M07 on Hungama
Hungama announced about the premiur of m07 on 22nd Jan 2017. Can you update the page with this? Also add the movie logo. Also please add the info of m06 and m07 in that table in movies section. --Yash Sen 18:32, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- Also add the name of the movie (and the previous one too) in Devnagari, Deoxy ओर तोरी की स्टोरी. Weird why they spelled Deoxy instead of Deoxys. Thanks. → PikaTepig999 16:31, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- So it debuted on 22nd Jan. Again Japanese version, and opening credits were aired but not the ending. Also Disney XD India completed Indigo League arc on 24th January 2017 by airing EP080 and started Orange Islands arc on 25th Jan 2017 with EP081. Can you update the page with this? Also I don't think its really necessary but it would be better if you put the sentence in Indigo League para like from December 19, 2016 to December 29, 2016, reruns from Princess vs. Princess to It's Mr. Mimey Time aired; Misty Meets her Match aired before Snow Way Out! on December 30, 2017, skipping the banned Holiday Hi-Jynx. so to not cause confusion among the readers. Thanks! --Yash Sen 10:00, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- Added. --Abcboy (talk) 07:29, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- The Hindi name of the 6th movie Jirachi का वंडर should also be added. Also, I wonder if saying "from this movie onwards" is correct, as the opening theme sequence was aired as it does not have a song and only has instrumental music. The other movies have opening songs, which were skipped. Thanks. → PikaTepig999 08:22, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

XY140 ending
Why is it considered an insert song? True, it starts during the episode, but the credits are shown when it is airing, so that makes it an ending song. The only problem why it is called a insert song would be because the usual ending sequence is not present and the episode continues, but in my opinion, this makes it similar to the ending song of the movies. Counterview? → PikaTepig999 06:57, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Where the ending themes are labeled エンディングテーマ ending theme, V is labeled as 挿入歌 insert song, including on the TV Tokyo website. I'm fine with including it in the infobox of XY140 as the ending, but it's not an ending theme. --Abcboy (talk) 07:29, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Then maybe when should use a note for it explaining all this in the infobox too... (Also with the English themes) → PikaTepig999 07:44, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
Yuji
Excuse me, but is there a reason why Yuji from Duel should be at Yuji (Duel) rather than just Yuji? (I believe it's the only English Yuji, and it has no makron!?) Nescientist (talk) 19:24, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
- Since there's several pages to disambiguate, putting all of the possible referrals in the lead would be unwieldly. In addition, his Japanese name is ユージ Yūji just like the other ones. --Abcboy (talk) 19:58, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
- I see. But couldn't we just refer to Yūji there? I'm trying to think user-centric, and I believe almost anyone searching "Yuji" would like to end up at the Duel character (which I believe is the same logic for why we direct people typing "Bulbasaur" to the species page). Nescientist (talk) 20:19, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

A very minor question
Hello Abcboy! Sorry to bug you for this is very unimportant question, but I noticed that you added the Korean name for Sinnoh Now in January last year. How did you find that the name was 신오지방 지금? And is this the name given from the DPPt games? I ask because the anime gives the name 지금은 신오지방. I know that other languages, like Spanish, have different names from the game and anime, but I didn't want to assume that 신오지방 지금 was the in-game name. --Wowy(토크) 07:14, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
- It's from the games. You can check the text dumps linked on my userpage if you need to double-check. --Abcboy (talk) 07:57, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
More info?
Hello! This came up on the Pokémon Korea website, and it's also getting released as an special album. From the website, there doesn't seem to be any confirmation of it being the anime opening song, but just wanted to ask if you had any more information about it. Also, there's a big question mark at the end of the video. Not sure if I've missed anything recently, but any idea what it is? --Wowy(토크) 08:41, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- The song doesn't match up with the Alola!! opening animation (and when songs like Victory and Pichumichu match up, it really should). Unless it gets a remix, I doubt it'll be used as an anime opening. No idea what the silhouette is.
- I think the song deserves a page regardless, so if you could create one, that'd be great. --Abcboy (talk) 17:23, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
Edit warring
Hey there. I have a favor to ask you. Can you please lock the Recurring wild Pokémon in the anime page for a week or two just so we can prevent edit warring? --Seabiscuit2020 (talk) 17:10, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
Re:Electric Terrain
Sorry for the late reply, but I made the edit because in SM019, Sophocles mentions Tapu Koko's Ability being Electric Surge, hence why I figure it must've been the Ability activating at the start of the battle instead of the Electric Terrain move being used. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:50, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
Italics or not?
Hello, I was wondering if we should have italics in the names section such as on Red (Adventures) or any other page or if we should do it like on Ruby (Adventures), which in my opinion looks better. --Raltseye prata med mej 17:40, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- On sections like Potion#In other languages, italics looks better to me than bold. I don't think the italic Pokémon nicknames are necessary; IMO, something like the following would suffice.
Yellow's Pokémon
Gravvy

