Why not use numbered lists and remove the number from the heading? - Jshadias 05:36, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- If the number is in the heading, you can see the counts at a glance from the TOC. - 振霖T 16:06, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. I still think it'd be a good idea to use numbered lists though, to make errors in the heading's count stand out. - Jshadias 16:23, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)
This didn't really pan out, huh? It always sort of makes me sad when I look at this page. --Pie 06:37, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
... it'd, uh, help a lot if people actually voted on these... --Pie ~♪♫ 06:05, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
How many votes does it take to become a featured article? File:Ani164MS.gifShinyTalk | ContribsFile:Ani408MS.gifFile:Ani410MS.gif 20:41, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Are we going to have another featured article one day? GlinnFile:Ani202MS.gif 11:28, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
I hope I make a featured article someday... *batters eyelashes dreamily* File:Ani417MS.gifPLFile:Ani026MS.gif12File:Ani181MS.gif19:24, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
...Dissapointing, this is. Still no more featured articles. Surely you've had enough time to "get your act together." Glinn Mgraw 05:57, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Is it really that hard? Glinn Mgraw 14:52, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
COUGH HACK ANYONE THERE?! Glinn Mgraw 10:10, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Pathetic. I don't like talking to myself. Surely there is an article out there that can be featured? Surely? Glinn Mgraw 10:08, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh yes, I second that! I really think the Ash article should be featured! It's very detailed and well-written. It's also very interesting as well. ^_^ --PokemonTrainerLisa 10:24, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Can't this be a Featured Article Nominee? Misty-May-Dawn rulz 09:40, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Bulbasaur
Should be nominated, no? I didn't do it myself (yet) only because I am pressed for time. Theininen 22:51, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think any article should be featured. Nothing happens. It's not like it ever gets promoted to the front page or anything. Porygon-Z 22:52, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
How many votes
How much votes are needed before an article is accepted (or rejected)? MathijsP 16:02, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- Answer please. MathijsP 14:55, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- *shrugs* TTEchidna 07:17, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- How much.
- How much.
- Really? You really want to know?
- OK. You need three kilograms of votes before it's enough.
- You figure that out. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 07:45, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- *shrugs* TTEchidna 07:17, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- 3000 votes??? what is it really, does there have to be a certain margin in between support and oppose, like there has to be a differnce of 10 or 20 before it is rejected or accepted. What is it? --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010 09:52, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Right, OK
I highly suggest that, going at the current rate of featured articles we have that we would not need the featured article nomination page. Or is just there for looks? Glinn Mgraw 06:50, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- A comment just made by TTE on another page about how he wishes people would be more enthusiastic about featuring articles reminded me of this. Are we ever going to make one of these article featured? There are so many nominees, and so many votes. I even recently made a new nomination myself. Is anything ever going to happen? --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 20:36, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- Nothing probably will, and some articles I don't even think deserve to be nominated...but that last part was just my opinion.--PsychicRider☆ 21:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- Ultimately this is just a way for users to point out pages to the people in charge; the people in charge are the ones who actually decide whether or not to accept or reject a nomination. The actual vote counts don't really matter. At the moment no-one is in charge... - 振霖T 02:54, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Okay then, I'll just point out a decent article to the person who isn't there... Glinn Mgraw 13:38, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- This is stupid, if TTE wants us to be more enthusiastic why not set some guidelines of how many votes needed to be featured or rejected, maybe like it has to be a difference of 10. YOU CANT EXPECT PEOPLE TO BE ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT VOTING WHEN

a) nothing is ever done about it, i think over the whole course of BP weve had 3 articles b} their votes acutally dont count as "the people in charge" can just go against the vote and say no. Why vote on something that can just be overturned.
Its like holding a referendum but saying, "this is very serious you should all be enthusiastic about voting, but your votes dont actually count for shit in the end" --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010 09:58, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think the idea is to tell them what a good idea for a feat. art. is, then let whoever's in charge (does anyone know who is, anyway?) decide, not to actually pick one on our own. I agree that there should be a set number of votes to get one (always the issue of sockpuppeting to feature a junk article, could be dealt with), but as it is, this is what we've got. LIVE WITH IT. Theininen 17:09, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Relinks
Could someone relink the vote pages to the main page? I'd do it myself, but I don't know how without messing up the main itself. Theininen 23:21, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Dude.
Waaay too many of these. We're gonna have to start, like, a weekly featured article or something. --ニョロトノ666 01:59, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Does a FAC have to be a article in the mainspace?
MathijsP 07:06, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's following the same style as Manual of style it's two shortcuts are "MOS" and "BP:MOS" If for any reason the FAC article is needed in the mainspace, it can then be edited for different use. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 07:11, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Nominating
Can we nominate any article we think is good enough? If so Id like to nominate Article: $1 - unsigned comment from Guardian (talk • contribs)
- Truely, $1 is our finest article. The level of prose found within is unmatched anywhere in the wiki.
- But seriously, you can nominate anything if you think it's good enough. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 19:14, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Deadlines
When do some of these get passed? Many have been up for months with no new votes. Articles that are closely split, like Staryu, or heavily biased, like Ash, I can understand, but many of the others have overwhelming support. Aura-Knight 03:12, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
