Synopsis

Template:Incomplete synopsis While on the way to Daybreak Town, Ash and friends see a battle between a Chimecho and a Scizor. After the battle, they are introduced to the Air Battle Master, McCann, and his granddaughter. The Scizor turned out to be McCann's and was helping the Chimecho train. After hearing about McCann's strength, Ash decides to have an air battle with him. Ash wanted to test Gliscor's ability and fought a one-on-one battle against Scizor. After a short battle, Scizor was victorious. Then, McCann gives Ash advice to learn how to "read" the wind. That night, Ash couldn't sleep. He couldn't get over his loss. So Ash leaves the house to find Gliscor weeping about its loss. Ash decides to train Gliscor over the night. Dawn wakes up and comes to help Ash train. She gives him some shredded tin foil and they release it into the wind. The tin foil pieces blow with the wind so Gliscor can see what direction the wind is going and follow it. The next morning, Ash challenges McCann again, believing his Gliscor has improved enough. The battle begins and McCann sees great improvement in Gliscor. During the battle, Scizor landed many hits on Gliscor but this time, Gliscor landed a few on Scizor as well. Towards the end of the epic battle, Gliscor learns a new attack, Giga Impact. After an intense shot from Scizor, Gliscor plummets to the ground, losing for a second time. McCann sees Gliscor's potential and suggests Ash to leave Gliscor to stay and train. Gliscor accepts and Ash does as well. Despite his friendship with Ash and his desire to help Ash on his adventures, Gliscor stayed with McCann.
