(While "無念" (munen) is often translated as "regret," "mortification" plays that it's both regretful and the main user is part Ghost type. Taking off the "of" to also make it close to the dub name.)

Bitter Blade (Japanese: むねんのつるぎ Mortification Sword) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation IX. It is the signature move of Ceruledge.

Effect

Bitter Blade inflicts damage, and it restores the user's HP by half of the damage dealt. If used by a Pokémon with Sharpness, its power is increased by 50%.

If the user is holding a Big Root, the HP restored is increased by 30%. Big Root does not increase the damage dealt.

If the target has the Ability Liquid Ooze, the user will lose the amount of HP it would have gained instead.

Description

Games Description
