Nav Bar

Hi! I was just wondering what the language is for your navigation bar? I wanted to have one to but I can't seem the find out how to make one. PLZ REPLY? Shockfisher

My nav bar, like all pages on the wiki, is written in Wikicode. Wikicode involves a fair amount of html as well. Aside from that help page I linked, the best way to figure out how to use it yourself is to try it. Copy the code, remove a bit and preview. Whatever no longer works is what that bit of code does. I would appreciate it if you didn't just copypaste my coding and then save though. I'd rather you figure out how it works and remake it in your own style. Just remember that the page for your nav bar is in your userspace, so the one edit per day limit includes that page - you'll have to wait until the next server day to add the navbar to your main userpage. Questions

2 of 'em-

(1) How do you make your userpage backround bulba color dark? (2) How do you make your userbox so it has [show] and [hide] options? After I learn how to, this will be my final major edit to my u page. And I'll focus 100% on my edits (Before was like 45%.) Thanks twice- ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 20:52, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

 1. Put a table or div that covers the whole page with the style "background: #bulba color dark;". If you need to, copy the coding for the exterior border on my talk page, remove the border bit and add that coding to it.
 2. They userboxes are in a table with the class "expandable" (defaults to closed) or "collapsible" (defaults to open). Each row that should always show as a header for the following hidden bit should also have the expandable/collapsible class. Note that it doesn't work if the row has the class but the table as a whole doesn't, and you can mix-and-match the two in the same table. It still works if the table has expandable but every cell has collapsible, vice versa, or any other combination. Have a fiddle with the coding from my page if my explanation's a bit confusing. That said, I would appreciate if you didn't just copypaste my coding and then save. I'd rather you figure out how it works and add your own flair. Werdnae (talk) 23:41, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
(1) Thanks, it works perfectly, BUT! I have coding for my userbox that I need to use a |} thing on so all of my page isn't stuck in my userbox, and the final product is a thick

that's colored bulba color dark with a dark color border (I meant for the border to happen.) How can I fix it? (2) I'll figure it out. Thanks times two! ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 17:10, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

I assume you're using a table? You can have a table inside a table. Just make sure that all the content for the part of the page is inside a cell of the outer table. If it's not in a cell then it won't work properly. Werdnae (talk) 07:39, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for the late update. I gave up for now. I'll keep working on the expandable thing, but I need a cheat sheet or something. I would just look on wikipedia but I can't go on that. Also, I think a "bad grammar" template would be great. Draft:

I think this template would be helpful because: One- It would let grammar and spelling freaks like myself flock to these pages and beautify them, and Two- It adds an alternative to Template:Rewording and Template: Cleanup. If you dislike the simplicity I will either try to "fancy it up" or wait eight years, go to college, take a class in computer programming, and try then. Or you'll do it. Thanks- ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 23:25, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

