Haunter (Japanese: ゴースト Ghost) is a Ghost/Poison-type Pokémon.

Name origin
Haunter's name origin simply means it is one who haunts, as ghosts are known to do. Its Japanese name is just Ghost.
It appears to be based on a generic sort of cartoonish ghost.
The proto-type name of Haunter was "Spectre".

- The immunity of Ghost Pokémon to Normal and Fighting can be removed by the use of moves such as Foresight; If such a move is used, the effectiveness of Normal on Haunter is 100, and of Fighting - 50 (due to Gengar's other type).

Haunter first appeared in EP023. After Ash befriened it, he attempted to use it it fight against Sabrina. The only problem was that Haunter decided to goof off.
