Lick (Japanese: したでなめる Tongue Lick) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
Lick inflicts damage and has a 29.7% chance of paralyzing the target. Lick cannot paralyze a target that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.
Generation II
Same as Generation I; however, there is a 30% chance of paralysis instead.

Pokémon
Haunter. Haunter extends its tongue and licks the opponent.
- Used by Ash's Haunter from The Tower of Terror to Haunter Versus Kadabra. Debut.
Lickitung. Lickitung licks the opponent with its long tongue, usually causing paralysis.
- Used by Jessie's Lickitung from Princess vs Princess to ???.
- Used by Morty's Haunter in Ghost to Ghost.
Gengar. Gengar licks the opponent with its tongue.
- Used by a giant Gengar in The Ancient Puzzle of Pokémopolis.
Gastly. Gastly extends its tongue to an incredible length and strikes the opponent with it.
- Used by Captain's Gastly in A Shipful of Shivers.
- Used by Morty's Gastly in Ghost to Ghost.
Kecleon. Kecleon extends its long tongue and licks the opponent.
- Used by in Madison and Alexa's two Kecleon in The Kecleon Caper.
Lickilicky. Lickilicky sticks out its long tongue and licks the opponent.
- Used by Baron Alberto's Lickilicky in The Rise of Darkrai to catch Alice from falling of the edge of a wall.
- Used by Baron Alberto in The Rise of Darkrai when he was transformed into a Lickilicky.