I've run it by a couple of other admins, and we feel that we don't really need either that or the reword one. If it's something simple, it can just be fixed when it's noticed - it's as much work to put on the template it as it is to fix. If it's extensive it probably needs a general cleanup too. IMO, Cleanup should be used where there's poor grammar, a reword is needed or it needs reformatting. Werdnae (talk) 10:24, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Ok, then. So much for that idea. But I need help again for something- I was looking at navs for ideas for my own, and I saw yours. But it was covered with "..." Wuzzat? 2. One last question- I have Another page, with a bluetable stolen from MAGNEDETH, and I have no idea what class="c" and class="l" are. Thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks! ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 13:07, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
The tag puts things in Small Caps. The classes are defined here for your future reference. The classes l and c make the text left and center aligned respectively. Werdnae (talk) 05:17, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks a zillion! ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 15:12, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
One more thing- I am working on an article, List of Legendary Pokémon, but my template doesn't work. It needs extra coding taken from the template itself to work. Can you tell me how to fix this? Thank you! ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 21:49, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Your template is only the rows. It doesn't have the header in it, (otherwise the rows would break). You need to open the table and put in the headers on the page itself. Basically, the template is telling it to put rows into a table which you haven't made exist on the page. Werdnae (talk) 21:58, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
How do you make a header? Do I make a page called "User:Focus58/LOLPh" and write {| align="center" style="background: #arceus color light; border: 2px solid #arceus color;10px" |- | {| border=1 width="100%" align="center" class="sortable" style="background: #FFFFFF; border:1px solid #arceus color light; border-collapse:collapse;" |- style="background:#arceus color light" ! # ! Sprite ! Name ! Introduced</noinclude>? Or something else? Thanks, ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 23:05, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
resetting indent If it's just going to be used on one page there's no point in a header template. Just put that code (without the noinclude tags) above the rest of the table. Werdnae (talk) 23:52, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
O.K. Works fine, but on the the template the "switch|493S=493" ect. ect. is a fail. What needs to work? How do I fix? Thanks a ton, ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 13:28, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
You're using the parameter for the name (parameter 2) to control the switcher, when the results are all expecting the parameter for the ndex number (parameter 1). Werdnae (talk) 05:13, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
I don't get it... ♣♣ Ƒǿҫὑṩ ❺❽ ♣♣ 16:41, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
The way it's set up, when you put on the page, the switcher is set to use the second parameter to determine the outcome. So it takes "Shaymin" and checks whether it matches any of the predetermined inputs. Since it doesn't, it defaults to displaying the first parameter (in this case 492S). You need to change that so that the switcher is using parameter 1, so it will use "492S" in that example. Werdnae (talk) 20:53, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

My Sig

Thank You so much for the signature help. I have one question though; how can a make a box to put my images in like for example that box that pokemon sprites are in on their own pages? PokePrincess 16:12, 19 June 2011 (UTC)--PokePrincess 16:12, 19 June 2011 (UTC) PokePrincess

Thanks

The coding for the current sprite box can be found here, but when you actually include the coding for the subtemplates as well it's remarkably complex because it has to take into account a lot of different scenarios. If you simply want to make a coloured box to put sprites in, then you'd be better off using a simple table. Table basics can be found on Bulbapedia:Wikicode, and I'd suggest looking at the coding for the table section for the background and border coding. Most of that coding is pretty self-explanatory, especially when combined with what the page content. Also, just a note that there's a restriction on when you can edit your userpage - there's a minimum time limit and a minimum mainspace edit limit. It's great to see you're working towards the mainspace edit limit, if you haven't already reached it (I don't know the exact numbers), But you may need to wait a couple of weeks before it will let you edit it. Further details on that can be found on the Userspace policy.
Also, could I get you to change your sig code in your preferences to PokePrincess please? We need it to actually have a link. If you would like to further customise your sig feel free, just ask if you need help. Werdnae (talk) 22:02, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

I am terribly sorry about my adding of trivia. I will punish myself and never do again. Besides what I am. How long will it be before I can edit my mainspace. PokePrincess 00:09, 24 June 2011 (UTC)--PokePrincess 00:09, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

The mainspace can be edited by anyone. The userspace has a time and edit limit, the exact number and length of which I don't know. If Special:Preferences says you're a member of autoconfirmed, you can edit it. Once you can, remember the one-edit-per-day limit though. If you want to test out how templates work, they work just as well in previews as they do when the page is saved, so there's no need to save the page. Werdnae (talk) 00:15, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

Just dropping this here for you

For your opinions and such to replace the current two pages. I just merged them together with a cool table too. Kogs mentioned something else being added later, but it escapes me right now but I can find the log. Cheers. --P S Yライダー 16:47, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Looking good so far Psy. Definitely agree with merging the two articles, maybe even just replacing the MD section on Rank with that. Werdnae (talk) 19:51, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Projects

How do you join a project? Thanks.

User Page

How do I know when my user page has been added? Will I get an e-mail?

