POKÉTOON
POKÉTOON: The Pokémon Cartoon Animation (Japanese: ポケモンアニメシリーズ「POKÉTOON」 Pokémon Anime Series "POKÉTOON") is a series of animated shorts featuring various Pokémon originally posted on the Pokémon Kids TV Japan YouTube channel.
The first short, Scraggy and Mimikyu, was released on June 5, 2020. Nearly a year later, the second short, The Pancham Who Wants to Be a Hero, was released on May 5, 2021. Four additional shorts were announced on May 10, 2021.[1] The English dub of the shorts were released on Pokémon TV every Friday from June 17, 2022 to August 5, 2022,[2] and were later released on the English Pokémon YouTube channel on August 25, 2022.
A second series of eight shorts is being released on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel, TikTok account, and Instagram account every Wednesday from September 18 to November 6, 2024. Unlike the earlier series, these shorts are in a short-form video format, and have a more musical element. Four of the shorts will be in the traditional horizontal format, while the other four will be in a vertical format; the four horizontal shorts will feature original ending themes by Fukurow note, Taiyu Fujiwara, LustQueen, and RUI・TAIKI・KANON.
