GX Ultra Shiny (Japanese: ハイクラスパックGXウルトラシャイニーHigh Class Pack: GX Ultra Shiny) is a special Japanese sub-set released during the Sun & Moon Era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It was the twelfth sub-set to be released and is the second to be considered an enhancement of the eighth main expansion, Super-Burst Impact, featuring the collection symbol "SM8b". The sub-set contains a large number of reprinted Pokémon-GX, appearing as both regular and Shiny Pokémon.
Information
The High Class Pack: GX Ultra Shiny is set to include at least 240 cards and will be released in Japan on November 2, 2018. It continues the trend established with preceding sub-sets The Best of XY and GX Battle Boost, also classified as High Class Packs, by featuring a large amount of reprinted cards, with particular focus on Pokémon-GX. Several of the Pokémon-GX included in the sub-set feature artwork previously exclusive to promotional cards available outside Japan in various items of merchandise. A number of these Pokémon-GX also feature Shiny counterparts utilizing their prior Full Art print artwork and come in a new "SSR" rarity. All non-rare cards do not have a rarity symbol.
To accommodate the large number of rare cards, each pack contains 10 cards instead of the usual 5, with each pack containing 1 guaranteed Pokémon-GX card. Each booster box is also guaranteed to contain at least 1 Shiny Pokémon-GX card.
