A very appealing move, but after using this move, the user is more easily startled.

Light of Ruin (Japanese: はめつのひかり Light of Ruin) is a damage-dealing Fairy-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature move of the Eternal Flower Floette.

Effect

Light of Ruin deals damage and causes the user to receive recoil damage equal to ⅓ of the damage done to the target.

Description

Games Description
Drawing power from the Eternal Flower, the user fires a powerful beam of light. This also damages the user quite a lot.

  • Light of Ruin has the highest base power of all Fairy-type moves.
  • Light of Ruin is the only special move that inflicts recoil damage (excluding Volt Tackle in Generation III).
    • It is also the only Fairy-type move that inflicts recoil damage.