Pokemon in DXDI
So Disney XD India continued airing episodes from EP106 from today 4th April 2017 after 1 month hiatus after EP102. Disney XD also aired the episodes in same order as Hungama aired, airing EP103 instead of Holiday-Hi Jynx, EP104 instead of EP090 and EP105 instead of EP099. They started airing Johto Journeys arc from today 18th April with EP117. Also in movie 7 stanza please add the Hindi name of the movie as Deoxy aur Tori ki Story. Can you make the following updates in the SA page? Thanks in advance! --Yash Sen 06:15, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
- Also, I don't know if this is notable but if it is, Disney XD held a Pokémon Movie marathon on 19 April, airing the 7 movies that have debuted on hungama, using the same version (with the same edits). Source: [1] Should this be added to the page ? → PikaTepig999 06:36, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
Soul-Heart Lyrics
You have the 11th lyric listed as "Let me be your guiding knight", citing the CITV captions. However, the non-English European dubs lean more to "guiding light". What should we go off of? Technickal (talk) 16:35, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

Two years between B2W2XY and Sun/Moon?
Hi there! I'm trying to track down citations for the core series timeline so they can be centralized in one place. I notice that in this edit, you wrote that Sun/Moon take place two years after B2W2 and XY. Could you point me toward where you got this from? I can't seem to find anything supporting it, but I'm probably just looking in the wrong place. Thanks! Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 20:12, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
- Grimsley's Sun/Moon concept art is titled "Grimsley (two years later)". Since his design was the same two years after BW (in B2W2), it can only refer to two years from his last appearance in B2W2. --Abcboy (talk) 23:18, 6 May 2017 (UTC)

Pokémon GO text dumps
I've seen you have the text dumps of most Pokémon games on your userpage, but Pokémon GO is not on the list. Do you know if there's any way to get the text dump for it? Japanese names
Is it a good idea to make redirect pages for all Japanese names in Katakana, like I did with シマコ or not? Because サトシ (Satoshi) is one (I redirected it to Satoshi though). Lokki (talk) 13:43, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
- It's not necessary for all Japanese names, if it's common/popular enough then sure, but I wouldn't bother with minor characters. --Abcboy (talk) 13:46, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

Confession
I want to make a sincere confession about my recent edits I made from a bit last year to early this year. I never should've reverted my edits when they were reverted, and I also want to apologize for any other trouble I caused on this wiki. I won't make any excuses. I'm just really sorry. I took a long break to try to get used to wikis like this, but now I feel maybe its best that I not edit on this wiki until I feel I am fully qualified for it. I sincerely hope I didn't cause any trouble, and if I did, I am very sorry for it. I didn't want to commit any blockable offenses, so maybe I should not bother editing here until I am fully ready to do so. In addition to my confession, I also have a video where I interviewed Veronica Taylor the original voice of Ash and asked her something about the banned seizure episode which I think could be important, but I'd rather not make any edits on that myself, instead, I'd like to have the admins ad the info for me if that's ok if I send a link to the video once I upload it. I hope you can forgive me. --User:TheGreenBeetle ((User talk:TheGreenBeetle|talk)) 18:42, 17 June 2017 (UTC)

Aim to Be a Pokémon Master single
Hi. May I ask if this article should exist, and if it does, is it good to go? Thanks. Ruixiang95 22:03, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
- I'd wait to see if they announce a CD single for the song in the next month or two. The problem with it is that it only has the one song, and has placeholder-y cover art like some of the other digital singles that were later released on CD. You can still put the single cover on the song's page like on Team Rocket's Team Song if you'd like. --Abcboy (talk) 05:47, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

Korean names
Hi Abcboy! I noticed that you added the Korean names for Pokémon Red, Green and Blue. Just curious, where did you get these names from? Were these names used officially from some other source? Because these games were not released in Korea, not even as a virtual console (possibly due to gambling?). On a side note, Pokémon Silver and Gold are being released as virtual consoles in Korea despite having working slot machines in the original Korean version. Do you think this is something that should be looked out for in the virtual console release?--Wowy(토크) 10:00, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- IIRC Red, Green, and Blue were mentioned in one of the PGL tournaments or on the GRB ratings. The slot machines should definitely be checked, though I wouldn't be surprised if the GRB rating when revealed makes it obvious. --Abcboy (talk) 15:11, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
Editor's Hub updating?
I have been using that section of the site a little to see if there are articles I can help update. However, I notice the three articles currently listed as Pages Needing Improvements have all been updated at some point to be improved enough to either meet site standards or no longer be considered stubs. I saw the page has not been updated since January of this year as well. Would it be possible to update the Editor's Hub main page in the near future? Also, would it be possible to update Needed Articles and Pages Needing Improvement sections to include 5 articles needed or updated rather than 3? Asking as it seems there is a lot of blank space left below them on either Chrome or Firefox when looking at that page on either browser. Thank you for taking time to read this and I await your response. :) Frozen Fennec 15:17, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

