Major events
- AZ has Xerneas take everyone back to the surface while he is captured by Xerosic.
- Y reveals that she and the Gym Leaders survived the blast due to the barriers created by Valerie and Olympia's Pokémon.
- Xerosic informs Lysandre that despite the ultimate weapon firing, only buildings were damaged and no lives were taken in the blast.
- After Xerneas lands on the surface, it begins searching for a human to capture it.
- Bryony and a group of Team Flare Grunts attempt to capture Xerneas.
- Y decides to take Xerneas for herself and names it Xerxer.
- Y and Xerxer easily defeat Bryony and the Grunts.
- Y attempts to destroy the ultimate weapon, only to be stopped by the arrival of Malva, who has captured Yveltal.
- Malva reveals that Yveltal went dormant in its cocoon form buried in the ground under Xerneas's tree form.
- Malva attacks Y, but Xerosic tells her to stop as Lysandre stated that Xerneas and Yveltal are equal in strength, which means that battling will only lead to an endless fight between the two.
- Xerxer decides that retreating is the best option and flies off with everyone on its back.
- Blue watches the incident unfold from afar and wonders if "Z" is the key to ending the battle between Xerneas and Yveltal.
