Ash's Age
Hey! I just found out this! Do you remember the Pokemon short where Ash was celebrating the day he and pikachu first met? he was ten back then! A year has past so Ash must be over eleven years old!! Haaaa! - unsigned comment from Pokefreak (talk • contribs)
- I see. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 10:48, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- I wonder if i should tell someone... To change 10 to 11+. Im new here is there anyway i can do that? i saw somewhere i shouldn't post that but there is no way to prove me wrong! - unsigned comment from Pokefreak (talk • contribs)
- I think that the movies, including the Pikachu mini-movies, aren't considered canon in this sense and so cannot be used as exact information. Sure, we know that he was eleven at that day, but it's impossible to indicate in any other way than "Eleven (as of PK07)", and that doesn't give any information since the shorts cannot be given an exact spot on the anime episode timeline (and the episodes are the core of the anime canon).
- By the way, remember to sign your messages on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 20:48, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Plus, was it mentioned that how many years had passed? If not, "Over eleven" would sound quite vague to me. There is a piece of trivia stating the special meaning of that day on the short's page already, but it doesn't mention anything about how many years had passed (and I haven't watched the short in question for a long time). Your question about MS Sprites
I saw that you asked that in the RC, and TTE told me to link them to Missingno. since its now set up to link to Pokémon articles and unable to link to Pokémon Egg. --PsychicRider T - C 16:55, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Okay... I wonder if Shiningpikablu252 created the page Egg (Pokémon) to overcome this problem, though, so I'll let someone else fix those in the articles :p UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 17:00, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well, putting {{MS|egg|Egg}} works for now. I can ask TTE later if it's OK to have or to change it to Missingno. I do know that ALL Glitches should link to Missingno. for a fact though. --PsychicRider T - C 17:03, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Blue
Not that I want to start a lengthy off-topic discussion, but I was reading your Odds and ends page, and I am curious: Why do you speculate that Blue-as-Gym-Leader will be reimagined in HG/SS as an Earth-type specialist? --WikidSmaht 23:51, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- I just don't like the idea of mixed-type Gym Leader, that's all :P There are already enough mixed-type trainers around (Rival, Red, Lance in a way, maybe even Gold/Soul). UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 10:43, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Monobook
I tried your monobook. I liek it moar than I liek teh Mudkipz. But, just so you know, you can preview them in the same way you can preview edits to articles. — THE TROM — 23:54, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm... if Trom is praising it, maybe I should try it... what does you monobook do, and can I stealzor it? The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 00:21, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know I can preview them, but the preview doesn't show everything you can customize. I cannot make the preview to show the difference between edits table, so I have to try edit it blindly. As for using the theme, it's totally OK to me, though I'd say the theme isn't finished yet, so I'm going to edit it later in the future :] UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 09:53, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- And to answer The Dark Fiddler better: basically my monobook theme is a dark theme with a lot of round, pseudo-3D edges. I also made it to keep the left-hand options (the logo, and the navigation, search and toolbox boxes) to stay always visible. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 10:00, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

- Why, thanks :p Article pruning really sucks and that happens a lot in Wikipedia IMO. I'd remember they were once even trying to merge Red, Blue, Green, FireRed and LeafGreen all into one page. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 20:21, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Um... “once”? That just happened. Would have succeeded if TheChrisD hadn’t gone and done all that research. Of course, I think Notability is important. It keeps the focus and energy on more important topics. However, with Bulbapedia, which has a more limited scope than the Wikipedia, I definitely think there is room for articles at a much lower threshold. --LaprasBoi 03:18, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Edit Wars
As nice as it is to see someone want to keep something an administrator added... Don't edit war over it. Remember that we have talk pages to sort these things out, and we do have admins that you can go to that can stop the arguments. Don't edit war again, kay? Edit war again and you will get blocks for it. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 20:42, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

TRADE
I can give you a TRU Shaymin I got, doesn't appear to be hacked so probably isn't.--Swampert = awesome 16:18, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- Wow, that would be awesome :p What would you like to get in return? As for legendaries, I have a spare Rayquaza, Mewtwo, Manaphy, Kyogre, Lugia and Dialga (one each). UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 04:51, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Now I've got a spare Darkrai (Lv50, Japanese, Master Ball, Newmoon Island) as well :p UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 10:39, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- I would like pretty much anything that's a legendary or rare, preferably high leveled.--Swampert = awesome
- Okay... I can't decide myself :D I think the best ones I could trade away are the Lv100 Groudon I got from GTS, the Lv100 Kyogre and my old Lv100 Colosseum Ho-Oh. Pick one and let's get started :p UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 22:59, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'd like the Groudon please. Also, I just got a level 7 Jirachi from the GTS I could also give you. (Virtually anything would be fine for that, but I'd like anything over level 50.)--Swampert = awesome
- Okay, I can give that Groudon for Shaymin and that Kyogre for Jirachi, is that OK? :p I'm ready to trade right away if it is; my FC is 5198 9698 7938, with player name U.S. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 12:34, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sure that would be fine. However, they're on my Pearl right now, and I'm having troubles with its Wi-Fi. I should be able to get them over to Platinum soon, so I'll tell you when I've done that. My Platinum friend code is 2364 3532 6946, and name is PIMAN. --Swampert = awesome 15:18, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Okay :p There is no need to hurry, since I think we'll have food very soon. I should be back in under an hour :p UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 15:36, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi again, I have a shiny level 100 Deoxys I could give you, completely legit. I'd like either pretty much anything I don't have in my dex (I have all legendaries, and if a final evolution stage, level 100 please). --Swampertrox (bleh) 12:34, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm happy to trade! I can trade for virtually any regular Pokémon. If you don't particularly want legendaries, I could, for example, offer a Lv100 Kabutops or Omastar, both female. Kabutops also knows Ice Beam. How about it? If you have those, please tell me some examples of Pokémon you don't have. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 12:55, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

