Poppy (Japanese: ポピー Poppy) is a member of Elite Four of the Paldea region. She specializes in Steel-type Pokémon.
In the core series
Poppy is first introduced to the player by Rika after they have won four Gym Badges. Although she is far younger than the rest of the Elite Four, as well as Paldea's Gym Leaders, Poppy is considered one of the strongest Pokémon Trainers in the region. She is normally sweet and good-natured, but becomes competitive during battles; because of her age, she alludes to her Pokémon with childlike nicknames. After the player becomes a Champion, Poppy watches their battle against Nemona in Mesagoza.
