edit was made on February 14 2016 17:58.
My last edit was made on February 15 2016 06:43.
Between these two edits, there was an elapsed time of 12:45.
:) MannedTooth (Talk) 06:49, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, no, you have not earned it. The edits must take place between 00:00 and 23:59 (UTC) in the same calendar day, which is noted right on the template page. As your edits take place between two calendar days, they are not eligible for the user tag. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 07:08, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- Are you serious? What's the difference? It was under 24 hours, which is a day. I don't understand why such detail should be important. I'll let you know that not everyone has the same time, my day is alway split in half with the wiki's time because of the timezone, having a full day on the wiki would mean to do all my edits starting at 2am, which, not everyone can. With all due respect, this is plainly injust. We shouldn't be judged on our timezone, that's close to discrimination. MannedTooth (Talk) 07:31, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- UTC is our server time, and all of our time-based institutions are measured on server time. Allowing users to base time-based institutions on their own time zones has caused far too many problems and arguments in the past, so we simply do not allow such anymore. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 07:48, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- I understand that, but tell me, what would have been different if I started editing 2 hours later? The outcome would have been the same, I would have contributed and been rewarded, so it would have been a win-win for everyone, but for now, I feel robbed of harsh hours of work throughout a whole day... You don't need the website to see wheter I did enough edits or not, do you? Just go on my contributions page, click show 500 and you'll see that it has been done in less than 24hours, it's not like it was a tight 23h and some minutes, I did it in under 13hours, that's worth being noticed, nah? Devoted contributors are rare, so you shouldn't be too picky if you want to keep them... :/ MannedTooth (Talk) 08:01, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- There'd have been no difference, cause you still wouldn't have made it to 500 within a single calendar day if you had started editing two hours earlier. If your most important reason for editing this wiki is to get a fancy user tag, you may need to reconsider your reasons for being here. I'm going to quote something from a former staff member that really rings true:
- "This is not a race or a competition, if you reach 500 edits a day that's good for you but it doesn't really mean anything, as quality is what's really needed here rather than some mere numbers. Editing a wiki is a thankless job, but we do it for the good of the community."
- Please try to keep that in mind. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:13, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- I said later... Anyway, you are right, I never intended to do it for the achievement, I just happened to edit and realized I was at 350 ao I figured I would finish the job I was doing and get it at the same time, anyway... I'm just really dissapointed, that's all... MannedTooth (Talk) 08:26, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- Here, I achieved to take what I've done starting from 0:00 and edit until I've reached about 530 edits today. MannedTooth (Talk) 21:11, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- I apologize, the use of "earlier" was a typo from being distracted. Anyway, I can confirm that you have qualified to use the user tag. Congrats. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 02:07, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Help me identify these
Can you ?
[1]
I think the Pikachu comes from XY-P_Black_Star_Promos_(KTCG), but I am uncertain.
Is the mewtwo exclusive to the Korean sets? Thanks ! MannedTooth (Talk) 01:03, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- First off, We do not use content from PokéBeach for our articles under any circumstances. Secondly, that file cannot be accessed without having an account on their site, which I do not have, nor will I ever. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 02:07, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- I only wanted to identify the card, not to upload it. :o MannedTooth (Talk) 02:15, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- We don't use content from there for any reasons, even identification. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 02:32, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Changing Username
Excuse me Kogoro. Can you change my user name to CoolPokeGuy?--JasonL (Talk) 03:00, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- Done. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:27, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Great headline and images
First of all, your message on the main page is so powerful, you really achieve to awaken the team spirit in me! :P
Second, can I take the pictures on here [2] and upload them on here? Knowing that the images already there come from there as well, I'm not too familiar with the copyrights and such, so I preferred asking first! :P MannedTooth (Talk) 06:32, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
- Glad you enjoyed it. I hope it inspires others as well.
- As for the site you've liked to, it appears to be a collector's personal page. In order to use the images from their website, you would need to obtain permission from the website owner to use their images on Bulbapedia and provide the permission to me to confirm its authenticity. Without the site owner's permission, they may not be used. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 06:11, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- The problem is that, it's in japanese, and all I can really do is use google translate so.. But for the other pictures already used? They come from the same source. MannedTooth (Talk) 06:31, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- You can always ask the individual who added those images as to whether they are the original owner of the images, or if they got permission from the original owner. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 06:39, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Your Template (2)
My apologies for the late reply- |I mean these. It won't be the same gif of course, I'd like to get or make a Pokemon gif for that.
Also about the pink boarder around, is it possible to make one with an image (e.g. --> )? Just a question.-- -- Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 23:38, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
- Sure, you're more than welcome to use the templates. I'll give you a list of the templates for easy use:
- User:Kogoro/Template/TOC - The box that contains the Espeon gif and table of contents on this talk page. Yes, other images can be used in it. (You can see how it's used by viewing the source code of this talk page.)
- User:Kogoro/Template/TrainerCard - As the name suggests, is the Trainer Card. It will work for Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova titles. It has not been updated for Kalos yet. (You can see how to use it by checking the source code of my parties page.)
- User:Kogoro/Template/Partybox - The box that surrounds the parties. Instructions are on the template itself.
- User:Kogoro/Template/Pokébox2 - The individual small Pokémon boxes. Instructions are linked to on the template itself.
- The infobox that is present on my user page isn't a template, but you're welcome to use the code by copying it off the source code of my user page. Please be sure to credit back to me, with a link to my user page, either in the edit summary or on your user page, and follow the userspace policy. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 06:11, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you!-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 21:13, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- Kogoro, how do you use the TOC template on Archives?-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 23:53, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- The TOC template I have on the Archives isn't set up for use by anyone other than me, I'm afraid. Sorry. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 06:58, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
3 questions
Hello I have gathered three questions which I would be most thankfull if you could answer.
- Would it be possible to make it so that when editing and pressing 'Show preview' the Interwiki-links present can be displayed in the preview? Because this has annoyed me some times when edit a page and want to check if it links correcly before pressing save. And i know this can be done because that feature is present at Super Mario Wiki and Poképédia to name two.
