Arti in the anime

Arti debuted in BW018, he first appeared in Pinwheel Forest when Ash and Iris climbed the tallest tree in the forest and were surprised to find Arti in a cocoon like cloak, hanging from the tree. He introduced himself to the gang and showed them his sketches of the forest. Suddenly a Sewaddle appears and takes a fondness to Arti by jumping upon his shoulder, he told the trio that the Sewaddle had been accompanying him through the forest even though it was not his Pokémon.

The next day, Arti along with Ash and his friends discover an ill Patrat and is able to heal it with some medicine. Suddenly Sewaddle is attached to a Deerling and falls into a raging river along with Ash. Arti sends out his Hahakomori which uses String Shot to save them. Sewaddle's leaf on its head is damaged, but Hahakomori fashions it a new one. Later he says his goodbyes to the group.

He is set to appear again in BW022.
