Mr.Mime (cont.)

I couldn't continue to talk because you have archived it. The point I want to say or hope that I don't understand is, Ash caught Mr.Mime in It's Mr.Mime Time, which is a fully evolved Pokémon. That means he caught it prior to Beedrill, but why didn't you add Mr.Mime instead of Beedrill in the trivia, and also it is 1031 episodes earlier. - unsigned comment from Dhiwakar (talkcontribs)

Why would before be notable? It isn't the last fully evolved Pokémon before Dragonite, and it's not a member of a three-stage family. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:02, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

I understand it now and thank you FinnishPokéFan92 Dhiwakar (talk) 02:58, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

New page

Why can't I create new pages,or why does it say you are denied permission to create a new page? - unsigned comment from Dhiwakar (talkcontribs)

Like I said before, please talk to an admin about things that trouble you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 04:32, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

Thank you FinnishPokéFan92. --Dhiwakar (talk) 14:51, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

Not sure why you couldn't answer this question, Finnish, when you know the answer to it. In any case, Dhiwakar, you can't create new pages because you are not autoconfirmed. To be autoconfirmed, you have to be a user for some time and make a certain number of edits.--ForceFire 15:22, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
My apologies, FF. I guess I just figured he should ask from a person whose job it basically is to answer to any questions new users may have. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:25, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

Notability requirement?

Hi, you reverted my edit on the Pokemon HQ Lab page for not being notable enough.

I checked the wiki rules for notability requirements and the only rule I see on notability is this one: "All English and Japanese Pokémon canon material is notable and relevant."

From this page: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbapedia:Notability_requirements

As this is an encyclopedia, I feel it could be useful - perhaps not to every user, but to some - to have a comprehensive list of Trainers and their Pokemon's movesets. The next battle in the game is the first Chobin battle, and that one Pokemon and one move has its own block there. Later on in the Pokemon HQ Lab page, the battle with Spy Naps is listed along with his Shadow Teddiursa's moves, even though he can never actually use any of them. So, I don't understand where the notability requirement comes in, and it seems inconsistent - is there a policy I'm not aware of? I'm new here.ReturnofVojtoRX (talk) 08:54, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

He isn't notable enough to receive a detailed list of movesets and Abilities. That's what I meant. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:52, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
Yes, I understood that, but my question is: why not? Or to put it another way, what's the harm in adding more detailed information on Trainer encounters? As I noted above, there are other Trainers from this game that are given a detailed list of moves and abilities when they arguably don't need them either. I don't see why it has to be removed for not being notable enough if it's factual information about the games and it's something players might encounter or find useful. ReturnofVojtoRX (talk) 10:58, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
Bulbapedia doesn't see it necessary for adding detailed party info for less notable Trainers. It would easily end up taking too much space if they were added for everyone. I'm pretty sure all party templates we have on location articles are all for Trainers who are notable in some way. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:44, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
Too much space on the wiki servers or too much space on the page? You have two subpages on your user page relating to your Pokemon teams which use those templates several dozen times, so I'm assuming it's not a wiki space issue. Does more detailed information need to be posted on a subpage for the article, if it's added? --ReturnofVojtoRX (talk) 11:56, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
Too much space on the page. Would be inconvenient. Important Trainers are usually ones who have a notable role in the story or are major bosses, like your rivals, Gym Leaders, or villainous team leaders. I recommend you contact an admin, because that's about the best explanation I can come up with at the moment. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:00, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
I've done so, it seems prudent to get a proper understanding of how to add this information before I continue doing so. Thanks for the response. --ReturnofVojtoRX (talk) 12:04, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
No problem. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:44, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Template:Drinks

I don't think the drinks are really all that related. Fresh Water, Soda Pop, and Lemonade are related and all can be purchased from vending machines, but the other three really aren't. MooMoo Milk at least can be purchased from vending machines in Orre, but otherwise isn't that similar. The only thing Tea has in common with them is that it replaces the role of the vending machine drinks for satisfying the Saffron guards. Berry Juice just has nothing in common with the others at all.

As a result, personally I'd rather just delete the template entirely and leave "See also" links between the three vending machine drinks. If you would like to make a case for why there should be navigation between them though, please go ahead. --SnorlaxMonster 09:45, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Sounds sensible to me. I think I'll make the template exclusive to the vending machine drinks. How does that sound? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:52, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
My one concern with doing that is that I would want to put the "Vending Machine drinks" as the nav header, but then MooMoo Milk would also be in that category, but only in Colosseum and XD. Which is why I think just "See also" links rather than a formal Nav template would be better. --SnorlaxMonster 11:04, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
Hmmm... Yeah. You're probably right. Could you delete the template for me? Also, should I add all the drinks there, or Tea and maybe also Berry Juice? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:44, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
Just the three main vending machine drinks should have "See also" links to each other, I think. --SnorlaxMonster 12:03, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Itemlist/2

Please don't use {{Itemlist/2}} (or 3) for cases like Gym rewards where you receive both at once. That's not what it's meant for and having different uses in different places will only be confusing.

The template is only meant for items that can randomly change. I.e., where you only get one item at a time, and the next day or something you may get something else (and where it's not convenient to separate those out to their own lists like Fishing items or something). Tiddlywinks (talk) 21:53, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

To me, it seems perfectly usable outside of randomly changing items too. And Chosen seems to agree with me. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 21:57, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
You missed a big point. It's meant for one thing. Using it for something completely opposite is terribly confusing. Please do not. Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:04, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
I'm sorry. I just tried to improvise. And to be honest, I still fail to see what's wrong with this way of using it. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:05, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
(Sorry, I didn't think you necessarily wanted a response.) We can look at Axew's Eye for a fairly simple example.
In the uses you were putting it to, when you talk to one person, you get multiple items at once, like a TM and a uniform. If someone sees that and then comes to Axew's Eye, they would think that, oh, looks like if I look around the northwest shore, I can get a Pearl, Big Pearl, AND Pearl String (and a second Pearl and Big Pearl).
But, no, I made the template so that we could much more easily link those items in the Wild Area that can regenerate as different things for the same spot (like a Pearl OR a Big Pearl OR a Pearl String).
Do you see that these uses are completely opposite? Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:46, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
Kinda. I guess I'll be okay with this now. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:59, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

Sword/Shield plot

If you'd like, you can adapt the plot summary you posted here for the main Pokémon Sword and Shield page. --Abcboy (talk) 23:05, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea. I may very well do so. Thanks! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 05:49, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

"I don't think these description are overly necessary."