Donyor, Origin Form 08:02, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

There's no notification that pops up. You'll have to either try editing it or look at your preferences occasionally. If the information in your preferences says that you're in the autoconfirmed usergroup, you can edit it. Werdnae (talk) 08:16, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Logging Out

Why am I always being logged out of Bulbapedia automatically.

Donyor, Origin Form 08:49, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Make sure you're checking the "keep me logged in button". Assuming you are, it's probably just a glitch. It happens occasionally, and there isn't really anything we can do about it short term. Our server-side people are considering reconfiguring the setup, which will hopefully fix that bug and the session loss errors. For now, all you can really do is make sure you're checking the box and that your cookies are enabled (Maybe try clearing them too) and just waiting until it goes back to normal. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Werdnae (talk) 09:07, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Coral Sea

I just did a major edit on the Coral Sea page. I added a lot of detail (maybe too much) and I think it isn't a stub anymore. Also wondering should I tell admins this kind of stuff?

Donyor, Origin Form 09:44, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

It's no longer a stub, so you can remove the stub tags. When you do, you'll need to rewrite the stuff you added - Information in articles should always be in third person (the player, he, she, they) not second person (you). The difference is that third person is encyclopedic, while second person is more conversational - like a walkthrough. And for most articles, if you are sure it is no longer a stub, you don't need to ask to remove the tag. If it is a featured article, or you're unsure, you can ask any staff member. Werdnae (talk) 05:09, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Werd

I've made some modifications to Template:Trainerentry/Pokémon and I was wondering what you thought. Extremely small changes would also have to be made to Template:Trainerentry if it was to be implemented but I could help out with that too.--MisterE13 03:49, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

The concept looks good, the current system's just a quick addon. Could I get you to make a demonstration usage on the talk page of your template? Werdnae (talk) 12:32, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Z.Z. Flyer

The Z.Z. Flyer page is a stub but I looked at it and it's pretty long. Could you check and make sure that wasn't a mistake?

Donyor, Origin Form 09:51, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

You're correct, it's not a stub any more. It looks to me like that largest section does need a reword and breaking into paragraphs, so I've left the cleanup tag on for now. That can be removed once that's done though. Thanks for looking to improve the stubs. Werdnae (talk) 10:10, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

my Speculation page

You said I'd have to make mainspace edits first. I don't get what's to edit (I avoid Pokémon Black and White like the plague, and I don't watch the Japanese anime). What can I contribute?--Darknesslover5000 23:52, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

There's a whole category of Pages needing attention. Many of the ones in the Articles needing improvement subcategory simply need rewording. If you watch the English anime, there are still plenty of pages than need a full sysopsis written. There is also always some Stubs which can be improved. Werdnae (talk) 03:15, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Alright, and on the note of the english anime, I do watch it, but I don't memorize the episodes and the only anime site I know, animefreak.tv is rather useless to watch them on--Darknesslover5000 04:04, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Optimizing PNG Images

Hey, I've taken an interest in helping with the archives, one of the things I think could be useful would be if I uploaded new revisions of PNG files that have been optimized for the smallest file size (with no to very little quality difference), such as converting RGB PNG's to Indexed Color PNG's (custom palletes). Anime images are very indexed-color friendly, their size can be signifigantly shrunk with little, if no impact on quality. Is this something worth doing, and would it be alright if I performed such optimizations? It may help with bandwidth/space issues. GetOutOfBox 23:21, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

I'll bring it up with some of the other Archives staff members. While obviously smaller images will improve loading times and result in reduced bandwidth requirements, I don't think that's the main cause of the loading issues. For the record, space isn't (at least currently) an issue - every revision of every page is saved, even deleted ones. Werdnae (talk) 23:42, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Sure. The difference is that with many anime images, especially character images, there are only a few distinct colors used. Hence rather than encoding them in a PNG that uses the entire RGB colorspace, one could simply include palette containing the few colors the image uses. The difference can be very large, with no visual drop. I could give you a few links to comparisons if you'd like (I'll upload them on an external website for now). Obviously bandwidth isn't a large issue (I'm guessing server hardware is more often than not), but anything that could save bulbapedia some bandwidth would be helpful, especially for larger images. Wonder Mail Codes

