The Battle Arena Decks—Mega Charizard X vs. Mega Blastoise are a pair of Theme Decks released for the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the Sun & Moon Series. They were released on September 21, 2018.
Description
Mega Charizard X is ready to heat up the battlefield/Mega Blastoise is ready to blast away all opposition in the new Pokémon TCG: Battle Arena Deck! This 60-card deck is ready to play right away, with powerful cards and winning strategies worthy of an ace Trainer. Each deck is led by an exceptional Mega Evolution Pokémon-EX and includes 11 foil cards. Let the battle begin!
Information
Unlike previous Battle Arena Decks, the Mega Charizard X and Mega Blastoise Decks were released as separate products. Each 60-card deck comes with a deck box and coin featuring the showcased Pokémon, a two-player playmat and rulesheet, a sheet of damage counters and markers, a Quick Guide with a rundown of key cards in the two decks, and a code card to unlock a digital version of it in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.
Combined, the Battle Arena Decks contain exclusive prints of 10 different cards:
The pair also include re-releases of Non Holofoil XY Delphox (×2) from the Battle Arena Decks: Black Kyurem vs. White Kyurem, Non Holofoil BREAKthrough Zoroark (×1) from the Night Striker Theme Deck, Non Holofoil Empoleon (×2) from the Shadows Theme Deck, and XY Promo Karen (×1), Non Holofoil BREAKthrough Octillery (×2), and ©2013 Sheen Holofoil prints of both Fire Energy and Water Energy from the Battle Arena Decks: Rayquaza vs. Keldeo.