Hi, I made a description about Bea and her Pokémon on her page. Why was it not approved? I mean, her anime category is extremely reduced, and the episode showed a lot of her personality and her Pokémon. Isn't the goal to have a wiki with complete and (if) possible detailed information about each element of the franchise? The greatest merit of Twilight Wings is precisely that he is giving depth to some characters. Well, I don't know, you've been in this for longer than me. --Hilaru Wazana (talk) 16:58, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

I readded the character section with a new description. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:01, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
Oh, Ok. Thanks. :D --Hilaru Wazana (talk) 20:11, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

Do not revert my edits with no reason

If you're going to revert my edits, give a good reason for doing so. Randomly reverting edits without so much as giving an edit reason is uncivil behavior. Besides, there was nothing wrong with the edits—so why did you do that? --Dada (talk) 16:46, 29 February 2020 (UTC)

I see you also reverted this change I made without reason. If you believe I was wrong, say so in the edit description. However in this case the reason why I made this edit is because the wallbreaking only occurs in the English dub and not in the Japanese original. So if you're going to move it back to "trivia" the least you could do is make it say "in the English dub,". --Dada (talk) 16:49, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
The first one was because characters of the day aren't listed as debuts, splitting the double character link was unnecessary, and the last sentence didn't need to be split away from the big paragraph. The second one was because fourth wall breaks are listed in the trivia section, even if they're dub only. Also, be aware that you can edit the whole page at once instead of just one section at a time. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:23, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
Here's the problem: when you removed all my edits, without edit reason or anything, you seem to have deleted more than you intended, judging on your message here. That's why I edit sections at a time instead of the whole page: because it allows me to explain the purpose of each edit.
Next time, use an edit reason instead of treating me like I'm a spambot whose content can just be thrown out like garbage. It's only a basic courtesy towards your fellow editors, all of whom are here in our spare time. I understand that this is a wiki and everything we write here is going to be edited by others, but giving a reason for it is only a basic thing. And not to mention, if you don't do that, the only thing that will happen is I'll edit it back in because I can't understand the reason why you removed it.
The things you did not acknowledge:
1) your revert on DP104. Can you at least just admit that you should've added "in the dub only" to that sentence, and that reverting it with no edit reason and no message either on my talk page or on the talk page of the article is incredibly suspicious?
2) you removed my addition regarding the conversation Delia has with Ash, and you removed my addition on line 129 regarding the title card. That's why you should not carelessly be reverting entire pages. You removed content that you didn't intend to remove. You apparently did that just because one sentence was split off from the rest. Did you not notice you removed those other things too?
3) I also removed a line in the errors section because it wasn't an error. You didn't mention any reason for removing it just now, so I'm assuming you also put that back in without realizing it by reverting the whole page.
It's difficult to assume good faith when you're just removing entire edits with apparently not having any reason for it. Please don't do it again and be careful next time, and if you're going to revert anything, make sure it's for a valid reason. I would absolutely do the same thing for you, and I don't think I'm being unreasonable here by asking that you do the same thing. --Dada (talk) 14:33, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
I didn't mean to treat you as a spambot. If I came off like that to you, I apologize, it wasn't my intention. And more often than not, I do acknowledge the reason for my edit reversions in the edit summary. Sorry for not doing that to your edits. It's also not unusual here at Bulbapedia to remove entire big edits, even if one of the done edits happened to be correct. I don't want us to be treat each other as unpleasant people, so I apologize for upsetting you, and, from now on, I'll try being more clear about why I alter or remove your edits, if I ever do. PS. Your post is really impressive. My hat's off to your dedication. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:36, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
I apologize for coming on so strongly to you. I understand that some of my edits were not correct and that you were fixing the page by removing them. I'll keep that in mind from now on. I've also been told that section editing is dispreferred to full page editing if there are multiple edits to make, so I'll refrain from doing that as well. Thanks for understanding my view on this. --Dada (talk) 15:36, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
I'm glad we were able to resolve this peacefully. You're welcome. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:39, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

Morty's Gengar

Can you tell me what's missing on that Morty's Gengar page? I take the opportunity and ask what's missing from the Red's Charizard page too. They put a huge banner to say that the page is wrong, but they do not edit or say what is missing. I'm trying to fix it, but I don't see anything different from other pages there.Hikaru Wazana (talk) 21:12, 07 March 2020 (UTC)

Cleanup does not equal incomplete. It simply means the text quality in the page needs improving, not that it would necessarily be missing anything. That's what the incomplete template is for. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 21:32, 7 March 2020 (UTC)

"This article is for the anime tournaments only."

Pokémon League Conference Ok, Where do I put information about manga tournaments? I was going to try to set up a table like the one for the leagues that happened there.-- Hikaru Wazana (talk19:15, 01 April 2020 (UTC)

I don't personally think we need those. Maybe ask an admin? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:27, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
I thought you were an adm. Okay, who is the person who has to talk about it?-- Hikaru Wazana (talk22:44, 01 April 2020 (UTC)
You can recognize admins from the symbols visible at "Recent Changes". And I don't think there's a designated admin to talk about this. Like I said earlier, personally, I don't this tournament info is needed on Bulbapedia, but you can always create it in a user subpage for yourself and ask an admin like Force Fire if it's worth mainspacing. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 06:01, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Changing links

The reason why I am changing the link to the video is because that original link you added back is actually my Facebook. I know that I have other links to my facebook with additional information which I believe to be important, but I feel a little more comfortable if the links were less from my facebook and more towards YouTube as I don't want to attract random strangers trying to add me. The video of Eric Stuart giving his answer is still on that video in the link I added, and I allowed the maker of the video to use it in his video that is actually meant to go in dept and is educational.TheGreenBeetle (talk) 15:53, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

Understood. Sorry for the trouble. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:07, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

Ash Team Page

Make your page however you want, but Charizard was caught before Squirtle and in the battle against Drake Charizard used Flamethrower, Ember, Seismic Toss, and Dragon Rage. If you want to keep it inconsistent/inaccurate I won't touch it.--Rahl (talk) 16:59, 26 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing those out! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:09, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
Sure thing!--Rahl (talk) 17:11, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
Whoops! I didn't notice your edits and accidentally reversed some of them! Sorry! Feel free to fix them! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:09, 26 April 2020 (UTC)

Galar League Logo Picture SM128

I have a screenshot of that one Easter egg I mentioned in SM128. How can I show it to you? Last time I went to add a picture to the Bulbagarden Archives as I wasn't a confirmed user or something. How do I change that if at all? BlazeFire (talk) 19:34, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

You can also post the image on postimage.org. You can post images there without the need to register in or anything. Just put it there and send me the link. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:56, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

I forget about Imgur! https://imgur.com/a/gAaA2W0 But still, how do you get you account confirmed and able to add pictures to the master gallary if need be? BlazeFire (talk) 00:29, 10 May 2020 (UTC) Just a follow up; I'm quite confident this was intended to be easter egg. Both the symbol on the bag and the official Galar League symbol depict a Pokeball with a red top and a blue bottom at the same slant. It was also shown subtly and more importantly, on the first episode of a league arc that first aired in Japan during the SwSh hype season. BlazeFire (talk) 00:34, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

Just checking in... BlazeFire (talk) 00:27, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
I don't think that's a reference. To me, it just looks like a generic Poké Ball symbol. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:32, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Edits

Hello !!

