Major Problem! When I was reverting vandalized move the Redirect Page Jigglypuff (anime) was accidentally created and I now can't move this article to its right name! Some mod must delete the mentioned redirect page and move this article to right name!

It was a real accident! I don't know how it happened.

Jigglypuff's Gender

Guys, I think Jigglypuff is a girl since girls get mad when being ignored while they're singing(most of the time). Another evidence, the microphone and "I want to be a singing star" attitude. You forgot to put your name.Mariel 10:26, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, we wait for an actual confirmation. That doesn't really prove that it's a girl... --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 11:00, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Questions

1) Is it in the pewter Pokémon center in HG/SS? And 2) will it put the following Pokémon to sleep?--Mtn otter We are the Void 16:18, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Unova

Would it be bad if I mentioned that Jigglypuff's appearance in Unova is very unlikely, considering the region's distance from all the others?--Derenol232 15:04, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes, it would.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 15:0. 7, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
It's not needed anway because we would have to do it for the other 400 something pokemon who don't appear. --Pokemaster97 15:08, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
I'm talking about this specific Jigglypuff. Not all Pokémon have a significant recurring individual that had been a recurring gag in the series--Derenol232 15:11, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
No the JigglyPuff left in Hoenn. It hasen't been shown in like 5 or 6 years. --Pokemaster97 15:13, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
You never know what the writers can do. After all, were we expecting DP specials after the series ended?--Derenol232 15:15, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
I highly doubt that because Jigglypuff found a Whimsper to listen to it's music without falling asleep so it stop following the group. He wasn't shown it at all in Sinnoh. And there's no way for it to get there. --Pokemaster97 15:19, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Exactly my point--Derenol232 15:20, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
It's not needed though. It already says that it's probably out of the main cast. It's kind of redundant to say the unova comment. --Pokemaster97 15:25, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Shiny?

The OP for this post I found on Tumblr has a point. Though I bet this is just because of palette availability at the time. (Plus, we've seen shots of them having blue eyes instead of teal.) Regardless, thoughts? FerreTrip (talk) 04:26, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

Shiny Pokémon weren't introduced until Gen II. glikglak 04:32, 12 March 2014 (UTC)
Additionally, there's a number of official Jigglypuff species images that also have green eyes, despite none of them being implied as Shiny. It's a rather common inconsistency with the species, nothing special with this specific Jigglypuff. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 04:36, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

Appearence in Sun & Moon being removed

There is literal proof she will appear in the Sun & Moon series in the episode that somebody wrote down so why was it removed for being speculation and why was the page locked by Force Fire when they were correct?

https://twitter.com/SerebiiNet/status/905738622413963264 - unsigned comment from OctopusSandwich (talkcontribs)

No one is denying its appearance. It's on the page, it is just hidden because we don't put upcoming appearances for Pokémon in their articles. The page is locked to prevent editing warring from people unhiding it, rehiding it, etc. --HoennMaster 01:16, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
Standard procedure. The next two episodes are highly anticipated and a protection would prevent users from jumping the gun, especially new users.--ForceFire 03:56, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

Fairy-type?

Now that Jigglypuff has appeared in the anime after the Fairy-type retcon, should this page be updated to reflect this? Or are we still operating under the strange assumption that the anime would acknowledge only some of these retcons and not others? (For what it's worth in that regard, it's already been acknowledged for Wigglytuff.) Hyper Turtwig (talk) 18:54, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Please see Talk:Misty's Togetic#Fairy type. FWIW, it's not about the species being acknowledged as retconned; it's about the individual. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:02, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

SM045's "Dare da?"

SM045's "Dare da?" featuring a Jigglypuff
Alolan Open House!'s "Dare da?" featuring Mimey

Why is this Jigglypuff changed to being part-Fairy? The "Dare da?" for SM045 showed a Jigglypuff, not this Jigglypuff. Unlike the "Dare da?" for Alolan Open House! that showed Mimey in the outfit it wore in that episode, the Jigglypuff that appeared in SM045's "Dare da?" is not holding a microphone/marker. Since this Jigglypuff is always seen with that on hand, that means the Jigglypuff on the "Dare da?" is not this one. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 23:24, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

It was the only one in the episode. What else would it be referring to?--Rahl (talk) 23:30, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
The species as a whole as of Generation VI? Also, please see Talk:Jigglypuff (anime)#Fairy-type?. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 06:48, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
