Hiya! I'm Landfish7. I've been an editor on Bulbapedia since January 2009 and became a Junior Administrator in July 2023. I'd probably consider myself an all-around contributor. While I am involved in some parts of the site more than others, I find all parts of the franchise interesting and am happy to help out wherever I can! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to leave a message on my talk page, or you can DM me on Discord at landfish7a. Thanks!
Current tasks
Main tasks
- General
- Finish any incomplete userspace drafts and other projects.
- Improve and update species pages.
- Apply the new format for forms and evolutions.
- Add/move release info to Trivia for Pokémon that were announced before the release of their respective games or DLC.
- Add/move release info to Intro for game mascots, starter Pokémon, and Pokémon that were released after their games or DLC, such as Mythical Pokémon, Walking Wake, and Iron Leaves.
- Specific
- Expand Death in the Pokémon world with info from spin-off games; expand new Life force section.
- Create more articles on locations by type and buildings, as well as any necessary disambiguation pages.
- Expand and complete List of Guinness World Records for the Pokémon franchise.
- Experiment with a rework of Pokémon Center article; upload and add missing images.
- Upload and add images of layout of Player's house from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! to the main article.
- Rewrite M13 plot details in related character articles.
Other areas of focus
- Improving the Biology and Origin sections of Pokémon.
- Replacing definitive wording for unsourced info such as "is based on" or "is likely based on" to more speculative wording such as "may be", "appears to be", or "seems to be".
- Improving anime episode synopses.
- Fixing common spelling, capitalization, grammar, syntax, and punctuation mistakes in articles across the mainspace.
- Adding the serial comma where needed.
- Removing hyphens connecting adverbs ending in "-ly" to an adjective e.g. fixing "fully-evolved" to "fully evolved".
- Conforming to official spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and phrasing of Pokémon terminology.
- Creating needed redirects; marking unneeded redirects for deletion.
- Elevating trivia to the body of the article, if applicable.
- Fixing/adding link templates.
- Removing unnotable trivia.
- Removing unnecessary extra spaces/clutter from the wikitext of articles.
- Removing items from disambiguation pages that readers aren't likely to be looking for.
True signature moves
Only signature moves that cannot be copied by Smeargle's Sketch, introduced in Generation II, can be considered true signature moves. This includes:
- All signature moves in Generation I, as Sketch had not been introduced yet.
- Sketch itself, since it can only be learned by Smeargle and only other Smeargle can copy it.
- Chatot's Chatter, introduced in Generation IV, being the only signature move that cannot be sketched.
- Melmetal's Double Iron Bash, introduced in Generation VII in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, as Sketch cannot be used in any of the games that Double Iron Bash can be used in from Generation VII onwards.
- All signature moves introduced in the Generation VIII games Pokémon Sword and Shield and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, as Sketch cannot be used in those games and those moves cannot be used in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, where Sketch is usable.
- All signature moves in Generation IX, as Sketch cannot be used in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and those games are the only games released for Generation IX so far.
Similarly, all exclusive Z-Moves, G-Max Moves, and Shadow moves can be considered truly exclusive moves, as Z-Moves and Shadow moves cannot be sketched, and Sketch cannot be used in Pokémon Sword and Shield, the only games where G-Max Moves can be used.
Notably, Darkrai's Dark Void (since Generation VII) and Hoopa Unbound's Hyperspace Fury can be copied by Sketch, but can only be performed if used by Darkrai or Hoopa Unbound, or a Pokémon that has transformed into Darkrai or Hoopa Unbound, respectively.