Have you planned on removing all my edits ? Cause it's been a few years I've been editing. You're not an admin to do so ?! Jeangabin666 (talk) 11:52, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Of course I'm not removing all of your edits. I'm also just editing some. I just think you're reaching it with some of your ideas of placing anime characters into different Trainer classes. Also, "Fishing rod" should be a disambiguation page instead of a redirect page. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:56, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Not sure if I did this 'talk' thing right. It's my first time, I am new to editing on Bulbapedia. Although, it is indeed inside the Hulbury Stadium that you acquire the TM and not out in Hulbury. I don't see any reference to the TM or Whirlpool in the cities page but it does have a section in the Hulbury page for the Hulbury Stadium and I thought it would be a good idea to make a reference to the TM and/or whirlpool in that section of the page, what do you think? Not everyone explores the building pages either. Cloud9Skywalker (talk) 03:42, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

The building article also has a lot more info that's not visible in the city page. Also, for future talk page edits: if you want to start a new topic, click the + at the top of the page, next to the "Edit" button. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 05:09, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Still waiting for Sync Pairs edit approvation

Well... I'm still waiting someone say something about the edit I suggested, becuase right now there is a lot of space wasted for the same sync pairs ecc... and to me that is a pretty good, with order and everything--Zarxiel94 (talk) 09:41, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

I'm not an admin. I was never part of this approval thing to begin with. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:42, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
Ups... who I can contact then?--Zarxiel94 (talk) 09:53, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
Some admin. Force Fire or Abcboy, maybe. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:55, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Galar Route 9

You really cleaned it up! So, I wanted to thank-you for that! It looks way better, but I'm just curious why did you decide to go with the ocean color for the items located in Circhester Bay and not the surfing color like how it shows when hunting Pokémon? Also, I did a complete sweep of the entire route so I think that covers all the items and makes the section of the article complete.--Cloud9Skywalker (talk) 07:05, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

You're welcome! And I made it that color to match the color of the Circhester Bay Trainer lost. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:10, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

JN024

Yamper was unhidden because it appeared, so just make sure you at least delete it if you absolutely no it's not there. Just because you didn't see it, it doesn't mean it did not appear, thanks. Playerking95 (talk) 10:43, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

I thought I left it unhidden. Must've been some sort of mistake while I tried to get my edit through in the flurry of edits. Sorry. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:49, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

Riolu

Why did you delete what I said? If I need to edit, please infomred me and ill try to fix it - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)

I explained it in my edit summary. The info was already in the above section. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:19, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Linking

You know that I prefer [[typeless]] over {{DL|Type|typeless}} kind of linking (and have reasons for that), and you also know that I decided not to care too much and not change them, especially if you put them (or you should know). I don't dislike people disagreeing (or even fail to discuss it), but I dislike people totally disregarding my opinion, so please stop these kinds of edits. Thank you. Nescientist (talk) 20:57, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

My apologies. I just prefer section links over redirect links. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:30, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Do note that I never disagreed with your edit in general. I can perfectly accept the change from ??? to typeless. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:32, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Sorry to butt in here, but I just wanted to point out that it is Bulbapedia policy to use link templates like that, rather than using redirects. This is to keep with consistency. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 11:15, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Nowhere does it mandate that redirects never be used; as evident from the sections linked above, in fact it requires linking redirects under specific circumstances. Nescientist (talk) 17:57, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Blake

Hey. Just wanted to know where you got that info that Blake was disguised as Colress. If you could let me know that would be great. Thanks.--Reinhartmax (talk) 23:14, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

It was added to the PS548 article by people who knew what that the round's dialogue said. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:30, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Gym Trainers.

Hi, FinnishPokeFan92, I noticed that you removed the incomplete tag from the Gym Trainers Appearances Page. I added it because I noticed that the Motostoke Gym Trainers weren't added. I'm not very good at Bulbapedia as I just started, but am I missing something. Please respond if I was wrong. Thank you, Chespinfavor (talk) 23:07, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

Since Motostoke Gym Trainers aren't battled against, they don't have VS models. In the future, be sure to specify what is missing when using that template. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 06:45, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Ok. Thanks!Chespinfavor (talk) 00:29, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
No problem. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:24, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

Inferences

I apologize if the recent addition to the inference policy for the moves has caused confusion. Some things that I want to point out: All the moves that are to be inferred, those with or without additional context, have to be discussed with the staff first and then can be added to the moves pages, if the staff themselves haven't added already. This is to avoid edit warring, potential disputes or confusion like in Goh's Raichu's case. Another thing is the exceptions to inferences for non-verbal moves that are very difficult to identify, even with the additional context present, which I failed to address initially. That would include moves like Thunder Shock, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Discharge, or when it's between Volt Tackle and Wild Charge, or Stone Edge and Rock Blast etc. You get the gist. In the recent episode's case, while we do have some context present, which would be Ash commanding Pikachu to use the move and other characters lining up to contribute, it is definitely not enough to confirm that the others were using the exact same move. The animation of such moves did/does not help in differentiating them, as they look way too identical to identify. Because of this ambiguity, different users may perceive these occurrences differently, which may potentially lead to edit warring or disputes, which was not the intention when the policy in question was added. We'll try to rephrase it, so that it's not too vague and more direct. That's all I wanted to clarify. I hope that you have a good day! AdilTalk page 17:05, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

I understand. I also apologise for my reaction. There's one other move issue that I think has more evidence to support it, but maybe I should discuss the about it over on your talk page? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:07, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
If it's a move that has unique animation, then that page's talk page would be appropriate. If it just involves inference, then we can discuss it here. It's fine by me. AdilTalk page 17:10, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
It's about Goh's Scorbunny's Double Kick, which, I think, falls under the same category as Shaymin's Aromatherapy. It was first called out in its capture episode, but I think that the move was already used in the previous episode. Specifically, in the scene that Goh even recalls himself in a flashback right before telling Scorbunny to use Double Kick for the first time. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:26, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
Noted. I'll let you know when we have a decision. AdilTalk page 07:56, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I'll be waiting. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:58, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
Based on the events that occurred in that particular episode, we have come to the conclusion that JN004 should be Double Kick's debut episode. The flashback followed by Goh recalling the move and commanding makes it abundantly clear. Also, it's the only kick-based/Fighting-type move that Scorbunny/Raboot has used from JN004 till the recent episode (Ember involves fire and kicking a rock, which is different). One thing that I want to make absolutely clear is that the decision has been made purely based on the specific scenario that played out in the anime, and I want to emphasize that without the mini flashback, it would have been very difficult to acknowledge this without ambiguity as Double Kick. The level at which it learns the move in the games plays no role in this particular case. That being said, please feel free to make the relevant changes concerning this when you get free time. AdilTalk page 09:33, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much. And I perfectly understand that levels don't matter in the anime. I will start doing the edits right away. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:48, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
Good to know, and thanks. AdilTalk page 09:52, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
You're welcome. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:07, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

Bulbasaur's Dig

From EP225

Instead, Bulbasaur finds itself in the rolling boulder's path. Time appears to slow down and everyone watches the unfolding scene in horror. An almighty smash sound is heard, and Bulbasaur reflects on its life. Ash awakens from a daytime nap and looks into the sky to see a cloud that reminds him of his Bulbasaur. Meanwhile, Oak and Tracey manage to push the rock into the growing lake. They scour the area, but Bulbasaur is nowhere to be seen. Oak calls out. Everyone gasps when Bulbasaur emerges from the dirt, seemingly unscathed. It jumps up the escarpment and shakes itself clean of the muck. The Grass-types are thrilled to have their hero and throw Bulbasaur into the air several times as a show of gratitude. Tracey marvels that Bulbasaur cannot usually learn the move Dig, but Oak notes that in times of need, it is possible to call upon power never known to it previously.