Is there any reason not to make a page with wonder mail codes on it? - unsigned comment from Donyor (talkcontribs)

Please sign your comments with four tildes. Are there not far too many wondermail codes for that page to be practical? Werdnae (talk) 04:09, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Link Template

I want to make a new link template, but I don't know how. I looked on the article about it but it wasn't any help. Also how do you know how to make certain templates for your userpage.

Donyor, Origin Form 05:29, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

What do you want to make the link template for? Templates for the userspace are mostly just tables Use the preview button and removing code to figure out the table coding is the first step. Then, anything in three braces is a parameter (e.g. {default} is a parameter called "test" which defaults to "default") Parameters can be used to alter the outcome over different pages. If the parameter name is a number, then it doesn't need to be named when the template is used, as long as it is that number in the template, counting only unnamed parameters. (That's probably really confusing. Have a look at existing templates to get a better idea.) Also, remember that templates for the userspace should be made in the userspace, so they count towards your limit. They only get moved to the templatespace if they become widely used. Werdnae (talk) 10:49, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Errrrr, is there a link to the template space for userspace templates, I don't know much wikicode.

Donyor, Origin Form 14:35, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

If you want to link to the templatespace, you can use the template template to easily format it like a template. If you want to use a template in the userspace, it works exactly as in the mainspace (just be careful not to include yourself in mainspace categories). Pages in the userspace can be included as templates by putting the full page name in braces, e.g. to include my nav template which is at the top of this page, I use . If you're using a subpage as a template, then you can exclude the page it's included on from the call. e.g. on my userpage, the same template is called by Hope that helped. Feel free to ask more if you need to. Werdnae (talk) 19:59, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Axew

Axew and its evolutionary family are the only pure dragon evolutionary family where all the members are pure dragon. Shouldn't that be in the Trivia?

Donyor, Origin Form 08:48, 22 July 2011 (UTC) Make sure you mention that it's only for multi-member families, otherwise Druddigon says hi. It'd probably be best to use the wording from the similar trivia point already on Klink's page. Werdnae (talk) 10:49, 22 July 2011 (UTC) But I'm not supposed to edit Trivia, right?

Donyor, Origin Form 14:36, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

At the moment. But for consistency it's fine. Just note in the edit summary that I gave you permission to add it, so that it doesn't get reverted. The idea with the rule is to help reduce the pointless additions to trivia while the server's throwing tantrums. I see no reason to remove the good, notable additions to trivia sections just because they are trivia. Werdnae (talk) 19:59, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Talk Page

How does the talk page health thing work? Does it stay fixed or go up/down? Also how do you archive talk page stuff?

Donyor, Origin Form 03:22, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

The talk page health bar is a calculation based on the size of the page. The health goes down as the page increases in size, reaching empty when the page reaches 100kB. It's rather complicated, but the coding for mine is here if you want to reference it. To archive your talk page, use the "move" button at the top of the page to move it to a new name in your user talk space (e.g. User talk:Donyor/Archive 1) Then change the redirect that's left behind to a link to the archive. (The link to a list of my talk page archives is attached to the health bar at the top of the page) Werdnae (talk) 10:08, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
How did yours on the top of this page get so compact?