- Is this list done or does it need all the names because all Pokémon have not been released as TCG cards? I only listed names from the official TCG.
- Since Pokéteca has more or less been removed from the Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis partnership should they not be removed from the main page? Also should we not mention something about it on the Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis page and delete these two templates?
--Raltseye 17:39, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Depending on how they do it, it may be possible for us to do so as well. I'll have to look into it before giving a definitive answer as to whether we can or feel it's necessary, however.
- It seems alright to me. However, since it is a TCG-based listing, I'll have a chat with Maverick Nate about it before we opt to mainspace it.
- We'll try to handle the Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis in the next few days, since developments like these are best handled by staff. I'll update the main page shortly, and deal with the templates later.
- I hope that covers everything. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 07:59, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
- Okay thank you for taking your time to answer my questions. --Raltseye 17:01, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
Question
Erm, is Pokemon Gamer banned for life?-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 00:11, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
- We don't discuss the details of blocks or bans with other users, beyond what can be seen on the block log, or the user's talk page. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 05:33, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Monthly edit
i have a little question, why do I only have ~600 edits on the leaderboards? If you take only my main edits, I have more than 1000 here : [3]
MannedTooth (Talk) 15:14, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Creating redirects, minor edits, and reverted edits aren't counted (along with edits already mentioned in the TCM page). And honestly, who cares? You've made over 600 edits and got top spot in the TCM ladder, good for you? The number of edits you make don't, and never will, matter. It's the quality of those edits. So if your only concern is to make as many edits as you can to get top spot on a monthly ladder, then you need to look at your priorities.--ForceFire 15:46, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- I just wanted to know :p MannedTooth (Talk) 16:02, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
- Actually, minor edits & reverts do count toward the TC & TCM counts. The only mainspace edits that are not counted are redirect-related edits (creation, modification, etc.). - Kogoro - Talk to me - 00:45, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oh, okay, thank you very much for your clarification. Gotta work harder! :3 MannedTooth (Talk) 02:14, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- We have leaderboards? RetroKitty 19:54, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
pt links not all removed?
Hello I have since BulbaBot was supposed to remove all the Portuguese and Spanish interwiki-links found and removed two portuguese links. I just wanted to say this in case BulbaBot has missed any and it is needed to remove any possible remaining links. --Raltseye 14:59, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
- BulbaBot's not perfect, the staff is well aware that it sometimes misses things. If you happen to notice a Spanish or Portuguese interwiki link that it missed, by all means remove them. That's what we do when we spot them. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 04:50, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
- Just wanted to point that out --Raltseye 20:02, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hello, just wanted to say that the pt and es interwiki-links are still present on the recent changes page. I would remove them myself, but since it's a special page I thought I'd ask you to do that instead. --Raltseye 19:46, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- They have now been removed. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 06:58, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
Misslink and/or non existing account
Hello just wanted to tell you that Bulbapedia:Webmasters lists Araragi-hakase as a Webmaster however this account does not even exist (!) how come ? --Raltseye 18:00, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
- Araragi-hakase, former Head Administrator of the Bulbagarden Forums, is a Vice-Webmaster. While she does not have a Bulbawiki account, she is still listed on our Webmasters list. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 04:50, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
- Oh okay thank you for straightening that out for me. --Raltseye 20:02, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
Idea about fandom
Hi, my name is Danny Williams, shortly Danny199, and I got up with an idea, and wanted to ask if it has a possibility of working. Also, I don't know if I contacted the right person, so forgive me if I misplace this.
I recently became more active on the fandom front, mostly fanfiction and nuzlockes, and what catched my eye is how less atention some of these get, while they are pretty good. Even the wikia's made for Nuzlocke's and Fanfiction writing, aren't that populair, people come there to advertise, but no-one comes there to look for a story, mainly because it isn't known. Now here comes the thing: Bulbagarden, or Bulbapedia, is extremely well-known, every Pokémon fan has at least once checked this site. The thing I thought of is: Isn't it an idea to make a variant on Bulbapedia on the Bulbagarden network, and this one specificant for all fandom things, including nuzlockes, fanfictions, Pokémon Youtube channels, cause there are a lot unknown, everything. Bring it all together in one big site for all fans to find something. You could even go as far as putting links in Bulbapedia, like: Putting on, for example, Charormander's page a link with 'Charmander's appearences in Fanfictions' or, to be more general, 'Charmander's appearences in the Fandom'. It seemed to be like a real good idea, I hope it can work out. I would love to put some work in it, and make it active as fast as possible, but I can't start without permission from the founder.
As I said in the beginning, I don't know if I put this request in the right place, but again, you'll need to forgive me for it.
Greetings, Danny199 - unsigned comment from Danny199 (talk • contribs)
- Bulbagarden already has a place where fan-created content can be posted, it's called the Bulbagarden Forums. As for your idea of putting links such as "_____'s appearances in fan fiction" or "_____'s appearances in the fandom", it's not going to happen. It's been suggested several times in the past, and there's simply not enough notable cases of such to be something that's reasonable. Keep in mind that the vast majority of fandom-created content just doesn't meet our notability guidelines, and we note the very few notable cases where it's appropriate to do so.
