(Japanese: キュレム Kyurem) is a dual-type Dragon/Ice legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation V.
Kyurem is not known to evolve into or from any Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Kyurem is a grey and blue colored, bipedal Pokémon of indefinable but seemingly draconian basis. Kyurem has a unique blue head and snout and has yellow eyes, has a pair of pointed light bluish horns on its head and a third yellow horn on its skull. Its face has a bit of resemblance to Giratina right down to its jaws. Kyurem's neck is long and gray in color with lines running around its whole body, legs, arms and tail.
Kyurem has two arms, each with its own claw and each arm is jointed together from its blue oddly shaped wings, believed that its used for flying as well as storing cold energy. Each of it's wings as two icicles each. Its legs are somewhat slender unlike Reshiram or Zekrom and its tail has three blue icicle shaped spikes on its tip. It should be noted that on its overworld sprite, the left part of its overall bodyparts is somehow broken and smaller than the right part.
Gender differences
Kyurem is a genderless species.
Special abilities
Kyurem can store powerful cold energy onto it's wings and tail and breathe cold air, but it will also freeze itself in the process. It also has an ability to flash freeze it's surroundings, even fire.

Trivia
- No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Kyurem.
- Also, Kyurem is the only Ice-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V which isn't a pure Ice-type.
- Strangely, unlike Reshiram and Zekrom, Kyurem doesn't have a Level 100 signature unlike its fellow Energy Dragons.
- Kyurem has the highest base stat total of all Ice-type Pokémon, as well as the highest Attack and Special Attack of that type, tied with Mamoswine and Glaceon, respectively.
Origin
Kyurem is mainly based on its gray color, which is somehow opposed to Reshiram and Zekrom's respective colors, black and white, and their concept of Yin and Yang. Being in the "center" of Reshiram's and Zekrom's coloration, it might symbolize neutrality. It might also symbolize wuji, or void, the absence of yin and yang. Appearance wise, like Zekrom, it also seems to be based off a theropod and a European dragon. Its icicles on some parts of its body may reference its type and its tail is maybe based on Cold fusion.
