Devon Corporation (Japanese: デボンコーポレーション Devon Corporation) is a large company that is based in Rustboro City in Hoenn. Most of the locals just shorten the name to "Devon". It was a small company many years ago, but has grown by leaps and bounds. It has grown to be the Hoenn equivalent to Kanto's Silph Co. The Devon Corporation is headquartered in a large stone building in the northern section of town.
Devon makes many useful products, many of them geared towards Pokémon training. The company is responsible for creating the new types of Poké Balls chiefly found in Hoenn.
The Devon Corporation also developed a process to revive Pokémon from Fossils. It can be assumed that this process developed independently of the one at Cinnabar Island's Labs and the one done in the Sinnoh region.
The president of the Devon Corporation is Mr. Stone. Both Mr. Stone and Devon were first seen in the anime in Stairway to Devon.

This machine allows for an extinct Pokémon to be brought back to life by utilizing DNA preserved in a Pokémon fossil. It has five capsules that are filled with an orange liquid called Creation Fluid. When a Pokémon Fossil is put inside the fluid, the machine extracts its data, which is analyzed in a high-power supercomputer. The result is a blueprint for the Pokémon; from this blueprint, the corporation grows a regenerated Pokémon.
In the anime, it is still in progress, but in the games it is functional.

In the games
The player's first encounter with Devon Corporation occurs in Petalburg Woods, when approached by a Devon researcher who claims to be looking for wild Shroomish. The researcher is then attacked by a member of Team MagmaR or Team AquaSE, whom the player must battle in order to prevent the Devon Goods from being stolen.
After defeating Roxanne, the same researcher can be seen chasing after a Team MagmaR or Team AquaSE thief who has managed to steal the Devon Goods from him. After chasing the thief to the Rusturf Tunnel and defeating him, the player will automatically be taken to the 3F of the Devon Corporation (which was previously inaccessible) upon returning the Devon Goods to the researcher. Here, Mr. Stone, the company president, asks the player deliver the Devon Goods to Captain Stern in Slateport City and a Letter for Steven in Granite Cave. In return for accepting these favors, Mr. Stone presents the player with a PokéNav. After delivering the items, the player will also receive an Exp. Share upon speaking to Mr. Stone again. Additionally, the researcher will stand outside the Rusturf Tunnel and give the player a Repeat Ball after delivering the Devon Goods.
In Pokémon Emerald, a researcher will install the Match Call feature onto the player's PokéNav when exiting the building after talking to Mr. Stone for the first time. The player will then be prompted to call Mr. Stone who explains the feature in brief detail and claims that the player seems quite happy as he is watching from a window in his 3F office.
Later in the game, the player can bring the Root Fossil or Claw Fossil to a scientist located in the bottom right of the second floor to get it restored. In Pokémon Emerald only, the Fossil the player did not choose can be obtained after entering the Hall of Fame by visiting the Desert Underpass.
Engineers on the second floor are working on developing devices that allow people to talk to Pokémon, as well as one that visually reproduces the dreams of Pokémon.

In the Pokémon Adventures manga
The Devon Corporation serves similar purposes in Pokémon Adventures. The "Devon Goods" was actually a metal tube that allowed Captain Stern's submarine to withstand the pressure of deeper sea water. Mr. Stone was ambushed by Team Aqua while heading to Slateport from Rustboro, and the metal tube was stolen. The letter to Steven contained the then-undeciphered code required to unlock the legendary golems in case Kyogre and Groudon clashed with each other again. Sapphire was instructed to deliver this letter but only managed to do so when Kyogre and Groudon did clash, and she was saved temporarily from the burst of energy by Steven.
Trivia
- The Pokémon Transformer may be a reference to Bill's machine that turned him into a Pokémon.
- A scientist working for the Devon Corporation in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald mentions that he is trying to create a device that visually reproduces the dreams of Pokémon, but that he is not succeeding. Likewise, in the anime, Devon is trying to construct a Dream Visualiser, which is the function of the Pokémon Dream World, introduced in Generation V.
- Devon Corporation's anime headquarters bears a striking resemblance to Toronto City Hall.
- Devon Corporation is named after the English county of Devon. The reason to adopt Devon seems to be related to Devonian.
