In the Generation V games, the Petaya Berry can be sold to the gourmet maniac on Route 5 for $20.
Effect
Held item
A Petaya Berry raises the holder's Special Attack by one stage when the holder's HP drop to ¼ or below. If the holder has Gluttony, then it eats its Petaya Berry when its HP drops to ½ or below. If the holder has Ripen, then its Special Attack rises by two stages.
When forcibly consumed via Fling, Pluck, Bug Bite, or Item Urge, it raises the Special Attack of the consumer by one stage.
