Trivia

  • Mime Jr.'s US name was revealed on May 28, 2006, the same day that Weavile's name was revealed.
  • Mime Jr. is one of three Pokémon on the player's team in the demo version of Diamond and Pearl.
  • Mime Jr. is one of the few pre-evolution Pokémon with a wide moveset, learning its last move on level 50. Other pre-evolutions are lucky to learn any moves past level 20.
  • Mime jr. Does not learn any moves that it's evolution, Mr. Mime doesn't learn. From a competitive standpoint Mime jr. is thus quite useless.

Origin

Mime Jr. is based on a mime and a clown. Mime Jr. also looks like ice cream in a cone with whipped cream at the top.

Name origin

Mime Jr.'s name is based on that of its evolved form, Mr. Mime. Its Japanese name, Manene, is based on 真似 mane, mimicry. Its Korean name, 흉내내, comes from the Korean word for 'mimicry' (흉내내기).