- Additionally, please understand that Bulbapedia isn't an advertisement source, nor should it be. We're not here to advertise people's self-created Pokémon stories, Nuzlocke runs, or anything like that. We're here to be a resource for significant Pokémon information. If people want their fan-creations to get noticed, it's up to them to figure out how to promote their stuff appropriately. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 04:50, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
- Then why is shipping allowed on this site with impunity if it is just a fan concept like fanfictions and Lockes? If that is the case, shouldn't shipping be relegated to the forums? And marriage/crushes don't make it anymore than a form of fan fiction. One is a legal, social and/or religious commitment, while the other is not canon until it is announced by both parties and a commitment to adhere to such is made by the characters and the writers. Also, people see too many little insignificant things as signs that people are attracted to each other. I think it is both pedantic and hypocritical for a fact-based, anti-fanproject wiki to tolerate, since most shipping pages are filled with rampant and gross un-Bulbapedia-like speculation, questionable implications, and are poorly policed and maintained by reputable users. I personally believe Shipping deserves 1 page covering what shipping is in a neutral tone with no speech for or against the subject matter in question and no quantitative or qualitative lists of "common/notable" ships, if any, and a subsequent ban on speculation about shipping of any sort, no matter how "canon" it may be reasoned to be(because they are relative to the eye of the observer, because shipping is a matter best left to fanforums and lesser sites. And no, I am not "offended" by shipping, I just don't find it appropriate for Bulbapedia. I strongly recommend a takedown of all things shipping, and a ban on references and coverage of such except on the Shipping page, as to make a statement about speculation. Or allowing all fandom things to be accounted for, to show acceptance of the fandom and its ways. Which stance you want to take is up to you, but I think it is a win-win. --BlisseyandtheAquaJets (talk) 05:46, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
- Than what are the guidelines for fandom? There is alot of fanfiction, nuzlocke and fandom creations like that, if someone takes some time and looks through them all, I think you'll find enough that follow the guidlines. Also, it isn't really advertising, it is informing the visitor about the best fanfiction and the best nuzlocke runs, both for example, on the internet, so they can have a look themselves. It isn't ment to advertise, although it might have been a major point in the text I wrote earlier but that was a small mis-writing, but to have the visitors being informed, the same as Bulbapedia does with all the official information, can this wikia do with all the fandom information Danny199 (talk) 08:44, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
- @BlisseyandtheAquaJets: Shipping isn't going anywhere. While we do intend to do some significant work to the section, we're not going to remotely take your suggestion. Please try to not interject yourself into discussions that have nothing to do with you in the future. Thank you.
- @Danny199: First off, "best" is always subjective when it comes to things like fan fiction, and subjective content like that does not belong on Bulbapedia. Secondly, the concept of the Nuzlocke Challenge is notable due to its major presence within the fandom, and that's why we already have an article about what Nuzlocke Challenges are. Individual people's challenges, however, are not notable and should not be listed. While it may be acceptable to have an article on the concept of fan fiction within the Pokémon fandom, we're not going to have articles or listings of individual fics. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:55, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
Pokémon World in relation to the real world
Hi Kogoro, I wad wondering if you could check whether the point about a Spearow nicknamed Kenya is suitable on that page.
ForceFire and I have been having a long discussion about it with neither of us "giving in". Please could you decide if it should remain.Ratchet and Clank 1995 (talk) 11:59, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- Seriously? You're still arguing over that Spearow's nickname? Just drop it already, Force Fire is very much correct. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:55, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
About the Template:DungeonPrevNext template
Hi, I was kinda wondering if you could make some adjustments to the DungeonPrevNext template? You know how there is "DungeonPrevNext|Dungeon Name|Dungeon Name|1|Dungeon Name" made so that the colours from Explorers of Sky dungeons could mix in with the older dungeons from Explorers of Time/Darkness, right? I'd like to see the ability to do something like "DungeonPrevNext|Dungeon Name|Dungeon Name|1|Dungeon Name|1" so that it can be coloured in completely, say for instance if anyone wanted to navigate to Rock Path from Lapis Cave page. Whenever I try to use the template like this:
"DungeonPrevNext|Great Canyon|Mt. Blaze|Rock Path|Rock Path|1dab=(Red and Blue Rescue Team)|2dab=(Red and Blue Rescue Team)|1"
It just simply appears completely broken, and when I try it as this:
"DungeonPrevNext|Great Canyon|Mt. Blaze|1|Rock Path|Rock Path|3dab=(Red and Blue Rescue Team)|4dab=(Red and Blue Rescue Team)"
It shows up as everything red, except for "Rock Path" sections, which are coloured as green (Explorers of Sky colour).
Can you please fix this issue? I can't make any changes to it's code, since Template:DungeonPrevNext is protected indefinitely for unknown reasons.
Thanks!—Platinum Lucario (talk) 14:47, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
- First of all,
{{DungeonPrevNext}} is protected because it's a high-use template that the general public shouldn't be making modifications to. Secondly, I really can't see any reason to modify the template to work in the way you seem to want it to. It's fine to just use two or more calls of the template as you already have on the Lapis Cave article. The staff is trying to reduce excessive use of parser functions, and such changes would only serve to increase them. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:55, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
About the vs artworks
Hey, but what about the Juan fake VS artwork on the same page? I uploaded those cropped VS artworks because they are the only masters who still being with a sprite of 10 years ago, while it can easily traded by their artworks with their sprites avaible on their pages. (talk) 01:12, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
- Juan is an extremely unique case, as he is the sole Hoenn Gym Leader to not get a fancy VS portrait due to not being in ORAS. The Hoenn Frontier Brains are all the same in not having portraits, and neither Lorelei or Agatha were in the Johto games, so we really don't need to use special images for the Gen III Brains or original Kanto Elites. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:55, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
Hello Kogoro, I don't know if you know about abuse filters, but can you explain to me why <br><br> is considered as bad formatting, and why we have an abuse filter of it (I see that other wikis don't have this kind of abuse filter, only Bulbawikis)? Also, I think <br><br> is not the only one that is non-wikitext formatting, there are others too (like <a>). Thanks, ★Poké95 01:59, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- Multi-use of
<br> tags is the most common non-wikitext formatting used on Bulbapedia, and is something we want to get away from doing. That is why there's an abuse filter for them, to note that such formatting happens to exist within the material being modified in any given edit. <br> tags, in general, should only be used when used in the clearing style on templates, as we have templates for mainspace use: {{-}} , {{clear-left}} , and {{clear-right}} . - Kogoro - Talk to me - 07:07, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
Hey there, I were just wondering if it would be considerable to add Pokémon names from this list and point out that these are unofficial by adding them in italics and with some side notes at the end of the article stating that? Also my friend Bouncepaw suggested that we could add the remaining from the Russian Wikipedia. What do you think? --Raltseye 16:06, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
- First up: Wikipedia is not a valid source for any information. We should not be using content directly from Wikipedia on Bulbapedia articles or lists. Make sure they have valid sources for the information, and source it back to the source that's being used by Wikipedia.