So yeah, it's not really an error. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 21:16, 5 September 2020 (UTC)

Oak means that Bulbasaur basically willed itself to learning a move it can't usually learn. So yes. It is an error. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:33, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
But the fact that he acknowledged it proves it's not an error on the writer's part. By your logic, Redesect's Blaze Kick & Extremespeed are errors. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 01:50, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
They aren't because those moves are legitimately available for the Red Genesect. Dig has never been legitimately available for Bulbasaur. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:29, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

Ash's Staraptor

I'm just taking a bit of a proactive stance here to ask that you not edit Ash's Staraptor's page further in relation to its gender. Feel free to discuss it on the talk page. Thanks! Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:16, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

I wasn't planning to, but thanks for the heads-up! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 07:09, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Unique animations

This is simply not your judgement to make about Dragon Breath. Part of the reason we added anime moves explicitly to our policies was to avoid potential edit wars. A move can only be added if it was identified or is on Bulbapedia:List of moves with unique animations.

I.e., you cannot add a move just because you think it's unique.

If you think a move is unique and it's not on that page, start a section on its talk page. Once it's accepted and added, then you can add it in the mainspace. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:08, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Shiny question

When was the word Shiny used between Ash vs. Conway and the raid battle at the ruins? I've seen every episode between those two involving a Shiny and they're always called alternate, different, strange, or off color. BlazeFire (talk) 01:29, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

The term Shiny was also used at least once during Black & White. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:18, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Whoops. Failed to see the signature not going there. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:01, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

Please don't revert my edit on Voltorb. Now it's between me and ForceFire, you have no idea what his problem is.--Rocket Grunt 18:01, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Page request

Hi, I'm new here and I actually wanna request if it's alright to make a page here on Bulbapedia on Ryan Reynolds. I'm a big fan of him I got like a great picture for him if it's approved. NoobMaster96 (talk) 19:56, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

I'm not an administrator, so I unfortunately can't give you permission. I recommend you ask Force Fire (talkcontribs) instead. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:00, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

Erika English VA

Hey, sorry I forgot to provide a source for Erika’s VA, it’s https://twitter.com/ItsXanthor/status/1167264741506469890. Getini (talk) 14:47, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Good. Feel free to readd it and put that source in the edit description. Also, remember that you can edit the whole page in one go. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:04, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
Nevermind. Thanks for providing the source, nevertheless. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:06, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Image removal?

Hi,

I'd noticed that you had deleted the image of the Celebi shrine from the Lake of Life page. The main reason the image wasn't added to the Arborville page was because the shrine was in the forest and not the town, and the forest, while unnamed, is very much associated with the lake. I'd like the image re-added for balance on the page. Regards, PardescanSlowbro (talk) 23:45, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

I had removed it because it was an image of the shrine from the past. The image from the present would suit better. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 01:53, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

pokemon anime moves page and asking if you are willing to help out with these pages

I am going to have an anime move page(s) for my userspace especially since I believe lost track of how many times Pikachu used Thunderbolt, Meowth using Scratch and/or Fury Swipes, all instances where a move is used in the main series anime and which moves appear in each anime. If you are willing to help out with these pages, then you can help out as I will need much help as possible for these pages. Please reply when you can!Ctc1017 (talk) 01:21, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

Good luck with that. But I don't think I have the time or focus to pull off something like that. Sorry. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 01:24, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
Also, please be aware that talk page section titles don't need to be overly detailed, as long as the post itself conveys the message. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 01:25, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

Galar Fossils

In the anime it was clearly showed that the skull is used to create Artcovish so this is the Fossilized Fish. Only because it was mixed in the game doesn't mean it is mixed in the anime. [1] [2] --Altruis でんき 18:50, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Actually, it does. The Fossils used to restore Dracovish in the anime match the sprites of the Fossils used to restore one in the games. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:55, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
And this is not true! You can't create Arctovish from Fossilized Drake + Fossilized Dino, like they showed in the anime. So this means that this Skull is a Fossilized Fish and not a Fossilized Drake. I created this picture to show what I mean. [3] --Altruis でんき 19:33, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
Pardon me, but were the fossils named in the episode? Because it feels kinda weird to keep the anime's fossils matching with the game's fossils by their sprite, when even the trivia for the fossilized drake and fish suggest that their sprites were mixed (why they didn't fix it in the either of the dlc patches is even more perplexing).Animaltamer7 (talk) 00:40, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
They weren't named, but based on the simulated combinations and the combinations we got shown, we can see the appearances logically match the names of the fossils, instead of the mix-ups we got in the games. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:30, 18 January 2021 (UTC)

Yamper

I noticed you reverted my edit regarding Yamper and I just wanted to explain my reasoning. The page for Yamper lists it as Professor Cerise's Yamper, and I saw that Dedenne is referred to as Clemont's Dedenne in the character section of articles despite mostly accompanying Bonnie. I'm totally fine with keeping it as "Yamper (Chloe's)", but I was wondering if "Chloe's" should be changed to "Professor Cerise's" to prevent confusion regarding its owner, similarly to how Dedenne is listed. I was actually debating posting here to ask you about it, and, thinking about it now, I should have probably contacted you first before making the edit. Apologies for any inconveniences this causes. -SpinyShell (talk) 19:01, 20 January 2021 (UTC)

Anime debuts

Please refer to the manual of style in regards to anime debuts. The Pokemon must make a physical appearance in order for it to count as a debut. Fantasies do not count since it is not the actual Pokemon in the flesh. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:28, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

My apologies. Must've forgotten this. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:20, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Response

If Charizard Chill takes place before Pokémon the Movie 2000, then why does the timeline suggest otherwise? Think you can fix it if the placement you told me is the correct one? --Baldwin17 (talk) 19:16, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

I dunno. You could watch it after the movie if that makes it easier for you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:20, 3 February 2021 (UTC)

List of Battle Points

Dear FinnishPokéFan92. I gave some addition info about the list of BPs in Battle Tower, Battle Palace and Battle Pike. 1) there is difference between "normal" BPs and "BPs as a bonus" 2) a trainer can battle the arena master again and again - so the maximum of BP is not 15, but 25 BP. 3) The term "regular battles" does not fit, because a battle with the arena master is regular, too. .. and some other points.