Donyor, Origin Form 10:33, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

There's very little padding on the cells in the table, and the text is set to be a certain size. If it's really big then you've probably got padding or spacing on the cells or something extra inside the cells. Werdnae (talk) 10:45, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
I mean the coding in the link you gave me is link 20 sentences, your s at the top of the page is only like 1. - unsigned comment from Donyor (talkcontribs)
Allow me to reply, Werd. He has only one line of coding because he's calling that page as a template (User:Werdnae/Archive), if you use these: and , you can have its entire content without having to clutter the target page up, and even arrange information to make it more automatized! (See the Pokémon articles, see the infoboxes? Those are templates made for easier use, if you checked the source code of the infobox, you'd be very confused, so that's what templates would be for, to manage information neatlier). Truthseeker4449 00:52, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Those articles aren't stubs. Stubs are very short. If they're that long they should really be marked as incomplete instead if they are missing information. You're welcome to remove those tags. Werdnae (talk) 01:15, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Look at the top of the page. Right at the top, next to your username. There's a clock. It's UTC. That's what's used. Not local time. I'm guessing you're in the UK based on your time. Not on the breeding template in generation IV. Every single one of those Pokemon that learns it via TM can learn it from Skarmory in the same way (assuming they can breed). Refer to point three. Because that's inherently coded into the game as TM move behaviour, there's no need to repeat the TM table again in the breeding section. Werdnae (talk) 22:57, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Sunkern], FR/LG, HG/SS and japanese games) back sprites are on Archives, just under different name. Emerald (and at least Platinum onward) has animated back sprites. While eg. Pidgey (yes, PIDGEY), is just moving, Blaziken sprite "receives" red color in Emerald Marked +-+-+ 10:45, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

I don't blame you, that does happen. Generally a quick reminder on a staff member's talk page should be enough. That reminds me, I'll preview a few more tests of that Jp Blue addition to the availability template and put that into use. Werdnae (talk) 07:57, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Actually, could you do this edit request for me? Its to hide the O and S that currently appear next to Giratina and Shaymin's dex numbers in the Mystery Dungeon section of the Version exclusives page. Cheers. Vuvuzela2010 08:04, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Cheers. Could you also add the Japanese Blue to Template:Catch/entry1, I can add the location info from here. Vuvuzela2010 08:39, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
I'll look into it, but I'll need to look closer at how the template works as a whole. It may require more than just the one change to make it work properly, so it'll be a day or two before it's ready. Werdnae (talk) 09:43, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

My edit

Why did you revert my edit on BW40? That's a perfectly good synopsis that could have been altered when more info is released! --Skarm (tAlk) 00:08, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Your talk page edit indicated it was from Serebii, at least partly. Serebii does not like people stealing his information. Any and all information taken from Serebii is considered theft and will be removed on sight. If you want to write a synopsis, watch the episode yourself and write it properly. Don't just take it from someone else. Werdnae (talk) 00:14, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Yes, but I am a member of Serebii and asked him...he hasn't replied, and the episode, I don't think has even aired yet! But sorry, I won't take anything from Serebii anymore, although I hardly see how someone can steal words... --Skarm (tAlk) 00:16, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Well, if he hasn't replied, how can you be sure that he approves? --☆ヨッシ の世界☆ 00:17, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Sorted. Anime images should only be animated if the move/ability is rather difficult to describe with still images. And even then, needs to be done in such a way that people who can only see the still images can still see something. This move, a single still is more than adequate to portray it, so I've changed it back to a still image. Werdnae (talk) 04:06, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Leaf

You know what, I give up. Nobody can listen to reason. I'm leaving not coming back etc... I' sure you have heard it before. But before I do hear me out.

Leaf's name. Where did it come from? She was not in the anime at all. If I'm wrong (and I'm 99% positive I'm not) what episode? Her manga counterpart was Green. (Blue in Japan) Her name is never officially stated in the games Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green, which are the only games that she makes an appearance. Leaf isn't THE default name, but simply one of the many that she can have if the player did not enter a name and is playing Leaf Green. The only place where she is known as Leaf in an official source is, as a dummy trainer inside the game. (Probably to test battles or as a place holder) Furthermore this knowledge was originally obtained through illegal methods, by opening up the Rom in some program.