I've been noticing lately that the categories for the latest things are not properly showing up such as the two Pokemon Adventures mini-volumes pages I helped create or even on the archives the latest cover images not being shown as being linked to a Bulbapedia page or even a picture gallery in one of the Archives' category page. - Hey! I checked with Abcboy on this subject as I've also noticed some other bugs. Having inquired about those in the recently with higher staff, I learned that they may have started with the transition to the https setting on our Web pages. A victim of this that comes to my mind is e-mail alerts; I have not been receiving these for over a month now, and my watchlist, upon checking today, has multiple pages that I should have been notified for daily. So my suspicion is that the category problems may be yet another victim of the https transition. It will be one of the things we look into if we didn't know already. Thanks for bringing it to our attention! CycloneGU (talk) 00:43, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

Some random questions
Hi abcboy! I have a few random questions that have been bugging me for a while. These really aren't priority so feel free to answer them when you get the time!
1) Is there a way to search the text within a page with the search bar? For example, if I want to search how the {{m| }} template was used on different pages, I can't make that search using the search bar. It'll search for m instead.
2) Is there a reason why the Pokémon sprites have large white spaces around them? I presume this was because this was how they were extracted from the game data, and also makes all sprite boxes consistent with tall or wide Pokémon that can take up the whole box. However why can't we shrink the white space around them to make it more compact? (even the tall/wide sprites don't take up the whole space). It'll become a pain when a new generation comes in. I know there are templates floating around with the 'show'/'hide' option, but even these will benefit with smaller sprites.
3) If a page is wanted (they have red link), can an average user make the page without admin approval? (I'm talking about more obscure pages like 'Expedition Gadget' rather than a common 'new episode' page). If so, if I was to start the page on my userpage first (to polish it), will I need to get admin approval to mainspace it even though it was a wanted page?
Thanks!--Wowy(토크) 11:01, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
- 1) You can use "insource:" to search the wikitext. For example, Special:Search/insource:"Pokémon Infobox" or a regex like Special:Search/insource:/Image:/
- 2) They are the dimensions they are for the same reasons as you said: to be consistent with the internal sizes.
- 3) If the page you're creating is complete and clearly notable then feel free to create it in the mainspace. It'd be best if you notified an admin so the page can be moved w/o leaving a redirect. --Abcboy (talk) 12:29, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Couple of small edit requests
Hey there! First of all, I have to express my appreciation that you're updating protected USUM pages so speedily. Thank you!
I just noticed a couple of little things that slipped through the cracks. On Ultra Beast, you protected the page but didn't remove the protection request template. And on Necrozma, there's a typo in the paragraph about forms: it refers to "becoming its Dusk Mane Necrozma" and "becoming its Dawn Wings Necrozma", a relic of when the phrasing was "becoming its X form". Now that the forms don't have the word "form" after them, "its" shouldn't be necessary. Thanks in advance for addressing these! Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 23:20, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

And they're was no picture for it on Bulba. Can you please get someone else to find a new one?--CoolPokéGuy (Talk) 01:57, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- No official sprite has been released yet (which is why one hadn't been uploaded), and as you yourself stated, you took it from another site online. Regardless of whether it's Wikia or Serebii or some other site, it was still taken from another fansite, which is not permitted on the Archives. --Abcboy (talk) 02:19, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Updates to Template:Langlist(/h)
I'm not sure whether to ask here or the template talk itself. But anyway, is this update ready to utilize? For Chinese romanization, is it Hanyu Pinyin (Mandarin/Mainland China and Taiwan) or Yale (Cantonese/Hong Kong) first? And, is Brazilian Portuguese really needed, they are not available as languages in the games. This table is too long to be fully viewable in moblies, or are priorities given to desktop users?
Lastly, for the In other languages section for "List of ... form differences", is the sprites for the Pokémon necessary? (to make the table's width smaller) Thanks. — Ruixiang95 20:09, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- It should have Traditional / Simplified for the hanzi, and Pinyin (Taiwan) / Pinyin (Mainland China) / Yale (Hong Kong). Portuguese is for GO, like on the list of characters. The EB was discussing how to reformat/remove the pages in other languages, but haven't come to a conclusion yet. --Abcboy (talk) 20:14, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- Does this mean that the list of items/attacks/Abilities etc. should not be updated yet? — Ruixiang95 20:42, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- They can be updated. --Abcboy (talk) 21:38, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