All additional information have been deleted completely without any explanation by you. Did I violate a rule not to publish some details in-deep? May be, we can discuss this topic on my talk page - see my suggestion there. Best regards Gengara (talk) 18:02, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Dear FinnishPokéFan92. Thanks for your interest in BP-investigation of Emerald. I think that my questions (see above) are answered and closed. Let's hope that some higher admins are relaxed enough to accept such investigation. Wish you all the best! Gengara (talk) 11:36, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Regarding Route Descriptions

Hi, I've noticed the description of Alola Route 3 I added was reverted with the summary "bad links." I've confirmed the links I used worked properly before submitting and I was wondering if there was something I was doing wrong (such as not conforming to an editing style), in which case I will try to fix.

Also this is off topic but I apologize for the incorrect item info on Seaward Cave. I will double check any edits in the future.

Thanks in advance. Coronium (talk) 16:36, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

After going through a few pages on editing style I've realized I didn't use the proper templates for certain links such as using [[Rockruff (Pokémon)|Rockruff]] instead of {{p|Rockruff}}. I apologize for the inconvenience, I will keep the templates in mind when using links in future edits. Coronium (talk) 16:48, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
Thank you. That's all I needed to hear. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:55, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Finnish translations of World Coronation Series classes?

Even if the translations of Normal Class, Great Class, Ultra Class, and Master Class from other languages aren't listed in the World Coronation Series articles, can you tell the Finnish translations of those classes? CAJH (talk) 10:42, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

I'd gladly tell them if I knew them. Unfortunately, however, I don't have access to the episode where they are mentioned in. Sorry. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:16, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
I can't watch them either. I don't have Netflix, and the episodes aren't released in Pokémon TV or Viaplay. CAJH (talk) 14:06, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Too bad. We'll either have to find someone who has access to Finnish Netflix, or wait until the episodes come out somewhere where they can be watched for free. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:25, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Steel Beam - Recoil damage

So about that - I think Steel Beam has all rights to be a Recoil-dealing move because Struggle (a Recoil dealing move) functions the same way - deals 1/4 (yeah, a bit less than 1/2, so what?) of user's maximum HP; Shadow Rush deals 1/16 of maximum HP. Steel Beam is the same - at least I don't see any evidence it isn't. Itan (talk) 11:55, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

When a recoil move is used, a message of the Pokémon taking recoil damage is displayed. With Steel Beam, that does not occur. It's similar to Mind Blown in that regard: drawback damage that isn't recoil. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:59, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Aha, I see. Okay, that's logical, I was confused by another user's edit. I'll put description simillar to the Mind Blown (not affected by Rock Head and Reckless and such) on the page, that should be useful. Itan (talk) 12:15, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
If you do, please be sure to also clarify that it's because those moves aren't recoil moves. Although, I'm doubtful of the necessity of said edits in the first place. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:30, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Well, Mind Blown has them. I think only two non-recoil and -crash moves deal damage to the user, being Steel Beam and Mind Blown. (Are there any, besides them?) And Mind Blown has a lot more common with Explosion, so it's more self-explanatory. (Also MB's page doesn't mention "because it's not a recoil move" but I'll try to create description that does on SB). Itan (talk) 12:40, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Sounds valid enough. Go ahead. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:48, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

Anime series sections

Hey, I created a proposal of adding series sections in the articles for Pokémon species. For instance, adding "Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl", "Pokémon the Series: Black & White", etc. sections in Pikachu.

This is being discussed here: Bulbapedia talk:Editor's Hub#Pokémon pages with anime series sections. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 13:34, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

Seems like a massive project. Thank you for informing me. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:12, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree. No problem. :) --Daniel Carrero (talk) 15:45, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

Edits

The notice of your edit onJN059 was unclear. Could you clear things up for me? - unsigned comment from GalarChamp Cinderace (talkcontribs)

The synopsis you write isn't up to Bulbapedia's standards, so I've hidden it until I feel like cleaning it up. Also, a few hints for editing talk pages: 1) Don't forget to sign your posts using the "signature" button at the top of the editing screen. 2) When creating a new section, simply press the "+" mark next to the "Edit" text. I hope those cleared things up for you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:42, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

About your removal of my edits

Each and every one of the statements that I added to the Hoenn balls' articles come straight up from Pokémon RSE, as I mentioned in my edits.

Premier Ball: https://github.com/pret/pokeemerald/blob/master/data/maps/RustboroCity_Flat2_2F/scripts.inc#L29

Repeat and Timer Balls: https://github.com/pret/pokeemerald/blob/master/data/maps/RustboroCity_DevonCorp_3F/scripts.inc#L302

Dive and Net Balls: https://github.com/pret/pokeemerald/blob/master/data/maps/MossdeepCity_Mart/scripts.inc#L53

Nest Ball: https://github.com/pret/pokeemerald/blob/master/data/maps/VerdanturfTown_Mart/scripts.inc#L55

Pokeemerald is a project that faithfully decompiles Pokémon Emerald. Its aim is to generate a matching ROM, i.e. a ROM that 100% matches Game Freak's Pokémon Emerald down to its very SHA-1. Of course, you're free to boot up Pokémon Emerald and check these dialogues In Game by yourself.

I would like to hear your reasoning for why statements made in marts are not to be believed.

Thanks for your correction in the Repeat and Timer Balls' articles though. I didn't notice the info was already mentioned at the top. Lunos (talk) 00:16, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

I don't think the Nest Ball just being sold in one place really counts as confirmation of its origin point being there, but the Net and Dive Balls I can agree on. Also, a little tip: you can use "<br>" to change the row of your text much easier. And you don't really need to put so much new rows into a talk post anyway. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:47, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
The dialogue on the Nest Ball doesn't work as a confirmation for sure, which is the reason why I specifically wrote "it is implied". It is an implication and nothing else.
Verdanturf Town is a small town, so it's hard to think the people from there would import them from somewhere else, and the fact they're the only ones who sell it in the entire region is quite telling, but since there isn't an actual confirmation, I opted to still mention this fact in some shape, because it certainly feels like there's an implication that they may have been created in Verdanturf Town.
If that's not good enough though, I'll accept it and move on. I'll await for your response before doing anything. I want to have your confirmation that I can put the information about the Net and Dive Balls back in their articles safely. I'd follow the example of the Repeat and Timer Balls' articles this time though, and have it mentioned at the top of the page.
Thanks for the tip about line rows btw. I'll google up how to make use of it. Lunos (talk) 11:13, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
It's very simple to use. Just place it just before a row change.
Like this.
Also use the preview button to avoid clogging up the edit history. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:41, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Alright. Where does that leave us though?
Can I add the valuable information I wanted to add to the pages of the Nest, Dive and Net Balls, or not? Lunos (talk) 15:06, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
I already added the ones whose origins can be verified. Also, please start using <br>. Your way of writing just eats up space. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:19, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Ah, sorry. It slipped my mind completely.
So anyway, why is the implication that the Nest Ball was created in Verdanturf Town not even worth a mention in the Trivia section? I think it's valuable information related to the lore behind that type of Poké Ball. Lunos (talk) 16:09, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

EP059

[4] I assure you, Jigglypuff does not appear in the episode. At least not in the volcano, or in the dub. I insist you watch the episode if possible.