- As for using names from the Russian Pokémon Handbook, that would be fine for species that have yet to receive a 100% official name from the Russian TCG. Notation of the source material can be handled via use of
{{tt}} , and TCG release names should overtake the handbook names when they become available. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 07:07, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, I've edit it a bit, what do you think? Good enough for mainspace? --Raltseye 12:42, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'll bring it up with the rest of the Editorial Board at our next meeting. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 06:58, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
New move template
I saw that you were testing new templates for moves. I had this idea a while ago, but I thought I'd tell you about it. So, admitting that a move will always have the same effect/heart/type etc no matter the Pokemon who uses it, I thought we could make it so that in the template entry you only add the move name and that on the template side there would be this well-made conditionning system with pre-assigned variables. I don't know if I was clear enough, so if that interests you or if you need more info on this, hit me up! I love doing templates :3 MannedTooth (Talk) 06:58, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Such an idea wouldn't be feasible, it would require far too many parser functions. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 06:58, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
In other languages templates
Good evening, I am here to tell you that our other languages templates miss Macedonian and Valencian which Mine4017 requested here, and Lithuanian requested by me, we also need to add a link from Icelandic to Pokémon in Iceland on all those templates, Lithuanian should be linked to Pokémon in Lithuania. May I also suggest that we change French link to French instead of Pokémon in French which is just a duplicate of French, the same applied to Spanish and Portuguese. --Raltseye 19:43, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
- I'll have someone look into making these changes soon. Thanks, - Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:58, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
I'm tired of Bulbapedia
Can you please delete my account! I am not allowed here! Bulbapedia is too much for me! It is not a place to meet friends! This is very hard to do! I am useless and I can't do anything right! This is the worst wiki I ever seen! Terraria wiki is amazing! I wish I could stay, but Bulbapedia is full of unrespectful people! I hope you can improve it. I will come back until this wiki will be improve. Thanks --PokeKent (talk) 11:16, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

Deletiing my post
Hey,
So, I'm trying to delete my post on the Pokemon the movie discussion page. Basically it was just me being stupid and not fact checking my info. It doesn't really add to the conversation, but when I tried to delete it, it said that it couldn't, like it violated the rules. Basically if you could delete it or tell me how, that would be great.Mangos0FT0 (talk) 19:51, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

- As a temporary/quick fix, you can choose the Vector skin under your preferences. (For the time being, I don't know a specific cause either.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:20, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
- We've passed the issue on to be reviewed & fixed. The link color problems should be resolved as quickly as possible. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 23:36, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
- Passed it on? I thought you were the site's owner, Kogoro. Unowninator (talk) 23:09, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- The bad CSS is being served from a third-party domain (*.azurewebsites.net). If you'd rather not use Vector or block that domain, you can add the following snippet to your Special:MyPage/monobook.css — a personal copy of MediaWiki's default link colors. (Or any color you like, really.) That should override the third-party CSS, but let me know if it doesn't work, and I can adjust it.
/* MediaWiki default link colors */
a:link {
color: #002bb8;
}
a:visited {
color: #5a3696;
}
ライケン (talk) 02:27, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Unowninator: As noted by Rigel Kent, the problem CSS is being served by a third-party partner so it's something we had to alert them to so they can fix on their end. Additionally, I do not own the site, Archaic does, though I am highly involved with Bulbagarden as a whole and have an immense sense of pride in this site. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:45, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
- Just to note, the CSS fix provided above is no longer necessary. The link color issue has been resolved, though you may need to use a cache-bypassing refresh to make the fixed colors appear. If anyone needs their personal CSS page deleted, please let me know. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 11:43, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

Move entries
Hey, I want to ask you about something that has been bothering me for over a year now. The Gen 6 column on move articles. [4]
I've read one of the posts where it was said that dividing the Gen 6 column was not possible with the current template. I want to ask why is that? I looked up the source and while I don't fully understand it, it doesn't seem impossible to replicate the subcolumn feature. I understand that the problem here is not with laziness but I'm really curious why this hasn't been done yet.
Oneofthosedf (talk) 16:05, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
- It's not that it's impossible to do, it's that it's not reasonable to do. The current template features too many conditional statements for coloring, and is getting too wide for many displays due to the sub-column format. We have a replacement template in the works, and we'll be trying to have it out before the release of Sun & Moon. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 04:19, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- What do you mean by getting too wide and having conditional statements for coloring?
- Oneofthosedf (talk) 16:11, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- Depending on the resolution of your display, the existing template is starting to get dangerously close to overlapping the infobox on some articles, and it isn't exactly mobile friendly (and will only get worse with Sun and Moon). This means we need to rework the template to work effectively for varying display resolutions, including mobile resolutions.
- As for conditional statements, every row is set up with code that makes the template behave differently if a move is learned at Lv 15 in one game of a generation and Lv 17 in another. Unfortunately, the abundance of this code on move articles has resulted in some moves with very large numbers of available Pokémon to load slowly, and others to simply not load at all without splitting content to a sub-article.
- These are both very significant things we're needing to change, and we don't wish to expand the issues with Gen VI cells when we're trying to fix them with an updated set of templates. I hope this helps explain things. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 05:48, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- I perfectly understand now. Thank you.

Pt links again
Hello, sorry if I am being naggy about this, but I wanted to bring to your attention that the pt links have not been removed when they are hidden as seen on some Pokémon pages. I have removed some of them, but I thought it might be good for BulbaBot to remove all of them incase there would be any more that's hidden somewhere else. --Raltseye prata med mej 14:33, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- Given that they're commented out and not appearing on the articles, it's not really important to remove them. They can be removed if someone's editing the article(s) for other reasons, but there's no need to make edits solely to remove the commented out links. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:27, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

Hey, Kogoro. I see that you have taken a bit of interest in my edits to the list. (Which might be a good thing since the list has increase in size by ~63% since the start of the month, which is mostly my fault on that.) I was wondering if you would double-check to see if there was anything you felt should be added, removed, or altered. Additionally, would you be willing to check the glitches with more than three videos and determine if any or all of them should be removed? I ask since I might be bias on if a video shows enough unique information to justify being included. No matter what, I do hope that you have a good day. --Super goku (talk) 01:03, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
- I think you've misread a little into what happened. The initial rollback was merely due to a muscle spasm while I was moving my cursor on the Recent Changes, thus why it was immediately undone. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 01:09, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
- Misreading indeed. I saw it was the edits since July 16 and just assumed it was due to something I added and that there might have been a problem with something. Sorry for the trouble. --Super goku (talk) 01:13, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
Request for the Editorial Board to consider
Hi. If you could share this request with the rest of the Editorial Board for consideration, I would much appreciate it.