Pokemon Adventures update
Shauna's Tri-P's english nickname has been confirmed as Furry, so a picture update is needed. However I also must report her Skitty was given a new nickname in XY Vol. 12 as Kitty instead of Neko though this is a more obvious translation (can be confirmed in Chapter 38). Have any ideas on how to address this? -Tyler53841 (talk) 04:11, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Movie dates on Disney XD India
Just like how the dates of both Hungama airing as well as Disney XD airing are added for their respective seasons in the SA page, shouldn't the dates for both the airings be added for movies also? If it should be added, then m01 and m02 were aired on 4 May 2016, m03 on 5 June 2016 and m10 is going to air on 22 October 2017 on Disney XD India. --Yash Sen 07:26, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
ORAS Adventures Vol. 6
The cover image for Viz's mini-volume release of Vol. 6 for Pokemon Adventures ORAS has been revealed. Justed wanted to give you the heads up for this to work towards updating the list of volumes for VIZ's ORAS releases. -Tyler53841 (talk) 16:57, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
Box Set update
A little update needed for the Manga boxed sets is that in a few weeks from now Viz will release a new box set containing the mini-volumes of the X & Y chapter. S06 on DXDI
First 16 episodes of S06 which includes all the last 12 Johto episodes along with first 4 episodes of Hoenn saga aired on Disney XD India on 31st December 2017. GrammarFreak01's pointless edits
I believed Tiddlywinks and ForceFire have already warned him/her about these kind of edits. I don't know if this warning still applies now. He started doing it again the same day the wiki is open to editing. Just FYI. Thanks. — Ruixiang95 10:44, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

Best Friend's translation
Hello. I've completed translating the song Best Friend. I put the translation on my user page. It's the rough/literal translation but because I'm not native speaker, there might be part(s) that sound(s) strange to native speakers. Can you have a look and tell me if it's okay to put on the article? Saphir (talk) 02:00, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- It looks good, but I have a few comments which I'd appreciate if you could check:
"makes us feel difficult" (what does this mean exactly, in particular the word "difficult" in this context, or what is feeling difficult?) Every moment passes (by) like nothing (It) only makes us sadder (We) suddenly remember there's a person who will listen, No matter (if it's/whether it's) sadness or happiness they'll immediately be there Everyone has friends But (I only have/has only) one best friend [is the subject "everyone" or "I] Always by my side whenever I need them Don't mind (whether/if) the distance is near or far Everyone has friends But (I only have/has only) one best friend Always carry(ing) the whole sky for me Accompany(ing) me for life
- Thanks! --Abcboy (talk) 04:51, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you, I'll fix ones you noted. About "difficult", well, it's hard to say about this word. In the original lyric, it literally means that life makes people feel tired, troublesome and the things like "life is so hard, so difficult" and "the world is all about hardship and nothing else". Well, that kind of feeling and I don't know how to convey this in English because I couldn't find any word with that kind of meaning there. Saphir (talk) 11:12, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
Thanks
Thank you for helping a while back with the new number disambiguation when you made the pages for the new numbers. Though I did help get the job done with new USUM Pokédex numbers, there is still the matter of updating the Pokémon pages. Once a coding has been set up, let me know of it and I can help deal with the long process of getting it done. -Tyler53841 (talk) 03:11, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- At the moment the staff is considering removing or moving the regional dex from the infobox. --Abcboy (talk) 21:07, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
- no surprise since the number of regions are growing and with that infobox it would make it too large, but I do think that moving the regional dex to it's own section might be a nice idea. -Tyler53841 (talk) 21:47, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Voice Actors
We have a few pages where three voice actors are listed but on the page, only 2 come up. For example with Saywer's Salamence, we have Carter Cathcart voicing Bagon, Justin Anselmi voicing Shelgon and Kiyotaka Furushima voicing Salamence. I've listed it like this, |vaen=Carter Cathcart, |vaennote=as Bagon, |vaen2=List of English voice actors|Justin Anselmi, |vaen2note=as Shelgon, |vaen3=Kiyotaka Furushima, |vaen3note=as Salamence. Hope you can help.--BigDocFan (talk) 22:56, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
- It's because the template didn't support three separate VA listings. I've changed the template to make that possible.--ForceFire 04:05, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi Abcboy, I noticed that you recently moved the page for Pokémon 4Ever: The Voice of the Forest Sticker Storybook to match its title, which reminded me of a similar situation over at The Four Star Challenge, where the article is missing a dash present in the book title. Would it be possible to get this article moved as well?--Cold (talk) 23:24, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
Viz update
While the cover images for Vol. 1 for their upcoming releases of Sun and Moon as well as Pokemon Horizon have not been revealed yet, the release dates for the Vol. 2 of both series have. I'll let you handle making a volume list for Sun and Moon if you wish to. -Tyler53841 (talk) 04:06, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
- The cover for SM Vol. 1 is already uploaded from the VIZ website. I can set up the lists later today. --Abcboy (talk) 15:51, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
- Took care of setting up the vol. 1 page, so everything is good to go. Also I saw your sandbox for setting up a template for the Pokemon Adventures releases and I like it. When you do set it up, I would advise removing the extra links at the bottom of the pages for the links to the lists which I did for the purpose of connecting them though it will no longer be necessary. I can also help with that if you do not understand. One last note is that it is obvious that Viz is dividing the chapters into mini-volumes though the reason I held back in the past was to avoid speculation. While that note you put for Sun and Moon should work fine for now, when I help make the volume pages I will not list the chapters involved until after the volumes' release to avoid speculation (excluding the final volume), especially if the odd-numbered volumes from the original Japanese release is involved. -Tyler53841 (talk) 02:30, 8 February 2018 (UTC)