Also, Charizard's signature Seismic Toss? Other Pokemon learn it too. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 15:46, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

Jigglypuff does appear, Ash stops it singing as they try to stop the volcano erupting--BigDocFan (talk) 16:20, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Okay, I stand corrected. I just watched the scene with Jigglypuff. But what about Charizard's "signature Seismic Toss"? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:33, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
It isn't referring to "signature move" as in the literal sense of the word. It's signature in the sense that Charizard tends to use it as a finishing attack. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:30, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

Larvitarus is adding unofficial Pokémon themes!

Hey you, please stop rremoving my messages from the pages of PokéMaster97, abcboy, Maverick Nate, G50 and Zesty Cactus! The user Larvitarus has added unofficial Dutch Pokémon themes to the article 'List of Dutch Pokémon Themes'. Therefore, i need to get in touch with them since they're in charge of the artickle of music on Bulbapedia and they can remove the themes and ban Larvitarus from the site. Don't remove my messages again! - unsigned comment from JewelpetPrincess (talkcontribs)

You spammed the same post on multiple pages. Besides, Force Fire removed one of your posts already. And unofficial music is not official. It doesn't belong here. Also, please use the signature function to sign your talk page posts. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:42, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
Sorry. Misread your post. Okay, I get it. If it's unofficial, anyone can remove it. Just use the "undo" function. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:43, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
In the future, also be aware that contacting just one admin is enough. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:48, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

Mew's transformations in JN001

Hi, you removed my edits to JN001 saying that transformations don't count. Is there some kind of policy on that? I think it would be a good idea to include transformations in the character lists, since they don't happen that often anyway, and stuff like images of Pokemon appearing are included. Kihutaja (talk) 21:01, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

In fact, yes. There is a policy that says that transformations don't count. If it troubles you, please discuss about it with an admin. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 21:41, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

Lance

As far as I can tell, there's nothing that outright states that Lance definitively lost his position as Champion. I'm also not the only person that's running on the assumption that Lance is still the Champion. Furthermore, I would argue that even being a former Champion is notable enough (given that Lance placed 2nd in the WCS behind Leon, he's clearly still Champion level). PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 19:53, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

Both the Japanese version and the dub of JN012 describe him as a member of the Kanto Elite Four, not Kanto Champion. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:56, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
I watched the Japanese version and am aware of that line. I would still not consider that decisive proof that he lost his status as Champion by any means. Even his page only states that it was implied that he lost the title, not outright stated or proven. Unlike Wallace or Alder, Lance has no known successor either.
I will again state that even if he is a former Champion, it should still be more than notable enough. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 20:05, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
The trivia wouldn't really hold true if and when he's not a current Champion anymore. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:25, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
There is no actual proof that he ever lost his title to begin with (the Elite Four line is, in my opinion, dubious at best). After going through edit history on both the JN012 and Lance pages, I realized that you were the one who added the "he may have lost his title" line to both pages. I won't deny the possibility that it could have happened, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it did either.
Regardless, no Champion (current or former) had ever lost an onscreen battle to anyone prior to that episode. If the wording bothers you, it could easily be fixed to reflect that. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 20:32, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

Why is it wrong

You didn't explain what wrong with the grammar I shown many people. How about this one? Ash's Dragonite met the much more aggressive Dragonite of Iris. Ash's dragonite had to be hesitant to battle the frightening dragonite of Iris. However, it was going to try and battle to win for Ash!

Egg Pokémon (Masters)

I'm about to edit the page in the subject. This edit will add tables that explain all moves that sync pairs formed from Egg Pokémon use and more. However, when I first attempted to save my changes, I received a warning that my IP address or account may get blocked for using non-wiki formatting unless my edits are constructive. My edits are still in edit mode. If possible, may you please check my edits to see if they are okay? If that's not possible, then is there another way I can share my edits with you? Thank you. Solemn Mac (talk) 01:16, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

I dropped my edits. Still, though, do you know where I can give that edit a second opinion? Solemn Mac (talk) 06:10, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
You can ask an admin about it. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:32, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
Okay I'll do that. Thank you. Solemn Mac (talk) 14:42, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
You're welcome. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:46, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

Poké Cup/Prime Cup

Possibly asking a daft question here, but how do I go about obtaining approval for those? Doing it by round is clearly a more intuitive way of doing things as it is effectively in chronological order.--Tmwps (talk) 17:22, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

That is an opinion, not a solid fact. Edits as major as these must first get an admin approval before you as much as mainspace anything. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:17, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

Why did you hide my Pokemon Unite edit?

[7] I fail to see anything wrong with it. Why hide it? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 19:40, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

My explanation is on the edit summary. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:56, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
I do not understand your reasoning. If you think it's more than an intro thing, why not just edit it as opposed to hiding it? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 23:26, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
Because I do not know the further details myself. I'm waiting for someone who does to add them. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:08, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
Nobody's going to add to it if they can't see it. Besides, I don't think anything else needs to be said. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:20, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
It will be added, trust me. And if it's a game mechanic, it needs more details. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:37, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
It really isn't a game mechanic. The only time we see it is in that cutscene. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 00:36, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
Yeah. I know that by now. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 00:53, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
So can I please unhide the edit? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 18:12, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
Another user already wrote in their own, more detailed version. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:14, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

  • Dawn speaks in the chronological order that events took place (which by the way, is different from the launch order of games or even Ash's journey).. She is only reporting her Journey to Chloe, not claiming that there are Contests in Unova, Dawn's journey through Unova was quite detailed in the anime.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:55, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
She mentions she participated in Contests in Sinnoh, and also in Hoenn, Unova, and Johto. She listed them as regions that she has participated Contests in. In other words, yes, she has participated in Contests in Unova. PS. Please stop sending those images. They are way too big for talk pages and eat up a lot of space. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:00, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, do what you want. Never mind.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 15:12, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

May we talk about semantics of Raihan's and Hala's trivia?

I'm glad that someone cares about small details of these sections as much as I do, but do you notice that we have creative differences in how those details are portrayed?