I was recently alarmed to notice that we still have a great deal of antiquated switches on species pages for Pokémon that change types upon form-changing. To my knowledge, one of the major reasons Bulbapedia implemented the new infoboxes almost three years ago was to avoid the need for switches by making all form information visible at all times, so these remaining switches were highly surprising to me. To my awareness, at this point they only change colors and toggle the visibility of type effectiveness tables, so I don't believe they're necessary.
At first I noticed them only on Castform, so I removed them, thinking they had simply been forgotten on that page when the infoboxes were implemented three years ago. Force Fire reverted it (without explaining that these switches are still in use for all Pokémon with form changes, I might add — I had to find this out myself by investigating). So since this is a change that concerns several pages, I'm coming to you and the rest of the Editorial Board to ask for an opinion.
I believe these forms should be treated in the same way we treat Mega Evolutions that change type, such as Charizard: with no switches, nothing hidden, and changed type colors only on material that pertains specifically to the changed form and not the standard/base form. This method is the most clear and consistent for the readers who don't look at the source code. Additionally, the type-color switches use a large amount of bytes to accomplish very little, if anything, to functionally enhance our articles.
As far as I can tell, their only remaining value is aesthetic, and this aesthetic value comes at the sacrifice of clearly and consistently conveying a Pokémon's type in the way we do for all other species articles.
I think the switches should have been removed three years ago when we did away with switches on the main infobox artwork, and I think they certainly should be removed now.
Thank you for your consideration. I cordially await your response. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:03, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
- We agree that such switches on species articles is a thing of the past, so we have made efforts to remove and/or replace them on the articles that were using them. Unofficial 2004 World Championships Standings
I've found an unofficial forum thread that has all standings for the 2004 world championship. And more importantly, it has all the full names of the contestants. My question is whether we should trust something that comes from an unofficial site, and a forum site at that. Starwarsmace (talk) 15:42, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
- We'd have to review the site and content, to see if it's reliable and a site where we'd even be able to use content from in the first place. However, it's extremely likely that we won't be able to use the content from a random forum. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:36, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

Addition to the Trainer Entry tables
So I had this idea where we can add so much more information with these tables formatted as so:
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:MannedTooth/Trainer_Entry_Test
We could even include the Pokémon's abilities and/or the quotes before & after the battle is done with the said Trainer. What do you think? MannedTooth (Talk) 03:47, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- While the idea is reasonably alright, the presentation leaves much to be desired. Remember that templates need to look clean, consistent, and be as easy to read as reasonably possible. If you can clean up your mock-up to an acceptable state, we'll consider it. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:16, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
- Sure thing! It was just a sketch! I didn't want to work so hard on a template if it doesn't have potential. I'll get back to you with it once it's done! Thanks again :) MannedTooth (Talk) 21:24, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
- Ok, so now it's done for the most part, the page is MESSY but this is only because I need to manually import the templates, the code won't be anywhere close to that, in weight I mean. Tell me if you would change something ! :) MannedTooth (Talk) 00:46, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
- We'll need to take some time to review the code and everything, as well as discuss what changes may be needed. I'll get back to you once we've come to an agreement. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 00:24, 5 September 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for even considering this idea possible. I would like to remind you that the code I made is purely intended to give it the appearance I want. It is in NO WAY a decent code; I pasted bare templates so I could modify them and I didn't use variables. If needed, I am more than able to make the changes to the actuals templates myself, since I know my way around and that I already did it once. Long story short: don't be too harsh on the code, it's awful, I only wanted the visual of it. Thanks! MannedTooth (Talk) 03:34, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
- So, it's been 18 days since we last talked about the template and I have seen you answer other subjects. (Not that it's a bad thing, not saying this in a wrong way) How is the process of discussing about the template? I'm still waiting for the confirmation in order to continue my playthrough of ORAS so that I can collect information on future trainers. Thanks ! :) MannedTooth (Talk) 17:59, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry about not getting back to you until now. I haven't had much time to deal with things lately, and I was out of the country for a while. I've discussed your mock-up with Zesty Cactus, and we feel that there's a lot of wasted space due to the set-up being so tall & the quotes are rather needless content. I have some ideas that could make the idea better, if you don't mind me making changes to your mock-ups. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 09:49, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- It's okay don't worry! :) you can make changes all you want. As for the quotes being unneeded, I never understood that, we, as an encylopedia are supposed to gather the more information possible right? Well, this is some. And believe it or not, some quotes are actually useful to the lore or other characters. Like a npc said upon battling me that [insert gym leader name here] taught her. (I don't remember by heart, I'm not on my pc right now) so yeah. That's information, so why not add it? I never understood that. Anyway. Let me know what changes you'd make. Pokemon Go Page - Question!
Hi Kogoro! I have a question about the pokemon go bulbapedia handbook and was wondering if you could help! In particular it's a question for whoever created the page linked below, but also just for anyone who knows the answer:
http://handbooks.bulbagarden.net/pokemongo/pokemon-index
The maximum CP of each pokemon is listed on the page. It lists Dragonite's maximum CP as 3525, which can only happen if it hits level 40.5 (with perfect IVs). I have been looking for days now for a reliable source that shows whether the maximum pokemon level is 40 or 40.5 and haven't found anything. Is there any way you could ask whoever created the page what their source was for having the maximum level be 40.5? Thank you so much!!!

