Starting off merchandise for the Generation II Pokémon Trading Card Game was the Neo Series. This Series did not feature very much English merchandise at the time, with only booster boxes and Theme Decks being released for the four Neo expansions: Neo Genesis, Neo Discovery, Neo Revelation, and Neo Discovery. Neo Revelation is one of two English expansions in the history of the TCG to not have Theme Decks released alongside it. Below is a chronological list of all the items released during the Neo Series of the Trading Card Game.
Ancient Mew playmat and poster
Released around July 2000, the Ancient Mew Playmat and Poster were a set that players could win by taking an Ancient Mew insert card to a local Pokémon TCG League and showing the League runner a card with all four answers being correct.
Neo Genesis Theme Decks
Released on December 16, 2000, Neo Genesis brought with it a pair of Theme Decks, featuring the Dragon Pokémon Kingdra and the Cottonweed Pokémon Jumpluff. Kingdra's Theme Deck, Cold Fusion, features Water-type and Lightning-type Pokémon while Jumpluff's Hotfoot Theme Deck features Grass-type and Fire-type Pokémon. Each Theme Deck came packaged with a metal coin as well as a rulebook, damage counters, and card list.

Neo Discovery Theme Decks
The next Neo expansion, Neo Discovery, was given two feature Theme Decks: Brain Wave and Wallop. The two Theme Decks, made available starting June 1, 2001, feature Espeon and Hitmontop respectively. Brain Wallop, along with Espeon's Psychic-type features Water-type Pokémon. Wallop, on the other hand, features Fighting-type and Grass-type Pokémon. These Theme Decks also include a metal coin, a rulebook, damage counters, and card list.

Neo Destiny Theme Decks
After skipping Theme Decks for the Neo Revelation expansion, on February 28, 2002 Neo Discovery was released along with two additional decks for players and collectors to purchase. Titled Dark and Light, these Theme Decks coincide with the two central themes running through the expansion: Dark Pokémon and Light Pokémon. Dark features Fire-type and Psychic-type Pokémon, with Typhlosion on the front. Light features Azumarill's Water-type in addition to the Fighting-type. These Theme Decks also include a metal coin, a rulebook, damage counters, and card list.
