under 'musical appearences' does Live count as its own entry or do we link to individual songs? Because she was still Meowth's voice in that, and sang in "Best at Being the Worst"- unsigned comment from Blackjack Gabbiani (talkcontribs)

They're both added. --Argy 03:18, 13 May 2005 (UTC)

Ketsubans revert

Just like to say that, as a transsexual person, Ketsuban is correct. Just to put any thoughts Argy may have at rest. - Ferret

This Seems Kinda Odd...

Why is there an Adult Warning page on Misty and Tracey and OrangeShipping but there isn't one on a real-life tranny? - unsigned comment from Bryce739 (talkcontribs)

I let Pie know that the shipping warnings should have been removed recently, apparently she has to wait for Zhen Lin to return before it can be removed. --Porygon 03:00, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Because it only briefly mentions that she's transgendered. --PAK Man Talk 03:28, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
So what if she's a transgender. What's the big deal? --ケンジガール 04:11, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
That's what I'd like to know. Wikipedia doesn't do anything special to her article there. --PAK Man Talk 04:14, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Not my point at all. I was just comparing. - unsigned comment from Bryce739 (talkcontribs)
It's basically because some people take shippings really seriously, so there has to be some sort of disclaimer. After all, we do adhere to NPOV here as much as possible, we're not gonna go out and say something like "anyone who uses Arceus is a cheater" or "Ash is an idiot", except with backed up facts. Since shippings, of course, cannot be proven unless the writers actually decide to focus there, well, there's the warning just in case, especially in cases where there's a homosexual shipping, since there are always more conservative people who'll complain about them, partly for the shipping, partly for the other part.
As for there being no warning on this page, well... why should we worry that a human being with feelings offends someone with the point of view that she's less of a person because she's transgendered? TTEchidna 07:34, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

two things

so wait, was she born a guy and got her gender switched? im a little confused.

plus, ive seen her credited as Addie Blaustein. Should that be mentioned? Mooites 23:51, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

In the Biography section:
"Maddie Blaustein was born on October 9, 1960 in Long Island, New York, USA, as Adam John Blaustein. She is a male-to-female transexual."
I believe that answers your first question. As for the second, sure, if it wasn't some sort of typo ar anything. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 00:00, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I read that part. I just dont get it.Mooites 00:07, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
"Male-to-female" means born a male, became a female through medical procedure. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 00:11, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
oh. thanks. dont i feel dumb. Mooites 00:18, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Death

Someone in the forum said that she died last week in her sleep. Is it true? And please add a notice on the page if it's protected. -Billy4b2004 13:44, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

We haven't been able to confirm or refute it yet, which is why the article is protected for now. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 14:15, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Yes. It has been confirmed that she died in her sleep last week. R.I.P Maddie. You will be missed by all fans.

~TG~

Please provide a source if it is true. Because I cannot find anything online besides Serebii stating this is true. --PAK Man Talk 15:07, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
I find it a little hard to believe unless a source is given. Serebii.net is the only place where it has been mentioned so far but no sources are provided there, and Wikipedia, PKMN.net and others Pokemon websites have no mention of this news. Evilgidgit 15:23, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

so sadly missed she got bangungot same sa Marky Cielo--Bakunawa 15:51, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Her website isn't up any more. I bet they took it down. R.A. Hunter B. 17:08, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
That's not in any way a for-sure sign of someone's death. I'd imagine that Pokébeach would go down temporarily if they didn't pay their monthly server bill, and we wouldn't claim its webmaster had died just because the site went down.
Of course, speaking of Pokébeach, we could wire one of their staff with a microphone, send them into the 4Kids headquarters, and inquire various people in the company about the issue...
Granted, odds are that if it is true, someone at 4Kids or some other place he/she/it/whatever has been known to work at will say something soon. After all, the Sonic fanbase didn't learn about Deem Bristow's death until around the time the funeral was being held...--Shiningpikablu252 17:13, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
a LiveJournal community posted about emails people were recieving about this since the 14th. I just don't know what to believe at the moment --empressdonna 17:53, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Please provide a link. --PAK Man Talk 18:38, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
All we have right now is people saying they got e-mails from sources they don't define and troublemakers have pretended to be voice actors in the past. WPM says some announcement will be made tomorrow, so if his source is correct we'll know for sure then. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 20:11, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

I am going to miss Maddie on Pokemon and she just got a job back on it. This has to be such a sad time for her family right now especially this close to Christmas but at least it was a peaceful death. "I am sad to inform you all, that I have recently been informed by separate sources of the loss of one of our beloved original voice actors, Madeleine Blaustein, unfortunately passed away in her sleep last week." Cipher (Talk) 22:45, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Featured Article

What? Really? I know it's sad, but we can put her on the main page without this charade. — THE TROM — 01:48, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Featuring an article is for recognizing an excellent article, not because the subject of the article just died. -- Umbee 12:48, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm totally agreeing with you. She passing away should not trigger an automatic FA status. And admins BTW, there is a typo at the external links section that I can't fix due to the protection. In one of the links, her surname is spelled as "Blaustien". UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 16:47, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Fixed. And I do agree it's not one of the best-written articles on here, but just for a few days at least, let it be a Featured Article. I expect that status will be removed when the Main Page gets put back to normal. Cipher (Talk) 16:55, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
It's our way of honoring her memory. --PAK Man Talk 18:50, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Exactly. Best way to do it. Will it remain a featured article after its removal? Cipher (Talk) 18:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, it could have been on the main page without this status too, but I guess this way is OK too. About the future, I don't know, since I don't think that the article is very rich in content. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 19:02, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
I fully agree with honoring Maddie's memory, but making an article that does not meet the criteria a featured article is not exactly maintaining the standard of neutrality that is paramount for a good encyclopedia. That being said, I say we let this be for at least a day or two. Trainer-c 19:45, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Ohhhh guys I have to say that is a nice thing to do for her and I know that she would appreciate it. I am still deeply saddened by it though. De Wolfy is here 17:43, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Wait, we couldn't have just changed the heading to "In Memoriam"? Admin plz? — THE TROM — 21:38, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
