Trivia
- When Eternatus uses Eternabeam, it briefly appears in its Eternamax form during the move's animation. This is the only time Eternamax Eternatus is seen outside of the battle against it during the climax of Sword and Shield's story.
- Despite displaying the Eternamax form for the duration of the move's animation, the game does not treat this as an actual form change internally, Eternatus's stats and form index value remain unchanged, and furthermore if Shiny Eternatus uses the move, the Shiny version of its Eternamax form is not registered in the player's Pokédex.
- Eternabeam has the highest base power of all Dragon-type moves, excluding Z-Moves.
- Eternabeam is the only move that is a regular move in the core series games but is a max move in Pokémon Masters EX.
- Eternabeam is most likely not in Scarlet and Violet due to Eternamax Eternatus' model not being in the game.