A couple of things (mostly Bulbanews)
Hello, I'd wish to talk about Bulbanews. Firstly, the new logo introduced a year ago has not yet been changed in the tabs and window color in my browser (I'm using Vivaldi) image for reference. Also, SnorlaxMonster created a draft for a front page in that coloration, why has this not yet been implemented? The Bulba color template is still light green so a lot of things on Bulbanews in sill in that coloration. Also on a slight sidenote, the link from Bulbapedia and the Archives to Bulbanews when having set a different language translates it to current events (Aktuella händelser for me since my settings are in Swedish) for some reason, this is especialy strange since in English it just says Bulbanews, I don't think this is meant to be so if you could change that it would be nice.
Secondly, recently when unwatching a page the site asks me if I'm sure if I want to unwatch this page and I have to press yes before unwatching, this is annoying if I for some reason have to unwatch several pages at once which I sometimes do. This did not happen before some time ago so I'm wondering why and if it could be fixed. --Raltseye prata med mej 08:31, 5 September 2016 (UTC)
- I've contacted SnorlaxMonster regarding the Front Page colours, and he'll be trying to get it converted to red ASAP. The favicon will also be changed ASAP.
- That change would have come with a recent MediaWiki upgrade, likely to help prevent accidental removals. This isn't something that's broken, it's an intended feature of the MediaWiki software. If you want to remove multiple pages from your watchlist, I'd suggest using the watchlist editor rather than removing them one article at a time. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 05:49, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- Ah good. Thank you for explaing that to me. --Raltseye prata med mej 19:26, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
The Message from the Editor and the inevitable site lockdown
I'm just wondering two things:
- When is the Message from the Editor on the main page going to change, since it has been 172-3 days since the message was last updated, back in March.
- When the site goes into lockdown because of the release of Pokémon Sun and Moon (It's happened at every release of a core series game for more than 5 years), is it possible to exclude individual pages from the lockdown, so that Pokémon Shuffle can continue to have its pages updated each week as it receives its weekly update, or will it simply have to wait until the lockdown ends or someone with the necessary user rights has time to edit the pages and add that week's new Pokémon and Special Stages?
PartHunter (talk) 14:04, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- The Message from the Editor is updated when there's an actual reason to update it, we don't post messages there just for the fun of it. There hasn't been a significant reason to make a new MftE since the last one, so there hasn't been one since then.
- It hasn't yet been decided if we'll need to lock the wiki down for Sun & Moon release, though it is likely we will need to do so. We cannot pick & choose what pages are affected by the lockdown, it's all or nothing. There may be some trusted users allowed to continue editing through the lockdown, as we have done in the past, but that decision will be made much closer to the release of Sun & Moon. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 05:49, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
Forced preview
I've been on a forced preview for severs years now, and I've occasionally felt it to be a hindrance. It was originally placed on me in order to, well, force preview before saving any edits. I thought I'd ask if it was possible to undo this. I remember asking about this a couple years or so back, but it was denied back then. Now I happen to be in a mood and spot where I feel like I could make the request again. So I kindly ask: Would it be possible and/or acceptable for one of you higher-ups of Bulbapedia to remove my forced preview? Waiting for your answer, FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:13, 9 October 2016 (UTC).
- You are no longer forced to preview. However, there is one condition to this: We don't want to see a return to old habits of making frequent multi-edits. If you get back into the habit of frequently making multiple edits to articles to fix typos & such, you will be back to having forced preview indefinitely. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 09:49, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for that. I kinda hate that threat hanging over me when I make edits in the future (especially as I sometimes tend to rush things and make mistakes as a result, most commonly with my smartphone, my most common method of accessing Bulbapedia, as it isn't always the most easiest thing in the world to edit this site with), but thanks anyways. I'll try to be more careful from now on. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:10, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
Unable to edit sections on my phone
Hello I just want to say that this edit happend because when I edited that section the rest of the page was deleted. Why is that, can this be fixed somehow? Also I'm using a samsung, with a chrome browser, and I,m not using the mobile mode. --Raltseye prata med mej 15:02, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- This problem has happened to others before, on an extremely rare & intermittent basis, on mobile and non-mobile devices. Due to the intermittent nature, it's unlikely an issue that can actually be fixed site-side. If it continues to happen to you, all I can suggest is not editing from that mobile device. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 09:49, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

Copyright misunderstanding
So, sorry to bother you, but I got myself in the most unpleasant situation.
Recently I added some Origin to the Garchomp page, Bulette, a D&D original creature.
The user Pumpking0192 started a edit war claiming that "you" (I guess he thinks he's a staff member?) don't accept modern/copyrighted basis on the Origin section. All Right.
The "modern" sounded like a biased personal criteria to me since maaany Pokémon have modern inspirations, regardless, Dragon and Dungeons is almost half a century old and is really relevant to the RPG culture and could easily influence Pokémon, so I find hard to just ignore it. But the copyright could indeed be a problem; so, after some quick research I found the official list of their copyrighted creatures and Bulette wasn't one of them. So I added the Origin back and explained that it seemed like Bulette was not copyrighted.
Still, he removed it one more time with the same argument. I reverted it one more time and asked him to create a topic on the Talk Page if he wanted to debate about it properly and further, or to leave the Origin's viability analysis to some staff member. Then, the Administrator glik intervened and removed the changes, he went to my talk page and told me to find proof of Bulette's situation and to contact an Editorial member about it. So here I am. I guess he didn't believe me about it or misunderstood me, dunno.
I wasn't sure who I had to contact, but a friend of mine that works on the staff told me you would be the most adequate.
Anyway, here's the list they wanted, third question:
tl; dr. Pompous random user removing things around, staff tells me to prove landshark ain't copyrighted to someone above him, here I am, end.
