Region | Unova |
Debut | Curtain Up, Unova League! |
Vertress City (Japanese: ヒガキシティ Higaki City) is an anime-exclusive location in the Unova region found near Opelucid City. As the site of the Vertress Conference, it features facilities for competing Trainers similar to previous Pokémon League locations.
The city was first mentioned by Jervis in Beauties Battling for Pride and Prestige! to inform Ash on the location of Unova's League Conference. Ash and his friends arrived there in Curtain Up, Unova League!. While signing up for the League, Ash met up with his rivals Trip, Bianca, Stephan, and Virgil again. He also saw Cameron outside, who was camping out for the League. Realizing that he had not signed up yet, Ash dragged and brought him to Nurse Joy for the registration.