She has no official name. If the name is based on internal data, then it's important to list that. If it isn't based on internal data and she has no official name, Then its a fan name, so it's important to list that. Why do you refuse to acknowledge this? After all this IS an online encyclopedia specializing in Pokemon, is it not? One would think that this would be important trivia. VoodooChild 21:33, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

If you wanted to be heard out, then you should have commented on the talk page. Edit wars, or reverting reverts, are bad, and accomplish nothing. Constantly re-saving your version of the page won't make it stay like that. It'll just get it protected, so that it can be discussed on the talk page. By protecting it, I was not saying that I have an opinion on the matter, just that you need to stop edit warring and discuss it on the talk page. Werdnae (talk) 00:21, 16 November 2011 (UTC)

For replies, you can set your watchlist to email you when pages are changed. The captcha thing on the forums is currently, I believe, a visual puzzle that must be solved. The idea being that it can't be solved by a computer, reducing the potential for spambots to sign up. If it's not completed properly, the system thinks that you aren't a person and prevents the account from being created. As it's image-based, it can take a while to show up on slow connections. Robo Groudon

Hi! I'm not sure how to find the talk page. I haven't been to bulbapedia very long. An admin didn't remove my edit. I was trying to get it into Trivia. Should I have just edited it without saying edit and I'm not making this up? I found something false on bulbapedia not too long ago about Cooltrainer Cida and Equin being battled more than once. How come I can't battle them again? - unsigned comment from MichaelXD (talkcontribs)

The talk page can be found by clicking the "Discussion" tab at the top of the page. You can also get there by navigating to Talk:Pagename (in this case, Talk:Robo Groudon). And yes, you should have added it simply explaining how to do it. The articles here are part of an encyclopedia, and so need to be written like one, not like a forums post. That was pretty much all that was wrong with your edit. (If you're going to say "I'm not making this up", it does make us consider the possibility that you are.) If you think you can rewrite it in a style that matches the rest of the page, you're welcome to add it back. Don't worry about proof or anything. Werdnae (talk) 04:48, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Pokémon League Naming System

Hey Werdnae, since you’re the head of games I’m coming to you with an issue I’ve noticed. I noticed that there is an inconsistency in the naming of Pokémon Leagues. It’s understandable that the Kanto and Johto leagues are named the Indigo league, but the page for the Pokémon league in Hoenn is named Hoenn League, while Sinnoh and Unova are named “Pokémon Leauge (Sinnoh/Unova). Why are these two named differently from Hoenn? I think in order to keep consistency Hoenn should be moved to “Pokémon League (Hoenn)” or if there’s another solution maybe something else can be worked out. Any Thoughts? Thanks! --Pokemaster97 04:59, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

The Sinnoh and Unova ones are at that location because that's what they are called in-game. Likewise the Indigo league. Hoenn league. . . I don't know. Jo checked and a woman just outside Hoenn's Victory road says "The POKéMON LEAGUE is only a short distance after the VICTORY ROAD. If you've come this far, what choice do you have but to keep going?". So I'd say bring it up on the talk page, and see if anyone can provide a reason it should stay there. If not, we can move it to "Pokémon League (Hoenn)". Werdnae (talk) 07:37, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
Um, you two seem to be confused. The Sinnoh and Unova counterparts to Indigo League and Hoenn League are Sinnoh League and Unova League, while the Kanto (Indigo) and Hoenn counterparts to Pokémon League (Sinnoh) and Pokémon League (Unova) are Indigo Plateau and Ever Grande City. The first group is the organizations (so includes the Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and Champion), the second group is the name of the place where the Elite Four and Champion reside (or where the Pokémon League tournament is held in the anime, which is why Mt. Silver is with them on the navigation template). --SnorlaxMonster 09:23, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
Oh I see what you are saying, the only other organizational page I saw was Hoenn's. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Sorry for trouble. --Pokemaster97 15:45, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
And there we go. Thanks SM. Werdnae (talk) 07:10, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Help me Reword it and please restore my last glitch

