The Desert (Japanese: さばく Desert) is a location in Hoenn, part of Route 111. There is a continuous sandstorm in it and so the Go-Goggles are required to enter. In the games, the player will receive them from their rival after beating Flannery in the Lavaridge Gym.
The Desert Ruins, the resting place of Regirock, are found at the southernmost point in the desert.
While the anime has shown a few deserts over the course of the series, the desert in Candid Camerupt is likely based on this particular desert as the Winstrate family, another aspect of Route 111, are found living there.
