Is Pokemon.com down? Or is it my computer?--Goukazaru 20:05, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

No, it was down yesterday, then back up, and now down again. They're probaly doing some work on it or something. File:Ani234MS.gifMERRY File:Ani385MS.gif CHRISTMASFile:Ani225MS.gif 19:21, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Thank you. --Goukazaru 20:05, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

It now apears to be at [1].

Glitch Pokémon and Official Pokémon

There is no real difference between the two. In my opinion, the two should be considered equal!

Okay why?PokeManiac102 03:02, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

AH!!!

NO matter what I click (except links that opens up new windows), It always redirects back to the main page. I can't go to the mailbag, TV and movies, video games...PokeManiac102 01:56, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Try waiting about a minute and try again. Refresh the page and try again if the problem continues to persist. --Shiningpikablu252 02:04, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
That's just a glitch with the website. I can't do so either =( 493OptimatumTalk|02:09 22 Mar 2008

Reason why it's Pokémon.com and not Pokemon.com

When you click the link, the.. oh man, I should be ashamed of forgetting the name of the title page thingy (It pops up on tabs and the browser outside window, yknow? Like right now it says 'Editing Talk:Pokémon.com (comment)'..)-- anyway. It does say Pokémon.com.. I mean, we don't type 'bulbagarden.net' as the pagename for 'Bulbagarden'.. Tina δ281 03:06, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, I could assume they didn't know Alt + 130/0233=é. 493OptimatumTalk|03:08 23 Mar 2008
That, and I don't think you can have a URL (I suppose MediaWiki is an exception) with an odd character like that. I think you can only have (normal)letters, numbers, dashes and underscores. Tina δ281 03:16, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
The é appears as %C3%A9. 493OptimatumTalk|03:21 23 Mar 2008
I would say the reason they don't have Pokémon.com is because that site is occupied by domain squatters. Otherwise I see no reason Nintendo wouldn't have that as either their main site or yet another redirect to the Pokemon.com site. That is just my own guess, though. --Mike | Contrib 09:18, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Dang, he's right. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 09:25, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Not entirely, www.pokemon.com was created on January 8, 1998, where the site using www.pokémon.com as a redirect was created on September 26, 2005. Nintendo chose originally to use the normal e (likely to technical limitations) so some other people scooped up the domain with the accented e sometime after 2005. (I'm unable to check the registry date for www.pokémon.com, technical limitations on the site I found) - Kogoro | Talk to me | 09:32, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

online games

Should the online games for Pokémon.com, before and after the overhaul, have a page? They seem pretty notable, although I think they should all be in one page called "Pokémon.com's online games" as there isn't a lot to write about each. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 23:10, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm more up for a detailed section on the current page. I mean, they're definitely notable, especially while they're still on the website, but idk if they really warrant their own page. --ZestyCactus 00:26, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
I've started something on my sandbox, and it appears to be big enough to be its own page. I haven't even put all of the information yet. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 00:29, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Right, I forgot there were games before the revamp. Okay, then keep at it, we just need a good title. I do like "Pokémon.com online games". --ZestyCactus 00:35, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Should the games be divided up in two sections: before the revamp and after the revamp? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 03:10, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Is this good enough? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 23:56, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah looks good to me. --ZestyCactus 00:05, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
It needed a copyedit, and a bit of clarification in some places, but that's a great effort. Mainspaced as "Pokémon.com online games". —darklordtrom 09:58, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Why do we refer to the website Pokemon.com as Pokémon.com

As above. I pointed my browser to Pokémon.com, and found domain squatters. Remove the accent, and nowhere on the site is the title pokémon.com, at least as far as I could see. The company responsible is "The Pokémon Company", which would not normally be abbreviated to Pokémon.com. My guess is someone went on a rampage replacing all "kem"s on the site with "kém"s regardless of use. Anyone mind if I correct the URLs I find around the place to read the actual web address? Mania 12:11, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Actually, there was proof given up in this talk page's 2nd section that it is, in fact, Pokémon.com. It was put at the URL pokemon.com because not all computers can type the é. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 12:22, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Blank Tooltip

There's a tooltip on the é in Pokémon.com at the beginning of the article, but hovering over it does nothing. What's it supposed to say?--PhantomJunkie 22:02, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

I know it's not my computer, because it shows every other tooltip on the website. Just not this one.--PhantomJunkie 22:04, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
It's supposed to say that the site uses a regular e, but you're right, it's not working.--Pokélova! 22:05, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Fixed it, had something to do with the quotation marks. ~ solaris 22:08, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