TCG card pages
The effects are quotes from the cards. They say "1" so we write "1". This is the only time that writing in the numbers instead of words is allowed, and most correct. MaverickNate 16:27, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- This text is the same as in a previously-released card then, right? I changed it because the image on the page is from a Japanese card (thus the text cannot be directly copied from it); if this text is just copied from another card page, then change it back to "1". UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 16:31, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- They are always going to write the numerical values, that card was copied from a different card with that same attack, and the actual card. Just don't change any of those again. MaverickNate 16:35, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Help?
I was trying to use your PokéParty Template (cause it looks so cool!). But it seems the Luxray and the Staraptor Image didn't come out, can you help me out? Thanks a lot!--W1l50n1404 12:18, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Luxray and Staraptor have both gender differences, thus you should add a parameter called "postfix" to your templates to correct the sprite link. Add this line to somewhere inside Luxray's template:
|postfix=_m
- Similarly, add this line somewhere inside Staraptor's template:
|postfix=_f
- That should do the trick. :p Glad to see someone other than me uses the template, thanks for that :) UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 12:27, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Wow thanks dude! You're so cool!--W1l50n1404 10:23, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Um.. Hey, since you're expert on these things.. May I ask one (foolish) question? Is it possible to move an existing template from one website to another website? Example: Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia has a Deck Template which is Bulbagarden doesn't have, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia doesn't have your template (UltimateSephirot/PartyPokeTemplate).Cause I think it's nice to share Pokemon Decks and it is a lot more easier to look(with the Deck Template)! Thanks a lot, bro! --W1l50n1404 11:30, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's theoretically possible. Just go to the desired template page (in this case, User:UltimateSephiroth/PartyPokéTemplate on BP's side), then copy everything the page contains, and paste it on a new page at the other wiki. However, please make sure that you either copy over every other template the template you moved links to OR work around them by replacing the templates in the coding with regular links.
- I believe it is easier to move the deck template from Wikia to Bulbapedia since they use a lot less templates than we here. Conversely, just this one template of mine incorporates seven templates itself (they are
{{P}}
,{{A}}
,{{M}}
,{{Bigic}}
,{{Ic}}
,{{!}}
and User:UltimateSephiroth/No2PKMN), and uses several images from the Archives, making the transfer quite challenging.
- Finally, I believe, due to copyright concerns, that you ask first on the Wikia wiki if they accept you to copy the template here. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 06:14, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I've asked one of the administrator in there. We'll just have to wait for his reply.--W1l50n1404 05:25, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- I've done it.. But I think it's a bit odd..--W1l50n1404 13:07, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

- P.S. Oon keskustellut yhden tyypin kanssa, jolta aika varmasti saan loput kolme puuttuvaa. Revi siitä. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 19:16, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ai oon pahasti hakoteillä tän wikisysteemin kanssa, mutta voi mulsku. Kyllä herrasmieskin murtuu kyyneliin kun tämmöstä viestiä pukkaa heti kun on rekisteröitynyt:
- Thank you, and have a good time editing here
- Nidoran/king/rina/queen♀♂ kaspa. No, jatketaan.
Sprite sizes
Um, your page has a tiny issue... Your sprite sizes are listed wrong for Gen II. The proper sprite sizes, at least the sizes that our esteemed leader has decreed are:
- Gen I - 56x56
- Gen II - 60x60
- Gen III - 64x64
- Gen IV - 80x80
Sadly, cause of the image-heaviness of the page... I can't change where you have Gen II mis-listed at 56x56. Please to be fixing this, as you took over that project. Thanks - Kogoro | Talk to me - 23:45, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know where TTEchidna has taken the Gen II = 60x60 (might be the incorrect Silver sprites), but that is wrong. In GB(C) games, the sprites are built in 8x8 sized blocks. 56x56 equals to exactly 7x7 blocks, 60x60 would have incomplete blocks. Note also that every Gold sprite we have is 56x56 and they all fit. Trust me, 60x60 is wrong. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 05:03, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- I decided to make an image to make it clear once and for all.

