The curator (Japanese: 館長 curator) of the Pewter Museum of Science is a recurring character who first appeared in Restore and Renew!.
He met Ash, Goh, and Chloe while they were searching the Museum's excavation site attraction for Fossils to restore. His enthusiastic showing of a Claw Fossil to the Trainers and expertise encouraged them to find a fossil for themselves. He also invited them to visit the restoration room once they found a Fossil so that he could restore it.
Chloe uncovered a fossilized shell while Goh found a piece of Old Amber, which the curator put in the fossil restoration machine to revive the ancient Pokémon inside. He left it there overnight, only for Team Rocket to break in and destroy the fossil restoration machine in their haste, causing the newly revived Aerodactyl to go on a rampage. The curator checked the damage and informed Ash and the others, who went on to handle the situation from there. The three then saw Aerodactyl and chased after it, with Goh eventually catching it.
He reappeared in A Pinch of This, a Pinch of That!, where he contacted Ash, Goh, and Chloe about researching the fossils that were found in Galar, which they agreed to do. Later, the three shared their findings with him, including the captures of Dracovish and Arctozolt.
He reappeared in a fantasy in Out of Their Elements!.