Ok can you help me reword it? Ability Changing Glitch This glitch is common in Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness. When a Pokemon is capable of having more than one ability, such as Golduck's Cloud Nine which can be tested or proven by using combinations such as Rain Dance + Thunder, Sunny Day + Solarbeam, or Hail + Blizzard, etc. and then during the weather effects Thunder or Blizzard misses or Solarbeam has to charge up even though it's sunny. K.O. the Pokemon and then get it from Miror B. Go to the PC and check the Pokemon's stats and it now has a 50% chance of changing its ability. It is possible now that the Golduck can have Damp even it appeared to have Cloud Nine in the first battle. Another way of activating the glitch is to lose to a trainer that has a Shadow Pokemon that is capable of having more than one ability. Example, to trigger this glitch on Greevil enter the battle with his Moltres and Rhydon without an Electric move. If you use an Electric move, it will automatically reveal its ability and the glitch will fail. Save before you fight him the second time and you would have already snagged Lugia. Get into a battle and use an Electric attack on Moltres. Reset and then attempt to use an Electric type on Moltres again and have Rhydon block it with Lightningrod. This glitch has been confirmed on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0rEkxYGEuY

[edit]EXP Glitch This glitch only works on Pokemon Colosseum. When your opponent is down to their last Pokemon, have one Pokemon use Perish Song while the other uses something to burn, Will-o-wisp, or poison, Toxic, to poison the enemy. Then DO NOT faint the Pokemon. If the Pokemon faints to any of your attacks, the glitch will fail. If it faints to the Toxic, your Pokemon will gain EXP Points. Then when the countdown of Perish Song starts, you'll gain the same amount of EXP Points you earned as for the EXP Points gained for the Pokemon that was defeated. EXP Points will be awarded twice to both Pokemon no matter which side they're on, left or right. This glitch was removed in Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness but was in Colosseum for unknown reasons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41_bnx_Zs_Q

If you feel like these don't follow the code of conduct, then I'm sorry but I post everything in my best grammar. I'm tired of people telling me I don't use good grammar because that is nonimportant and untrue. I am 15. You in general means the player, since I don't know what you name yourselves but respectively, what words should I use that still make sense? Anyway my article about the EXP Share glitch in the 4th gen game was removed. Could you JAs restore it please? I'm pretty sure I discovered an EXP Share glitch where your Pokemon would gain one less EXP Point if it was holding EXP Share and it defeated a Pokemon in battle that you know how many EXP Points it wages. (MichaelXD 23:01, 1 January 2012 (UTC))

I don't have time to do the full reword myself. If I did, I'd just have done it. For the final paragraph, it should go something like this:
"In Pokémon Colosseum, an opponent's last Pokémon may give experience twice if it faints due to damage from a status effect while also affected by Perish Song. This was fixed in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness."
The idea is that rather than using "you" as a substitute for naming the player, you write it in such a way that you don't need to refer to the player in that manner at at all.
For the Experience Share "glitch", all rounding goes downwards. If the experience rewarded would have been odd, (e.g. 101) then half of that gives in a number ending in .5 (in the example, 50.5). That is then rounded down (50), meaning that a total of one experience point is lost. It's not a glitch, it's how the calculation works. That's why it was removed from the glitch page.
I don't care how old you are. You're still expected to follow the proper style of an encyclopedia when you add stuff here. Werdnae (talk) 23:19, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Ok, I was saying that I didn't know how to word things. Was I not supposed to state how to perform the glitch but write the article about how the glitch operates? I thought that the Pokemon gaining one less EXP Point due to EXP Share was a glitch. When I use 2 Pokemon in double battle I usually think the one not battling with it earns the sum of the EXP Points earned while the Lucky Egg brings extra EXP Points. It's the same as having a traded Pokemon without Lucky Egg. I wasn't making an excuse. I just have never edited things for the public before so I don't know how anything should be worded around here. I have made an edit to include the game. Also there is a glitch on Pokemon XD. One is the ability changing glitch and another is the platform glitch. I'll try to get rid of I and you if that is causing you a pain. Again, I'm sorry. (MichaelXD 15:06, 15 January 2012 (UTC))

