Hi Jump Kick (Japanese: とびひざげり Jumping Flame Kick) is a slightly inaccurate damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Hi Jump Kick does damage, however, if this attack misses, the user will crash and take damage. Since all attacks that do 0 damage are considered a miss, Hi Jump Kick will always miss if used against a Template:Type2.

If the user of Hi Jump Kick attacks first and faints itself due to crash damage, the opponent will not attack or be subjected to recurrent damage during that round. However, the user will still be subject to recurrent damage.

The crash damage from Hi Jump Kick can be reversed by Bide or Counter.

In Generation IV its base power was increased from 85 to 100.