If this keeps up, we're constantly going to edit over each other all day if not longer. Do you share my concern? If so, then do you agree that we need to make compromises? Solemn Mac (talk) 19:56, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

I don't see anything wrong with my versions. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:10, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
I'm not going to all of your edits. I just edited those two trivia points in a way that I think is easier to read. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:13, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
And I'm editing them in ways that make them even easier to read. However, when I say creative differences, I mean that what we believe what is "easier to read" is different. For example, you believe that giving one link to Fighting types and another to type experts makes more sense than giving one link to Fighting-type experts; I want the latter one while you want the former two. We should negotiate which link(s) to use instead of replacing each other's. The same goes for other little things in those four bullet points. Do you agree? --Solemn Mac (talk) 20:47, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
I've never really had to discuss details like this. I just thought having a link to both the Fighting type and the type expert articles was more convenient, giving easy access to both articles instead of just one. I really think we should just leave things as they are and move on, because this is not really that important. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:54, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
If you feel uncomfortable talking about this further, I won't force you to continue. However, doing something like this for the first time can be a good thing because we need to get out of our comfort zones in order to grow. Plus, to make this easier, we can always negotiate one detail per 1-2 day(s) starting tomorrow or the weekend. In any case, no matter how you feel about this topic, may you please acknowledge that it is important to me? --Solemn Mac (talk) 21:27, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
That I can't deny, because obviously it's a fact. So yeah. Acknowledged. I hope you can also acknowledge that I just wish for this thing to be left as it is and move on to other things. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 21:33, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
I acknowledge your wishes. However, because I want things to change, how about we agree on the following compromise: I make some edits while leaving some of your marks, especially the X-type and Type-expert links, alone? That way, we can move on in our own ways, and some of your expressions will remain intact. --Solemn Mac (talk) 22:03, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
I'm super tired right now, since it's very late where I live, and I'd just want this thing to be over with, so whatever. Go ahead. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:07, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
Thank you. May your evening be relaxing. --Solemn Mac (talk) 22:17, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Having it your way

Battle Pike

Please pay attention to what I'm actually saying in my edit summary. Not sure if you often just undo such undo edits in such a fashion, but for me, it definitely doesn't work when you address none of my concerns and just stick with what you wanted to do anyway.

Pokèmon Report

I can't understand how that would be better, I think it's certainly not. I think "See also" should pretty much point to related articles(/topics). And a "List of" another dex has nothing to do with the PKMN Report, and then even worse, it shouldn't be hidden under text that looks like it's an article that's actually called "Photodex", when it's not.

The "See also" section on the Pokémon Report article was created before Chosen moved the page to its current "List of" title while leaving a redirect. (Tbh, I always though Chosen would create a proper "Photodex" article within a few days, but that obviously hasn't happened.) As a compromise, I have removed it entirely (at least until a Photodex article is created).

(Also, you probably misunderstood, noone suggested to move the List of article back to just "Photodex".)

User talk:Dry Paratroopa

We talked about direct links time and time again, and I even specifically asked you not to suggest your "opinions" as the way to go to other users. However, you continue to take advantage of me being lenient and respectful (and probably also lazy, away, ..) in the past, and now even do mass edits to have it your way, despite knowing that I very explicitly disagree? That's disappointing, to be honest.

All in all, feel free to talk to me or do whatever, but be aware that I will personally not tolerate you trying to have it your way while not addressing any of my concerns. Nescientist (talk) 21:50, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

1) I thought my edit on Battle Pike was perfectly appropriate and didn't look that awkward. However, I approve your correction, and it can stay as it is now. I only undid your reversion because you restored the grammaticallu incorrect version.
2) The "See also" link was there because the Pokémon Report and the Photodex are similar concepts from the same side game series. I see no reason why the Photodex couldn't be included as a "See also" link on "Pokémon Report". And I think there's no need for a separate Photodex page. The list is fine.
3) Um... DP didn't even respond yet, so we don't know what their opinion to my suggestion even was. And I made a new post there. I'm fine with editing the existing redirect links myself, but I'd prefer if they started avoiding making redirect links in the future.
--FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:18, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
1) Ok.
2) That's what was there originally and after my reversion, the contrast "Pokémon Report"↔"Photodex". (If you want that back on the page, I'd very much agree.) There's no reasonable contrast "Pokémon Report"↔"List of Pokémon by Photodex order".
3) Their opinion is irrelevant here. I think DP's edits were perfectly fine, and yours were uncalled for. My point stands, you shouldn't just suggest your way is the way to go. Nescientist (talk) 22:48, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
2) Photodex = List of Pokémon by Photodex order.
3) I admit, asking them to do all the fixing was uncalled for. But I think asking to avoid adding redirect links in the future is not unfair to ask for. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:53, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
2) No? (And/or, why would you change something if you think so?)
3) I'm not sure I understand. (There was nothing that required fixing, their edits were what I would've done.)
Maybe would you do me a favor, and read this again tommorow with a clear mind, trying to understand what I'm trying to say (potentially reading our past conversations)? I feel like that's the more promising approach. Nescientist (talk) 23:11, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
2) Yes. Because "Photodex" redirects to the list, so they are the same. At least for the time being, and potentially for the foreseeable future.
3) I actually didn't even remember that talk page post you sent me. It's been two years since that was made. And I already understood not to demand corrections to already existing stuff. What do you mean? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 23:29, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
2) You didn't address anything I said (that's why I suggested you read it again). Long story short: there's two options, either feel free to change it back to how it was before (I prefer that, and based on what I understand, you should actually be fine with that?), or we leave it as is. I'll leave that up to you.
3) As I said, I mean you shouldn't suggest your way is the way to go (here: changing direct locations via DL). (Beyond that, if you don't understand a particular part of what I was/am saying or why, feel free to specify.) Nescientist (talk) 14:55, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
It's not a personal preference to use direct links over redirects, it's a general rule of thumb for the site. It doesn't matter if it "does the same thing", as per your own reasoning for preferring redirects, you should be using direct links wherever possible.--ForceFire 08:14, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
FYI, this is something we should codify. We're trying to take a fresh look at redirects, so the finalized policy could be different than above. See Bulbapedia talk:Editor's Hub#Codifying: redirects. Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:10, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

A couple of questions

Hey! You seem to know what you're doing around here. I've a couple of questions:

  1. What does it mean for a user to be "autoconfirmed"? I've noticed that some pages that I've edited are partially protected so that only autoconfirmed users can make changes to them.
  2. Why can't "sup" templates be used in "Party" templates (like I made them when editing the articles for the locations featuring the Stat Trainers)?

