Jason Klaczynski after winning the 2008 World Championships

Jason Klaczynski, born October 10, 1985, is the only player of the Pokémon Trading Card Game to ever win the World Championships twice, in 2006 and 2008. In addition, Jason also won the 2000 Tropical Mega Battle in Hawaii at the age of fourteen.

Personal

Jason has also played professional poker for about three years. He is currently studying to be a police officer.

Trivia

  • Mew is Jason's favorite Pokémon, because it "looks cool". Mew was also a key part of his winning deck in 2006, Mewtrick.
  • Jason does not participate in any aspects of Pokémon outside of the TCG. He used to enjoy the games when he was younger, but moved away from them as his schedule tightened.
  • Jason has met his three best friends through the TCG.
