Vine Whip (Japanese: つるのムチ Vine Whip) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I – III
Vine Whip inflicts damage, has no secondary effect, and has 10 PP.
Generation IV
The PP of Vine Whip increases to 15. All other effects are the same.

Pokémon
Bulbasaur. Two vines come out of Bulbasaur's bulb and hit the opponent.
- Used by Ash's Bulbasaur from ??? to ???. Debut
- Used by May's Bulbasaur from ??? to ???.
Venusaur. Several vines come out from under the leaves on its back and hit the opponent.
- Used by several Venusaur in episodes like Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden and Ka Boom with a View.
Chikorita. Two green vines come from its bud necklace and hit the opponent.
- Used by Ash's Chikorita from ??? to ???.
Bayleef. Two green vines come from the plants on its neck and strike the opponent.
- Used by Ash's Bayleef from ??? to ???.
Victreebel. It uses its single vine to strike or ensnare the opponent.
- Used by James's Victreebel from ??? to ???.
Carnivine. Two green vines come out of its neck to strike its opponent.
- Used by James's Carnivine from DP111 to present.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Vine Whip is Ivysaur's Special Up move.
