Rhyhorn (Japanese: サイホーン Sihorn) is a Ground/Rock-type Pokémon.

Biology

Physiology

Rhyhorn's body consists of gray, rocky plates. Rhyhorn has four short legs and and triangle-shaped head with a single, short horn.

Gender differences

A female has a shorter horn.

Special abilities

Rhyhorn most well known method of attack is to charge straight into things. A charging Rhyhorn can knock a trailer flying. Rhyhorn can also use various Rock and Ground attacks. Rhyhorn can also learn elemental attack, but these type of attacks aren't very strong when used by a Rhyhorn (save for the Elemental Fangs). Rhyhorn is one of the few Pokémon capable of learning Megahorn.

Behavior

One can say that Rhyhorn has rocks for brains because it can only remember one thing at a time. A perfect example of this is whenever a Rhyhorn starts charging, it'll forget why it did so in the first place.

Habitat

Rhyhorn live in open plains and mountain ranges.

In the manga

In the Pokémon Special manga

Rhyhorn debuts in the Red, Green & Blue chapter in Raging Rhydon as Koga's Pokémon. After getting defeated by Red's Pikachu, Pika, it's forced to evolve with a mysterious injection.