fiorepkmn Template

Instead of the Poké Assist linking to a type, wouldn't it make more sense to link it to the Poké Assist page at the respective section?--Chalkwriter 20:04, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Good idea. I've also changed the corresponding Almia template. I haven't changed the Oblivia template, as assists in Guardian Signs only use the assist type to determine the effectiveness of the assist, effect is dependent on the Pokémon. Werdnae (talk) 20:38, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Location Images

Those images I tagged as unsatisfactory are fan-made. Look at them again. They are not in game screenshots. Pictures that are fan made are considered unsatisfactory and should be replaced. ZMT123 03:18, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Never mind. You're right. They are composites. Some articles with screenshots like that have the unsatisfactory template on so I thought they were. ZMT123 03:21, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Error in EXP Points Group Fast & Medium Fast

Hi. I would like to inform that there seems to be an error in the EXP Points group. For my favorite video game Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness I wrote which EXP group every Pokemon was in. That includes Rapidash, the Shadow Pokemon that is snagged from Cipher Peon Kolest on Citadark Isle and I checked the amount of experience points my Ponyta has at level 28 in Pokemon Pearl and how many she has left to level 29. Hence I am raising her to level 30. When I checked my chart on Microsoft Excel, she seemed to be in the actual Fast group. Not the Medium fast group. You should be surprised that I just don't start randomly editing anywhere without any proof. Also I didn't know how to send a message before but no one removed my edit about battling Chobin. Only about the genders and abilities for anime Pokemon which I was warned for. I stopped because I didn't want to make whoever ran it angry. Ponyta and Rapidash have 1,000,000 at level 100, not 800,000. (MichaelXD 13:41, 15 January 2012 (UTC))

I just checked, and my Rapidash in White is in the Medium Fast group (216000 EXP at level 60). Can you perhaps use Rare Candies to get some level data (you don't need to save after using them; you can just reset and you won't lose any)? Also, I think your last statement s backwards. At level 100, we do say Ponyta and Rapidash have 1,000,000 EXP; if it were in the Fast group, it would have 800,000. --SnorlaxMonster 15:45, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

I did train Rapidash to level 60 once for the Orre Colosseum and I'm looking at my chart I got from here. Is the table wrong or something? I only have one Rare Candy and I'll have to see again either when I get Rapidash in Pearl or battle a Cipher Peon on Citadark Isle again who has a Rapidash and then purify it. I didn't catch Rapidash in my last game because I rushed and was trying to get a glitch to work that only operates on Citadark Isle. (MichaelXD 00:12, 16 January 2012 (UTC))

Edit, ok my table is wrong perhaps. I got in the mix when I wrote my table. So you're right and I'm wrong. I thought Medium Fast was right next to Erratic. (MichaelXD 00:17, 16 January 2012 (UTC))

Route Maps

Hello, Werdnae. I saw some edits that you and ZMT123 made regarding route maps. You undid his edits saying that those composite images were ok. However, I was told on the forums some time ago that those pictures should be replaced because they were self made and are actually not from the game. Here was where I asked about this issue. Have things changed? --HoennMaster 17:10, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

The tile-composite images are accurate representations of the in-game maps and are quite high quality, they're not bad images and don't need to be tagged as such. While they should eventually be replaced with proper ripped maps, they're certainly not top priority due to fair quality & proper representation. Now, grainy scanned maps; those are bad and should be tagged for immediate replacement with high quality maps. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 08:46, 18 January 2012 (UTC)

Re:Names of types in other languages

So at least the purpose of the tables is clear (and also it is the purpose they should have - something I'm not always sure about in our PokéWiki). Mystery Dungeon Move Template

A little while ago, I asked how to get the template onto the move pages under the main template.
