Beautifly (Japanese: アゲハント Agehunt) is a dual-type Bug/Flying Pokémon.

It evolves from Silcoon starting at level 10. It is one of the final forms of Wurmple.

Behavior

Although they have a gentle appearance, Beautifly have been known to be very aggressive. It savagely attacks other Pokémon by sucking their body fluids.

In All Things Bright and Beautifly, Janet used a Beautifly in a Pokémon Contest.

May's Silcoon evolved into a Beautifly in Seeing is Believing. Beautifly from then on was used in many Contests by May. It made her Torchic feel very jealous and wanting to evolve. Beautifly left May's team to go to Petalburg Gym.

Sakura also has a Beautifly, which she used to help Misty stop thieves in The Blue Badge of Courage.

Aaron's Wurmple was revealed to have evolved into Beautifly in A Trainer and Child Reunion!.

Ruby Beautifly's favorite food is the sweet pollen of flowers. If you want to see this Pokémon, just leave a potted flower by an open window. Beautifly is sure to come looking for pollen.
Sapphire Beautifly has a long mouth like a coiled needle, which is very convenient for collecting pollen from flowers. This Pokémon rides the spring winds as it flits around gathering pollen.
Emerald Its colorfully patterned wings are its most prominent feature. It flies through flower-covered fields collecting pollen. It attacks ferociously when angered.
FireRed Despite its appearance, it has an aggressive nature. It attacks by jabbing with its long, thin mouth.

This Pokémon appears to be based on the swallowtail butterfly.

Name origin

Beautifly's name is a combination of the words beauty and butterfly. It could also be a play on the word beautify. Agehunt could be a combination of 揚羽蝶 agehachō, swallowtail butterfly, and hunt.