Why is the airdate and title for episode 44 speculation along with the others it there are reliable soruces (which im sure don't lie) like: https://twitter.com/nickandmore/status/967229617810673664 http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?661443-When-will-the-Nebby-Arc-air-on-United-States https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?p=9845533 there is proof no speculation. - unsigned comment from Feelitstill23 (talk • contribs)

Turn of phrase: "the natives"
Dear Abcboy,
I recently had made changes to the biology section of the Raichu page, though these were reverted and my concerns dismissed as "thinking too negatively" and "politicising" an issue by both GrammarFreak01 and ForceFire. The change I made was in regards to the turn of phrase "the natives" being used, I adjusted it to "people" and later changed the entire sentence to make it more inclusive. I acted in what I believed were the best interests, that being to maintain neutral and appropriate terminology. The phrase "the natives" is deemed taboo in philosophy and other social sciences because it is enshrouded in the development discourse, the assumption that one demographic is of lesser value then another. Development discourse does not require intent, but ignoring the issue is a case of collaboration with those who do have intent. Admittedly, the article in question, and I have seen the term used in similar contexts in other articles, likely did not intend to offend anyone, though the turn of phrase may very well be harmful. It is important to note that the turn of phrase in question was not used in any supporting materials made to create the biology section, and was deliberately added by a user who may not have thought much of the word and required a new synonym. The term 'native' still has a place in describing a local area or an animal, though should not be used to describe a persons cultural heritage and background. I would like to see such terms abandoned as there are more appropriate terms that are inclusive, a key principle of the Bulbapedia site, such as local, resident and people. While no one would like to think the worst of humanity or themselves, but issues like this should not be ignored or dismissed as overcomplicating matters. For some individuals, such terms have a significant impact and reflect historic racial biases. Bulbapedia has a duty of care to ensure its content is inclusive and reflective of its status as a truly global platform. I have attempted to maintain a level head throughout this debate, but feel it has a larger weight than just the Raichu article. Hope to hear shortly. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 07:32, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Since you insist on doing this, PardescanSlowbro, I'll pitch in as well. I will just repeat what I told Force Fire, to paint a clearer picture:
- PardescanSlowbro is concerned about using the word "native" to describe the residents of Alola in the Raichu article, due to its connection to indigenous peoples who have been plagued with stereotypes and also its purported implicit nature as a development discourse, thus making it potentially offensive to some people. I did not see anything wrong with the word's usage, however, since it can alternatively be used as a synonym for "resident" or "citizen", as I pointed out to him. He's still concerned and has pointed out that official literature no longer uses the word, seemingly making it taboo, even though I have still heard it being used in the context I just described.
- Abcboy, do you think it is appropriate to use "native" in any shape or form here? I'm not aware of any other articles here that use the word. I do acknowledge the potential issue of indigenous peoples being offended, but I don't think anyone will be offended given the word's context in the Raichu article. What do you think? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 07:41, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- Where and why was that decided? I don't see a discussion on that on their talk page. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:10, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- The staff have decided privately to use "the people of Alola" in this particular instance because the original source doesn't use the term "natives" and "the people of Alola" carries the same intentions as said source does. Additionally, the source does not draw any particular distinction between original Alolan residents vs. later immigrants to Alola. --Abcboy (talk) 19:30, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- But like I said, natives can also mean inhabitants of a given area in general. In other words, a synonym of "people". In the context I was advocating, it does not immediately bring concerns of "any particular distinction between original Alolan residents vs. later immigrants to Alola". GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:33, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
- So, in a different incident, Pardescan removed "natives" from the Tobias article despite its innocuous usage. Was that appropriate of him to do as well, or is that not covered under the staff's ruling? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:03, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