What happens now? Can I re-add it since it's all good? I mean, it was all good from the very beginning, but whatever. Thanks~
ExLight (talk) 21:42, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
- Just popping in to say please assume good faith, I certainly don't think I'm a staff member, and when I used "we" I was referring to Bulbapedia as a community, i.e. all of us, not just those with authority (of whom I certainly am not). Again, please assume good faith. Thanks. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:18, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- @ExLight: I'm not seeing a significant case to include Bulette as inspiration behind Garchomp, or its evolutionary relatives. As it's been noted, we generally avoid things that originate from copyrighted media (regardless to whether the character itself is copyrighted or not), as it's a very tricky thing to conclusively prove if they were or weren't the origin. If an official source actually notes that it was inspiration for any of the Pokémon, then we would include it. Additionally, please take some time to read the code of conduct. Calling someone "pompous" really isn't necessary, or appropriate.
- @Pumpkinking0192: As much as others should assume good faith, you might want to try being a little clearer in your edit summaries and other messages you post. Rather than using "we" use "Bulbapedia". Vague wording can easily be misread, so it's always good to take extra effort to make messages clear. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 07:21, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
- I see. Even though I disagree, I can see why that's how it is. It's not really important too, so I guess it doesn't really matter nor is worth such stress.
- Feels kinda 'tabooish'. Are there any more subjects that we should avoid?
- Well, thanks. ExLight (talk) 01:13, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
- EDIT: I know you are probably busy, but I need to have a real talk with someone from the staff about the Origins sections. Sorry if you're not the one I'm looking for.
- After thinking a lot over this matter, I decided I had to discuss about a few things that I noticed that are related to this section, mainly the process of selection of what goes in there and the "taboofication" of a few topics.
- Firstly, I would like to point out that unlike most of the sections, Origins are impossible to be perfectly accurate since it requires the original creators to know the real inspirations, so it will always have speculations. Actually, most of the origins we have on the Bulbapedia are pure speculation. Avoiding this fact, as well as not mentioning possible origin, is silly and ends up damaging the real purpose of the Origin section.
- This actually raises an issue since the selection of what goes in there is kind of unstable due to the subjectivity of the origins and, sometimes, biased. This results in a chaotic, non-homogenous section that often has some impossible/incomplete information. A few exemples that have/had been around for some time are: Vaporeon's design being compared to something that didn't even exist by the time it was designed, Floette's name being associated with the non-word "florette", Gabite being listed as a Land Shark from D&D for months despite all the ruckus related to Garchomp, many other pokémon compared to a few copyrighted media, some unlikely species in a few Pokémon's origins (especially in birds), etc.
- As far as I can see, the Bulbapedia system seems to work fine most of the cases because they are mostly objective, but due to the Origin's section being so subjective and abstract the fact that just a few select what goes in and out is really repressive and can be flawed. So I feel like there should be a reform on this system, specifically for this part, since this actually tends to get stronger when reinforced by a large variety of points of view.
- A project that would allow more freedom on this would be the creation of topics for discussion of each relevant theory and speculation, opening space for presenting the pros and cons of each claim, and then some process of popular approval. This way, these topics could be linked into the Origin's section similar to George Hutcheon's "On the Origin of Species" articles while still making clear that they're not official explanations and that its contents are not considered official in any way to the Bulbapedia or TPC. This would help to filter some absurd info and allow the Origin section be get more democratic or organized, maybe even separating it further on segments such as Concept, Design, Real World and Folkloric inspirations. A model like this would allow to include "taboofied" themes such as possible copyrighted media, polemic religious inspirations, and popular theories.
- I know you might be thinking Talk Pages are enough, but unfortunately they don't seem to be the best place to discuss about origins since they often get lost amidst many other topics and/or ignored by indifference. Providing a particular space for those interested in origins would be refreshing and could fix some actual issues.
- Since Bulbapedia is the role model for most of the Pokémon sites I believe it should try to be as organized and complete as it can. Pursuing this matter somehow would be an interesting way to improve the site's quality and organization.
- I do understand that the Bulbapedia is huge, and it's hard for the staff, or the members, to take care of everything 24/7, but I do feel a little uncomfortable seeing some lost great potential and a few absurd things around one of the most important sections. So, please, at least consider my proposal; it's not as complicated as it might sound.
- Have a nice day.

i need help in editing
sorry kogoro but i had to use this comment to get your connection because i'm not very good at editing. how do you get a bullet point inside a paragraph so that it contains a sentence but does not begin another. if you want to know i used (or tried) to do it at the page Bill of bulbapedia thank you eeveelutionred 6:11pm AEST 7/01/2017 Eeveelutionred (talk) 07:11, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
- To indent a bullet point, add an additional asterisk (
* ) at the beginning of the point. Each additional asterisk will add another layer of indentation:
- I hope that helps. Additionally, please remember to put new sections at the bottom of talk pages, rather than injecting them somewhere in the middle. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 07:21, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
Username change request?
I was informed that the thing to do to change a username is to ask a member of the Editorial Board, so, here is that inquiry. I stopped using the name Xolroc several months ago for personal reasons, and now go by the name Felthry; if I could have my username changed to that, it would be much appreciated. Is there any sort of application form or anything to get the username changed, or is just posting here enough? Xolroc (talk) 19:09, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- I noticed you changed it. Thanks a ton! --Felthry (F.K.A. Xolroc) (talk) 04:16, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
Mobile display error
Hello, just wanted to tell you about a problem happening when viewing Bulbapedia on my phone, and that is when a table is wider then my screen it just cuts off the far right part instead of letting me scroll further right like it used to. Here's an image for visual reference [5]. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7, using chrome. --Raltseye prata med mej 08:26, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
A few questions
Hey, long time no see. I would like to ask just a few questions.
1. Is there any reason for this wiki not to use the WikiEditor extension? It provides a rather friendlier and more advanced editing interface, not to the mention the ever-so-welcome 'find and replace' function.
2. Would it be possible to combine my user talk archives? And to move the current four messages from my main user talk to the combined archives? The first archive has only one message while I am sure that I will not be receiving new messages (on my main talk) due to my bouts of inactivity. In a way, I am asking this more for the aesthetic part but also for keeping things in one place. I have read the talk page policy, but either it does not specify it, or it does but it's unclear or I find it unclear. --DJWolfy-- 13:34, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
- There's no specific reason that I am aware of, other than our tech crew disabled it. The Editorial Board will consider whether that interface is worthwhile.
