Milk Drink (Japanese: ミルクのみ Milk Drink) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation II. From Generations II through V and in Generation VIII, it is the signature move of Miltank. In Generation IX, it is the signature move of Skiddo and Gogoat.

Effect

In battle

Generations II to IV

Milk Drink restores up to 50% of the user's maximum HP, rounded down.

Generations V to VII

Milk Drink now restores 50% of the user's maximum HP, rounded up.

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Milk Drink, all of the user's lowered stats are reset.

Generation VIII

In Versions 1.0 to 1.1.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Milk Drink could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.2.0, it is usable and functions as it did in previous generations.

Generation IX

Milk Drink's PP was reduced to 5.

Outside of battle

Prior to Generation VII, and in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Milk Drink can be used outside of battle to transfer some of the user's HP to another party Pokémon. Each use will transfer 20% of the user's HP, up to the target's maximum HP. The move will not work if the user has 20% or less HP left.