That site that you listed for the romanisations of the characters in M21, is that an official site, because I've never seen it before and it doesn't have a Japanese url. Just curious and what about these romanisations. https://twitter.com/DogasusBackpack/status/1017681398004453376 Playerking95 (talk) 20:45, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
- It's the official Pokémon site for Asian regions (you can get to it from the Japanese official site from the "Select a country" link at the bottom). The site as a whole has quite a few errors, and since they contradict that official material in Japan as you linked, the site should not be construed as defining how we should or shouldn't romanize any particular names. --Abcboy (talk) 20:51, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

The reason being that the information is duplicated across the two pages and that the folklore behind the festivals is the only thing explored about the locations. I would also like some clarity on the fate of the Winds of Water page as it has an old deletion alert on, though the information has not been transferred across to Miranda and this page remains a stub.
Hope to hear shortly. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 15:28, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
- Please tag the pages using the
{{merge}}
template and the Editorial Board will get to the pages eventually. --Abcboy (talk) 21:11, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for the information. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 05:37, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Removing "right" from photos
Hello. I was wondering if it would be okay, to remove "right" from any and all photos on the wiki, as seen here. It's useless, unneeded code that doesn't seem to affect the photos if it's removed. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:53, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- It really doesn't matter either way; if you're making substantial changes to a page feel free to change it, but it's useless and unnecessary to go around removing them. --Abcboy (talk) 21:11, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
"Natives" subject continued
I made a post about this earlier, but you didn't respond to it, so I just created a new section for it. So, in a different incident, Pardescan removed "natives" from the Tobias article despite its innocuous usage. Was that appropriate of him to do as well, or is that not covered under the staff's ruling? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 04:15, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
- He also did the same thing to the Nidoking, Onix, EP096, and Rattata articles. Is this appropriate for him to do? Just to be clear, he wants complete censorship of the word because it apparently offends him. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 07:36, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- Dear Abcboy,
- Thank you for the clarification. I'm afraid GrammarFreak01's statement misconstrued my intent. The articles since altered were adjusted in mind of the prior ruling, though to clarify I have no problem with the term 'native' it was always the turn of phrase 'the natives', given the loaded nature of it. I had done a word search and the remaining articles with word in question use it appropriately, in reference to someone being from local to an area, so no future changes can be expected.
- Also, I have been finding my time online difficult thanks to GrammarFreak01's conduct towards me. I had attempted to have their edit stalking resolved by ForceFire, and have recently messaged them on their own discussion page to tell him to approach me in a respectful manner and quit the following. I only receive excuses for the poor conduct and criticism of my edit quality, and critically no acknowledgement that there is indeed an issue. I question the user's judgement given that the edits on pages tend to be moving information around and a word change or two. Admittedly I will not bother to undo the changes though wish for the user to edit on their own free will and not directly after my edits. The extent of the issue included all of he episode page 2 to 90, many character stub pages and most of my edit activity. Is there a better way that I should approach my issue with the conduct in question? PardescanSlowbro (talk) 15:24, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- For further reference to the above, Abcboy, he's talking about these discussions on his talk page. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:09, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- It appears he is still insisting on having the word removed and thus undoing my reversions. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:15, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
Sun and Moon extra Japanese-only scene
Dear Abcboy,
I meant to ask this a while ago, but with the plot summaries for the Sun and Moon episodes are we supposed to include the scene after the PokéProblem segment in the plot summary (it is only shown in the Japanese version, though may resolve or add some information not included in the other versions of the episode), or should it be noted as a Japanese only inclusion somewhere else, like the dub edits section? PardescanSlowbro (talk) 15:43, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
PokéNews article issue
Aside from the news about Pokémon Adventures being now released digitally from VIZ, an issue with the article is the one who posted it accidentally posted the HeartGold and SoulSilver first volume twice with the second picture over the one that is supposed to be the one for the Black and White first volume. -Tyler53841 (talk) 14:09, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
SA Page Edits
- Instead of completing season, Disney XD India has been restart airing S08 episodes over and over again from AG093 every time after reaching AG129. Is this notable for SA page? Because this never happened in the debut of any previously aired seasons on Hungama TV and this happened with S14 also when it aired back on CN and it has been added in SA page.
- Voot completed all the episodes of S06 and has also made first few episodes of S07 available. It seems like they are gonna keep streaming new seasons and episodes of Pokémon like forever so the line the Disney dubs of the anime are available on Voot would be better instead of the Disney dubs of the original series and part of the Advanced Generation series are available on Voot so it will avoid editing this stuff of thing over and over again.
Can you make these following edits on SA page? --Yash Sen 15:59, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
- Will wait on them finishing S08 before writing up the final prose for that; as for Voot, our coverage should be as detailed as other VOD services, so I think the season/language breakdown is fine. --Abcboy (talk) 23:41, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
Pokemon Adventures Idea
Just so you know the release date for the Digital releases of the PA Volumes can be found at both Viz's website and Amazon. In addition the eISBN-13 can also be found at Viz's website. While I do have an idea of adding this information for the Volume list I wanted to run this by you first and I will understand if you must respectfully decline this idea. Here is a link to Viz's page for volume 1 which you can look at the different information between the physical and digital releases if you wish to. [3] -Tyler53841 (talk) 20:24, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
- Feel free to add them to the appropriate lists as a "digital edition" or something like that. --Abcboy (talk) 23:41, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- Okay. Speaking of which this upcoming Tuesday is when the Gold/Silver/Crystal saga's digital releases will be coming via checking from Viz's website. Since I am a member there I'll handle the check for release dates. -Tyler53841 (talk) 14:38, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
- Got the main list done by adding the dates and eISBN codes from VIZ's website. I should also inform you that for a place like Amazon instead of using an eISBN code, they are listing it by an ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) code instead for these volumes' digital versions. -Tyler53841 (talk) 15:39, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

