Miles

Miles (Japanese: アキヒト Akihito) is a recurring character who appeared in Pokémon Adventures.

History

Yellow arc

Miles debuted in Whacked by Marowak!. He was hired by Agatha to capture Red's Pikachu, Pika. By wearing a special bodysuit he developed, Miles fooled Pika into thinking he was its Trainer, who had gone missing after a battle with the Elite Four. He was pursued by Yellow, who chased Miles into Celadon City, but was unable to determine his exact whereabouts due to it being dark out. Luring Yellow into a trap, Miles repeatedly struck her with his Marowak's Bonemerang. By having his Persian scratch some walls, it released loud sound waves that masked the sound of the incoming bone.

In Paras Sight, Yellow allowed herself to be hit by Marowak's Bonemerang in order to tie her Poké Balls onto the bone. When the bone returned to its owner, Yellow's Ratty and Dody leapt in and freed Pika from Miles's grasp. Miles attempted to flee, but was surrounded by Erika, Brock, Misty, and Blaine. With a combination attack launched by Yellow's Pokémon, Miles was surrounded by a pile of rubble, trapping and defeating him. Agatha had her Gastly possess Miles's unconscious body in an attempt to silence him and remove any leads that would help in finding Red. Gastly's gaseous body allowed it to dodge any move thrown at it, but it was eventually taken down by Blue when he arrived on the scene. Blue then revealed to everyone that Miles was hired by Agatha, as he recognized the strategy her Gastly used from a previous encounter with her.

In The Primeape Directive, it was revealed that Miles was taken to the Cinnabar Gym to recuperate from the injuries he sustained while possessed by Agatha's Gastly. In Take a Chance on Chansey, while Blaine was away, Evan routinely checked in on Miles and kept his Pokémon fed until Miles eventually woke up from his coma.

In Bang the Drum, Slowbro, the Cinnabar Gym was attacked by a multitude of Dragon-type Pokémon commanded by the Elite Four. Miles and Evan kept themselves hidden while they waited for Yellow and the Gym Leaders to defeat the Elite Four.

Gold, Silver & Crystal arc

In Oh, It's Ho-Oh!, Miles and Evan entered in the Pokémon League. As they had no Gym Badges, they had to take part in the preliminary rounds. Due to the Masked Man's attack on the Indigo Plateau, the tournament was canceled and they never got a chance to compete.

FireRed & LeafGreen arc

In Double Down Deoxys, Miles and Evan were seen visiting Blaine at the Cinnabar Gym.

Pokémon
