  • Though the English translation of the games normally uses American English spelling, ViceGrip uses the Commonwealth English spelling of the word which is rendered in American English as "vise".
  • Despite being normal type, no pokemon (Besides smeargle) can learn vicegrip, and thus none can get Stab.