Thanks! Pale Prism (talk) 22:32, 21 August 2021 (UTC)

I'm not sure what autoconfirmed means, so you'll have to ask an admin, but as for the "sup" thing, I think using "tt" just saves space. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 23:59, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
Okay, I'll ask around to see what exactly autoconfirmed means. Regarding the use of "tt": I get that it uses less space, but I think that it still uses the same number of lines as "sup" (when used within "Party" templates, at least), so I feel that the latter's more preferable, because it shows up more easily on most mobile devices. Pale Prism (talk) 00:59, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

Totodile

Why exactly was my addition "unnecessary"DlCK VAN DYKE FAN (talk) 18:54, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Ash's Torterra's page states exactly what was said to confirm its gender, so how come you haven't removed that information from Torterra's page for being 'unnecessary'?DlCK VAN DYKE FAN (talk) 18:56, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
The trivia point mentions what's necessary: that the Japanese version confirmed Totodile being male. And if you really want to add the dialogue that confirms it, you can just add the translation without the Japanese text, because I'm fairly certain most people who use Bulbapedia can't even read it. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:58, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
Then why didn't you just remove the Japanese text, and not remove it entirely?DlCK VAN DYKE FAN (talk) 19:01, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
That was me acting in the heat of the moment. Sorry. I can readd it if you want. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:02, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
It's ok I just did.DlCK VAN DYKE FAN (talk) 19:04, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
Okay. I tweaked the text a little, but retained the quote. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:05, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Unown

Hello, why are you reversing the distinction of the forms of the Unown? It is that I see that they have also put those of Alcremie and in fact, that one has many more. Also, all the letters in Unown are different forms. Happy day.--Staraptor ¡Brave Bird! 14:59, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

Coordinator sprites on List of Contest opponents (Generation III)

I've just finished an edit on List of Contest opponents (Generation III) that added most of the missing Coordinator sprites, but there are two that I can't find in the archives and three that need resizing to 32x32. I don't have permissions on the archive to fix it myself. Can you help? - unsigned comment from Lagnic (talkcontribs)

I'm not sure. I don't know if I can get the missing sprites from anywhere, and not sure if I can resize the wrongly sized sprites. You could probably also ask help from an administrator. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:30, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
I have the sprites, I've uploaded them to an imgur album here. The first two I couldn't find, the other three are resized. Could you upload the first two? I'm fairly new here so I don't know any administrators. Who would I ask about this? Lagnic (talk) 13:10, 16 October 2021 (UTC)

Pansear

How can a Pokémon that belongs to A MAIN CHARACTER who has four appearances (so far) not be placed with major appearances? Please, tell me.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 18:25, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

None of those appearances have been all that major. Plus, as I said in the edit summary, Pansear was already listed in the minor appearances section. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:43, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

About the Finnish term for the Champion Cup

Where did you hear it being translated as Mestarien Cup? I'm asking because that would also determine if it should be used in Finnish Wikipedia articles as well. --CAJH (talk) 13:01, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

It was mentioned in JN012, specifically during Leon's introduction. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:14, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
Okay. Haven't seen the episode because I don't have Netflix. --CAJH (talk) 14:49, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

Barry's Empoleon

Chosen himself placed sections to complement the Empoleon article. Is it really that you want to create an edit war on top of something like this? The article explicitly says not to put GAMES MATERIAL. Evolutions is not game material, it's an anime. --Hikaru Wazana (talk) 16:49, 12 December 2021 (UTC)

Evolutions is a direct adaptation of the games, so it's a no-go in my eyes. I think Chosen simply edited the links of the images that he moved. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:51, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
Wants to know? Do what you want. It's already clear that you have more voice than me here for a long time. I won't argue anymore.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 16:55, 12 December 2021 (UTC)

Devolutions

Hey, I saw what you and ForceFire agreed on, but he never said get rid of the pictures or information around them. He said the templates and redirects. Those forms and eggs still happened and should be on the pages. Removing them makes no sense, since it is basically ignoring information.--Rahl (talk) 14:19, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

I'm not sure if even they count, since they're not natural form changes. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:21, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
It's fine for the main article detailing an individuals history, just not in the infobox and whether it counts as an actual ownership.--ForceFire 14:23, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Gotcha. Fine by me. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 14:25, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Perfect. Thank you.--Rahl (talk) 14:25, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Pokémon Journeys manga

Hi, if not asking too much, would there be a possibility that you could tell me where you got the other chapters of the Pokémon Journeys manga? I could only find it until chapter 4. Could you give me the link please?.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 12:50, 19 December 2021 (UTC)

I haven't found anything past chapter 4 myself either. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:56, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
Oh I see, it's just that I saw you putting the image of Darmanitan and I thought you had the other chapters. Alright then, thanks.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 13:01, 19 December 2021 (UTC)

Casteliacone and Vanillite

Hi, FinnishPokéFan92. I noticed you reversed an edit I made to the Casteliacone page and I was wondering if you would reconsider. I stated that "It superficially resembles the Pokémon Vanillite", and your comment on reversing that inclusion states "We don't know which is based on which."

I agree with you! However, my edit did not declare that one was specifically based on the other - just that there is a resemblance between them. I agree that it would be erroneous to suggest that one was specifically based on the other because we literally do not know, but the fact that they debuted in the same games suggests it is not a coincidence and I think it is worth pointing out that their is a resemblance between them. Please let me know what you think. - Zoode101 (talk) 20:29, 27 December 2021 (UTC)

Macro cozmos

Hello there! I see you undid my macro cosmos edit about the logo, i do not believe it to be a coincidence as they are exactly the same, therefore, could you please reconsider undoing my edit? have a great day! :) --DHP613 (talk) 20:23, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

I will leave the judgement up to Force Fire. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:10, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Pokémon God Arceus

First of all, I'm here to talk to you because you're usually the one who starts the episode pages. I started making a draft of the Pokémon Arceus episodes page, since I started a discussion on discord and all I got was an accusation of stealing information (from something that is available on Pokémon.co.jp's own website) . Anyway, I was wondering if you can help me with what I need, and the sections I'm missing, as some people aren't helping me that much. I would like to know if there is a possibility for us to collaborate on this. I would also like to ask if you can take a look at the page I created for the Bidoof special. I just need to put the credits for the special and I have to put everything in my Notepad to keep the information together. I wanted to get an evaluation to know if there is anything else that can be added or if everything is within the site's standards.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 17:37, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

Cynthia

Are you really going to make a case with that page? REALLY? Do you have any idea how much time I wasted doing that?Cynthia's page was practically a draft.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 18:37, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

I removed your edits because of the reasons I gave. You can create a Sandbox subpage on your user page to create the draft of your edit before submitting it all at once. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:22, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

Galar

Hello! I am here regarding your revision of my edit, Britain being cloudy is a common stereotype so since galar, a region heavily based on the UK, is portrayed as cloudy, I feel it right to point out the relationship, plus, there was already a trivia note noting that it is portrayed as cloudy and i was simply noting the conection, why didn't you delete that? i hope you respond soon, have a great day/evening/night! --DHP613 (talk) 01:20, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

EP005

Why did you revert my edit on said page? Wasn't that the debut of Brock's Onix?--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 18:06, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

It was, but not the species as a whole. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:14, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
Can you please explain it better? Are you implying that the Onix species appeared in previous episodes?--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 19:20, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
I just did a bit of research on the previous episodes and saw that an Onix appeared in EP001 in the opening battle sequence. Sorry for the inconvenience, guess I needed to refresh my memory.--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 19:24, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