Carrie's Korean name
You added the information that Carrie's Korean name is 미카 Mika. Where does this information come from? There is no Korean version of Pokémon Stadium 2 and the character doesn't appear in any outside-game official media, so how can she have a Korean name? Perhaps it's a misconception, based on Lass Carrie from Goldenrod Gym, whose Korean (and Japanese) name happens to be Mika? --Maxim (talk) 21:03, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- Hmm, that would explain it. What probably confused me was that "CINDY", "JENNIFER", and "LOURDES" also appear in the Trainer list in French/German/Spanish GS (in fact "JENNIFER" is also the German name of Lass Carrie), so I incorrectly presumed that Stadium 2 Carrie's name was in there as well. It might be good to re-check Stadium 2, unless you did that yourself when you added the names back in 2007 (1, 2). --Abcboy (talk) 23:41, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, if I recall correctly, neither Western nor Japanese Pokémon Stadium 2 did read Korean GS cartridges. And yeah, it looks like the European names for her are based on that Lass, but we can't assume that it would also be the case in Korean (especially that in Japanese the two Carries have completely different names). --Maxim (talk) 06:58, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi
Was wondering if you could check if a few of my articles could be mainspaced, User:BigDocFan/Tupp's Salandit, User:BigDocFan/Zipp's Garbodor, User:BigDocFan/Lusamine's Clefable, User:BigDocFan/Gladion's Umbreon and User:BigDocFan/Oranguru (anime). If not really, could you suggest ways I can improve them for main-spacing.--BigDocFan (talk) 16:03, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
- For Salandit, since Tupp owns three Salandit, the article needs to be re-written to show that "a Salandit" or "one of his Salandit" did X. Both it and Zipp's Garbodor both don't seem to have done much and haven't displayed much personality though, so I don't think they're notable ATM.
- Clefable seems good.
- Gladion's Umbreon needs more on its personality and relationship with Gladion. You might be able to expand more on it as an Eevee, as well.
- Oranguru generally seems good, but you should proofread History and re-write the second paragraph there; it's a bit rough. I think you could also include its relationship with Abe in the Personality section. --Abcboy (talk) 17:52, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response, will leave Garbordor and Salandit for now but will continue to work in case they become more notable. Mainspaced Lusamine's Clefable, will continue to work on Oranguru and Umbreon and hopefully they'll be ready soon.--BigDocFan (talk) 19:29, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
- We've done some work on Umbreon and Oranguru so could you have a look when you get a chance please?--BigDocFan (talk) 09:38, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- I understand that you are busy but when you get a chance, can you also look over User:05308/Gladion's Lycanroc--BigDocFan (talk) 13:19, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Looking forward to hearing your response when you get round to it, really pleased that Clefable got made a mainspace. The first of many hopefully.--BigDocFan (talk) 08:31, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

