POKÉTOON: The Pokémon Cartoon Animation (Japanese: ポケモンアニメシリーズ「POKÉTOON」 Pokémon Anime Series "POKÉTOON") is a series of animated shorts featuring various Pokémon originally posted on the Pokémon Kids TV Japan YouTube channel.
The first short, Scraggy and Mimikyu, was released on June 5, 2020. Nearly a year later, the second short, The Pancham Who Wants to Be a Hero, was released on May 5, 2021. Four additional shorts were announced on May 10, 2021.[1] The English dub of the shorts were released on Pokémon TV every Friday from June 17, 2022 to August 5, 2022,[2] and were later released on the English Pokémon YouTube channel on August 25, 2022.
A second set of shorts was released on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel every Wednesday starting September 18th, 2024. Unlike the earlier set, these shorts have a more musical element and are in a vertical short-form video format.
