In the games
In Pokémon Black and White, Giima appears as an Elite Four Trainer of Isshu. His appearance seems to be inspired by vampires, backed up by his ominous candlelit room, styled with influence from vampire backdrop such as Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Trivia
- Giima uses a male Zuruzukin upon battling him the first time. It is then replaced with a female Zuruzukin upon battling him a second time.
- Notably, Sharpedo, who is in Zuruzukin's slot in subsequent battles, is the only male Pokémon on Giima's team, meaning that only the first Pokémon in Giima's party is male while the rest are female.