From Blazingfist
I was told to come here to ask about whether or not the Professor Kukui anime page should be main-spaced or not and I also believe Tapu Koko should get main-spaced as well. Playerking95 (talk) 15:35, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
- Kukui looks good. I think the guardian deities might be better served by a collective article rather than individual articles, as we do with other Legendary Pokémon. --Abcboy (talk) 17:53, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but could the ones that have been more important get individual pages until they've all done significant, because Tapu Fini hasn't really done much and compared to the others, its section would look like a stub. Playerking95 (talk) 21:15, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
Voot
S01 is now available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Voot and Voot has added all episodes till S07 and episodes of S08 till AG125. Can you update the SA page? --Yash Sen 17:07, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
- Unpredictably, Voot has made available all the episodes of S08 till AG145 in English and Hindi before Disney XD could complete S08. This is the first time a streaming service has made available those episodes which hasn't yet released on TV. Can you update SA page with this also? --Yash Sen 09:21, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
Oranguru's_Place
Was wondering if there was any way in which User:BigDocFan/Oranguru's_Place might be mainspaced. I know it hasn't got a proper name as yet but it is a recurring location of importance.--BigDocFan (talk) 20:28, 9 September 2018 (UTC)
- Me again, any chance you could provide some comments on User:BigDocFan/Professor_Kukui's_Incineroar in terms of it being mainspaced as well when you get a chance.--BigDocFan (talk) 11:09, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
- Don't suppose you've heard back from other staff on Oranguru's place?--BigDocFan (talk) 18:16, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Watching SM062 on CITV today, I noticed Meowth refer to Oranguru as Innkeep which could suggest this be called Oranguru's Inn?--BigDocFan (talk) 19:29, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
Chapter (Adventures)
I recently had to update the page to bring the information up-to-date on that page. Could you take a look at it when you have the time and if necessary make any copy-edits to improve anything you feel could be beneficial to that page? -Tyler53841 (talk) 18:22, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
VA Name Romanization
Hi abcboy,
How are we romanizing んい in voice actor's names, officially? I've seen various standards on VA pages: in the case of Kenichi Suzumura there's no apostrophe between n and i, whereas in the case of Shin'ichirō Miki the n and i are separated. In both cases the kanji reading in hiragana is definitely んい and not に, which would support apostrophe usage. The MoS indicates Hepburn should be used, and both traditional and modified Hepburn separate the nasal, vowels, and semivowels with a dash and apostrophe, respectively, to distinguish it from a glide or different mora; however this isn't directly indicated, unlike macron usage, in the MoS.
What say you?
RotaRaichu (talk) 05:15, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- I titled the Kenichi Suzumura article that way because that was how the Anime News Network article wrote it, and previous VA articles have been renamed to remove apostrophes if profiles showed romanizations that didn't have it. I apologize if that was a mistake, though. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 05:24, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- Page titles should reflect how the VA/their agency/etc. prefers it romanized; if unknown, it should use Hepburn with the apostrophe. There should still be redirects as appropriate, and the romanization of the kanji in the first line should still use Hepburn regardless of the VA's preference. --Abcboy (talk) 05:26, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- I did create a redirect just in case. Also, it appears Suzumura's Arts Vision profile is no longer existent and there aren't any other accessible profiles of him, to my knowledge. Does that mean the article should be renamed? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 05:31, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- His INTENTION profile has it without the apostrophe; it should be fine. --Abcboy (talk) 05:55, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- Okay. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:44, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
Nebby
Can you write down the role for Nebby in SM089 and SM090, please? I was originally going to do that, but unfortunately, I can't due to family issues. Seabiscuit2020 (talk) 05:01, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
SM078
With SM080's dub title revealed, is SM078's dub title real? Playerking95 (talk) 12:25, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
- It's listed under that title in the search as well, so it can be treated as confirmed. --Abcboy (talk) 02:09, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
Zlblosser18
As the one who blocked this user, I think you should extend that block, given he only had this to say in response to a warning that I gave him. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:57, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
- And now, this user is completely disregarding Tiddlywinks' warnings and resigning stuff. I do think a longer block is warranted at this point. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:12, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Rosie Reyes
Not my page I know but would you call User:Super10ZX/Rosie_Reyes worth mainspacing as she voices a main character and a recurring?--BigDocFan (talk) 21:40, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
- That should be for a different section... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:37, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Bogavante and Doondook De Storm
Bogavante just contacted me, claiming he and Doondook are friends in real life, not the same person, and that you can check the IPs for yourself. Just a heads-up. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:42, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
- I never said we were friends in real life - we are online friends. Bogavante (talk) 23:41, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
- Well, you didn't use the term "online friend" specifically, hence my mistake. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:50, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
