Skitty (Japanese: エネコ Eneco) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It evolves into Delcatty when exposed to a Moon Stone.
Biology
Physiology
Skitty are pink feline Pokémon with a stumpy body, big head, and a slender tail with a big pink section that resembles a pin cushion with pins stuck in it. On Skitty's face, however, there is what resembles a lopsided crescent moon marking that is cream in color. This all adds to an image of cuteness. They have slit-like eyes and ears with purple insides and three tufts of fur at the tips.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Skitty, along with Glameow and Purugly, is able to wield the Assist attack, which allows Skitty to use a random attack that's known by any other Pokémon on its trainer's team. Unlike other cat-like Pokémon like Meowth or Glameow, Skitty doesn't scratch or bite and instead slaps with its tail, which allows Skitty to pull off a relatively powerful DoubleSlap or Wake-Up Slap. Like most Template:Type2 Pokémon, Skitty can learn many elemental attacks.
Skitty, along with its evolution, are the only Pokémon to have the Normalize ability.
Behavior
Skitty are fascinated by and will chase anything that moves (a personality trait that is found in "real-world" kittens). Skitty will even chase its own tail. It may also make its tail puff out in battle, along with threatening its foes with a sharp growl. It is said to be difficult to earn its trust.
Habitat
Skitty can be found living in holes in trees in forests.

Trivia
Origin
Skitty is based on a kitten with its tail resembling foxtail grass. However, it's tail also resembles a pin cushion. This may be related to Skitty's skittish behavior, because having pins stuck in it might lead to skittishness.
Name origin
Skitty's name is a combination of skittish and kitty.
Eneco refers to 狗尾草 enokorogusa, foxtail grass, a type of plant that Skitty's tail resembles, and 猫 neko, cat.
In other languages
- German: Eneco
- French: Skitty
- Korean: 에나비 Enabi* / 스키티 Skitty*
- Chinese (Taiwan): 向尾喵 Xiàng Wěi Miāo - 尾 may come from 狗尾草 enokorogusa. Also, 向尾 means to face (its) tail, referring to its behavior in chasing its own tail. 喵 refers to the sound a cat makes.
