Fire Pledge (Japanese: ほのおのちかい Fire Oath) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation V.

Effect

Fire Pledge inflicts regular damage, with double damage and an additional effect when combined with Grass Pledge or Water Pledge in Double or Triple Battles. The combined move uses the second user who used a pledge to calculate damage.

If it and Grass Pledge are used in the same turn, it will cause all foes to take damage equal to 1/8 of their maximum HP at the end of each turn for four turns, this effect is negated if it is raining.

If it and Water Pledge are used in the same turn, it will come out as Water Pledge, and doubles the probability of secondary effects taking place for four turns. This effect does not stack with Serene Grace.

Similar to Grass Pledge and Water Pledge, Fire Pledge is unaffected by a held Fire Gem (and will not consume it).

Description

Games Description
A column of fire hits opposing Pokémon. When used with its Grass equivalent, its damage increases into a vast sea of fire.