Hello
I just randomly found your Foreign Dex Entries page, and I'd like to help. How can I insert Japanese characters? --Swampertrox (bleh) 11:23, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well, if you can make the kana->romaji conversion in your head, then I suggest you install the keyboard layout for Japanese language (should be pretty straightforward in Windows XP and forwards). If you don't, then you should open your Character Map and copy the characters one-by-one, then paste them on the article. I started with the Charmap way and learned to recognize kanas, so now I can use the JP keyboard layout (it's much faster :p) UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 17:44, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

- You have to choose a font that has the Japanese characters first (the dropdown box in the top). If you can see Japanese characters correctly on pages, then you also have at least one font which has those characters (e.g. Arial Unicode MS has them and is shipped with MS Office; there are many more fonts as well). They start at Unicode code U+3041, so they're not the very first characters on the font. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 17:54, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

idk if you saw, but i decided to remove 94, so i transferred the page to your glitch page. -- MAGNEDETH 17:54, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, good to know. I'll finish the glitch page when I have time. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 18:54, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Evacuated glitch articles
Do you mind if I break it up into say 4 articles? If you don't want to use that many userspace pages, I can donate some (I don't use them anyway). It's really too long and the pages are in strange places and often hard to find if a link or image needs to be fixed. Many use images that aren't needed but it is really hard to do anything with it at that size. --SnorlaxMonster 04:36, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, it should be split... though I'd do that only after the list itself has been fixed completely. Currently there is some incorrect table wikicode lying around, which causes the bottom part of the article to go in a random table. Missing Sprite
I noticed that the shiny Togetic sprite for emerald is missing. Someone should fix it. PichuMaster 22:26, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
- Someone will upload that one eventually. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 21:21, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
SpriteDex Help
Hey. After being an active reader of this wiki, I've decided to try and help, since it was hard trying to find something I could do (the wiki seems to be the best-in-shape wiki I've ever read :D). I want to help with the SpriteDex, but I need a bit of help, if you will. I'm trying to fix the nontransparent Crobat (Pokémon) sprite File:Spr 2c 169 s.gif, but it seems to be different than what I'm used to. I open it in GIMP (sort of like Photoshop), but it seems the editing is a bit limited. Its like all the colors are hardly editable. I'm guessing you would know what's wrong. To me, I think the sprite is actually color limited, but if you could clear this up for me, that would be great. ;) Thanks! ***Super!~Nickno 15:29, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Nevermind. I figured it out. :) So, yeah...I'll do some more. :D ***Super!~Nickno 16:53, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Great that you figured it out yourself, as I'm largely unfamiliar with GIMP ^^ I have used it a few times, but found it a lot harder to use than Photoshop or Paint.NET (of which at least the latter doesn't support saving animated GIF, though). Your evacuated glitch article
It has started to become a problem. It now exceeds the 1,000,000 template use limit, and many of the template at the bottom of the page are no longer working. It is causing a lot of bad links to appear on the Wanted Pages, so you need to either get rid of some of the templates on that page, or deal with the information somehow. Splitting up the page into two or three would work as well. Just get it done, if you can. MaverickNate 12:40, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- I see. I unfortunately believe I don't have enough time to work on it right now and, frankly, editing it is ridden by 504 errors both when saving and even when loading the page, so I think the best solution is that I copy the article away to a local file, mark the online page to be deleted and then work on it later locally. I'll comment here again when I've copied it. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 16:27, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Linking to images
Whenever you are linking to an images, simply using [[:File will shove the image onto the wanted pages. The correct method is linking to the Archives image page: [[a:File. Thanks for your time. MaverickNate 12:36, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, okay. I'll keep that in mind. ^^ UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 12:43, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Macrons
For various reasons, we don't typically use macrons in article titles, and thus we don't use them when assuming trademarked names. Please fix the changes and relinks that you have been making. 梅子❀✿ 19:17, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
- edit conflict Oh. Trademarked Pokémon names I understand but not the other ones. But if that's so, then I guess I'll start reverting... UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 19:19, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Unown Sprites
i found a site with your missing Unown sprites: http://git.veekun.com/pokedex.git/tree/HEAD:/pokedex/data/media the bug is that the gen4 and gen5 sprites are not animated --Hanmac 06:44, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Move images for Gen V
Shall I upload them now, or should I wait? I'm all prepared to upload them and get new ones. Turtwig Lover 09:11, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Pokémon Elite 2000
Hold on, are we allowed to borrow them and use them?----Chalkwriter 20:26, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- Essentially it doesn't matter whether they're from some other site or directly ripped since they're the same, but I'd rather suggest one to grab them themselves since "borrowing" doesn't sound that nice and PE2000's sprites have had problems before (most notably, wrong image size for GS sprites).
