Judgment (Japanese: さばきのつぶて Judgment Strike) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV. It is the signature move of Arceus, and like Arceus, varies in type depending on the plate held by the user.

Effect

Judgment inflicts damage and has no secondary effect. The type of Judgment depends on the type of plate held by the user, being Normal-type if there is no held plate.

Trivia

  • Its name is derived from judgment, a concept within the Jewish belief that says that Yahweh casts judgment upon wicked people on earth.
  • Due to the types of both Arceus and Judgment being determined by the plate held, Judgment always receives STAB when used by Arceus.
  • In the English debut of the movie Arceus and the Jewel of Life, Arceus consistently said the word "Justice" whenever using this move.
