Chairtarō

(Japanese: チェアたろう Chairtarō) is a recurring character in the Pokémon Adventures manga. He is an announcer who hosts events in various different regions.

History

Chairtarō in Alola

Chairtarō makes his debut in Wake Up—You're Snorlax!. There, he hosted a Bicycle race that Red participated in. The prize for the competition was $1,000,000, which Red managed to obtain, only to be forced to spend in order to feed his newly-captured Snor.

In Breath of the Dragonair Part 1, Chairtarō is seen hosting the Vermilion Beach Monster-Wave-Riding Contest that Yellow participated in. The prize for the contest was a Dragonair capable of crossing over the seas, but it was stolen by Lance.

In the Hoenn region, Chairtarō serves as the announcer for Pokémon Contests. In Mind-Boggling with Medicham, he is seen hosting a Normal Rank Contest in Verdanturf Town. In I More Than Like You, Luvdisc I, he is seen hosting a Super Rank Contest at Fallarbor Town. In Always Keep Whiscash on You for Emergencies, despite the area being flooded due to awakening of Kyogre, Chairtarō is seen hosting a Hyper Rank Contest in Slateport City. When Chairtarō falls into the water, a passerby Swimmer saves the announcer and chastises him for hosting a Contest despite the danger.

In Boogying with Buneary, Chairtarō appears as an announcer for Pokémon Super Contests.
