Pidgeot (Japanese: ピジョット Pigeot) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from Pidgeotto starting at level 36. It is the final form of Pidgey.

Pidgeot bares striking resemblance to Pidgeotto; however, Pidgeot is noticeably larger than is pre-evolution. Its plumage tends to be larger and glossier. The feathers on its head-crest are nearly as long as its body, and are yellow and red. Its tail feathers are red colored. Like its previous evolutions, its underbelly is a tan color, and it has black markings around its eyes.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Pidgeot is a powerful flier, capable of creating whirlwinds strong enough to bend trees. At maximum velocity it can reach speeds of Mach 2. It has keen eyes that allow it to see Magikarp from a distance of 3300 feet in the air.

Trivia
- Pidgeot originally had an extra "t" in its name, but it was dropped.
- There is an error on Pidgeot's Generation II and Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald backsprites. The 'hair' on its head is shorter than it is on the front sprite.
- It is one of the few Pokémon whose Template:Shiny2 sprites changed colors; in Generation II, Pidgeot's shiny was all green with peach tail/feathers, in Generation III the whole body changed to gold.
- Pidgeot was capable of learning Sky Attack in Generation I. But, for some reason, it could not learn the move again until Pokémon Platinum.
- In Generation II, Pidgeot's tail was shown to have two colors, pink and white. In the official art and the anime, however, it was completely pink. It was changed back to pink in Generation III.
Origin
Despite its name, its appearance and behavior do not resemble a pigeon so much as that of a bird of prey, particularly an eagle or an osprey.
Name origin
Its name may just be a variation of pigeon, but depending on how one pronounces it, the word jet may be incorporated into its name.
In other languages
- German: Tauboss - Combination of Taube (pigeon) and the English word boss.
- French: Roucarnage - From roucoule (coo) and English carnage.
- Korean: 피죤투 Pijontu
- Chinese (Taiwan): 比雕 Bî Diao - Transliteration of the first part of its Japanese name, Pigeot. The last character, 雕, means eagle.
- Chinese (Hong Kong): 大比鳥 Dái Bî Nîao - In relation to the name of its pre-evolved form, Pidgeotto, this name literally means 'big Pidgeotto'.
