Sunsteel Strike (Japanese: メテオドライブ Meteor Drive) is a damage-dealing Steel-type move introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature move of Solgaleo and Dusk Mane Necrozma.

In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, it can be upgraded to the special Z-Move Searing Sunraze Smash by Solgaleo or Dusk Mane Necrozma holding Solganium Z.

Effect

Sunsteel Strike inflicts damage, ignoring the target's Ability if it changes the effect of the attack on the target. Abilities that affect the user of the attack, like Pressure, are not ignored. Sunsteel Strike does not ignore the effects of Shadow Shield and Prism Armor. Sunsteel Strike's ability-ignoring effect does not apply if it is used via a move that calls another move.

Description
