Trivia
- Each of Zebstrika's abilities give it an immunity to a certain type and raise a certain stat.
- Zebstika shares the same species name with Electivire. They are both known as Thunderbolt Pokémon.
- It is one of a few Pokémon whose species name in English is the same as the name of a move.
- Zebstrika is the only Pokémon that has a base stat total of 497.
Origin
Zebstrika appears to be based on a Zebra. It may also be based on two of Helios's steeds that pulled his chariot—Bronte and Sterope—which are Greek for thunder and lightning, respectively, as Zebstrika's species in Japanese can be translated as the "Thunder and Lightning Pokémon."
Name origin
Zebstrika seems to be a combination of the words Zebra and strike. Its Japanese name is likely a combination of Zebra and 雷火 raika, flash of lightning.