- It is not something that would be permitted via the talk page policy. We want talk page archives to retain the original edit history that it had when it was an active talk page. If you were to merge your talk archives together, you would be breaking the edit histories. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 02:50, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
Tabs
Is it possible to do tabs for infoboxes (such as on some Wikia pages, like [6]) without MediaWiki extensions? I had an idea that I'd test out in my userspace. --Celadonkey 20:38, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
- As far as I am aware, tabs like that require specific Javascript coding installed in the wiki's common.js page. Since the staff considered, and decided against, using such tabs several years back, we do not have the needed Javascript on site. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 02:50, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, cool. I don't think I need them anymore anyway. Thanks. --Celadonkey 11:59, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
Suggestion for a new link template
Hi there! Sorry for skipping all the way to the top of the chain of command, but I'm not sure whose purview link templates fall under.
I wanted to ask whether it would be a good idea for us to have a link template called {{Mega Evolve}} that produces the text [[Mega Evolution|Mega Evolve]] so it's easier to link it in that way when the verb form is desired (such as the sentence I just added to the Z-Crystal article). Is this a good idea for a link template? Thanks. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 23:47, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- We're looking into whether this idea would be ultimately useful. I'll let you know when we have a decision. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 02:50, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
Top contributors
Hi I'm sorry to bother you about something so trivial but I'm confused about the page Bulbapedia:Top contributors. I keep track of how many edits I do and I know that I had about 15,000 edits by the start of April. I thought that I would be on the list this time but do not see my username there, despite being higher than the 20th spot. Is there something I'm missing with this process?--Rahl (talk) 00:56, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- The top contributors & top contributors of the month pages only count mainspace edits that are made to actual articles. Editing & creating redirects do not count toward the TC & TCM numbers, nor do edits to any pages that aren't in the mainspace. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 02:50, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

Bulbabot
I've noticed that recently Bulbabot has started to move the Italian interwiki links above the rest with a space between. Is this supposed to happen? Cause I have moved it back every time I have seen it happen. --Raltseye prata med mej 16:40, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- If BulbaBot is unable to connect to the partner wiki's API for any reason, it treats the interwiki link as if it's part of the article content. We'll be fixing up any interwiki issues as quickly as we can. Thanks for the message. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 01:57, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
Changing my Username
Hi, is it possible I could get my username changed to Spiderfog? I'm not happy with this username and I'm trying to get my username to be the same on everything I use. Thanks in advance! Nintendocan (talk) 23:38, 25 May 2017 (UTC)

Can I change my name to Igor Rowan please? I was young when I made the account and I put my real name in here by mistake.--Igor (talk) 21:46, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
Underleveled page
Hi Kogoro,
Can you please clarify why you deleted the Underleveled Pokemon page? The user page User:Nikuriku/Underleveled Pokemon cannot be used collaboratively, and the content is currently not compiled anywhere else. Could the page please be reinstated, and the redirect to the user page removed instead? Alternatively, could you please provide me with the source code I made, so I can continue to bring it up to standard?

Template:MoveInfobox
Dear Madam EiC, hi Kogoro,
could you please approve this template? Further infos/arguments are at its talk page, and in the edit history if you'd like. Please let me know if you feel anything needs changing, in particular relating to its inclusion of (cropped) Z-Crystal images.
I'm prepared to semi-automatically run through all move pages to incorporate the new params (plus some other stuff). Note that, if you already moved/merged it now, the pages shouldn't break (neither visually nor semantically).
Also, are accuracy and/or damage category to be moved? If so, I suggest doing it in one swoop!? In addition to the move infobox, it "only" seems to be all learnlist headers, some minor unprotected templates I could do, and a few links spread across the wiki (many of which seem to be at move pages, so I could easily catch those, too).
Thanks. Nescientist (talk) 22:00, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
Can you delete it please, since Pikachu65 is permanently blocked? Marshtompert (talk) 20:54, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Another user page to be deleted

Can you delete the above userpage? Apart from the
template, it is just gobbledygook. -- Marshtompert ( talk) 16:15, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
Marshtompert
I hope I'm not overstepping my boundaries, but I've been suspicious about Marshtompert ever since they started editing: they seemed to be far too familiar with Bulbapedia proceedings to be a truly new user, and seemed to be just abrasive enough about some of their edits that I wondered if they might be someone sockpuppeting to get around a ban. But I didn't have any real reason to suspect them, so I tried to ignore it.
Now they are habitually adding delete templates to the userpages of banned users, just like Spyspotter once did (and in at least one case, on the same page as one that Spyspotter targeted). I know it's not my place, but I feel obliged to alert the staff to this suspicion and ask whether y'all have checked whether Marshtompert may be another of Spyspotter's sockpuppets, which I know they made frequently in the past.
Thanks for your time. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:20, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not a sockpuppet. Just someone who's read Bulbapedia a lot. I don't even know who Spyspotter is.- unsigned comment from Marshtompert (talk • contribs)
- I don't mean to be rude, but I'd probably believe you if you didn't link to his userpage just now. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 21:38, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
Nope. Nothing to do with 'em Marshtompert (talk) 21:42, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, so why do you care so much that they aren't deleted? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 21:47, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
Sigh... - unsigned comment from Marshtompert (talk • contribs)
- ? What? Why don't you want to tell me? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 22:10, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- Unowninator, just cool it, please. If Marshtompert is a sockpuppet, Kogoro will let us know; if they're not, Kogoro will let us know. Provoking them/letting them provoke you in the meantime is just a waste of energy. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 22:13, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- I was asking out of curiosity, really. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 22:23, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- I would like to input my take on this, if I may. Marshtompert have been making questionable edits throughout the site, such as adding bad picture, incomplete templates, and delete template to several userpages (although they're aged blocked users). Or reverting details which he/she personally think is right. Although it's been discussed in the talk, he/she assumed the discussion is finished and carried it on to the main article. — Ruixiang95 22:59, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
